- The 2018 FIFA World Cup was one of high intensity action, pure glory, and twists and turns at every corner. 64 matches were played at this tournament, and each game had something special, whether it be a storyline, a moment, or a goal that will forever be remembered. Today, in my largest project to date, we rank every match from this breathtaking tournament, 5 years after the first whistle blew in the iconic Luzhniki Stadium. Best World Cup of my lifetime. England having a decent run for once and coinciding with a summer heatwave (echos of Italia 90). Aside from that there were plenty of classic games and goals, plus only one 0-0 draw during the whole tournament. 2022 was a decent World Cup but with it taking place in the winter it just didn’t feel like a World Cup. 2010 the most dross World Cup IMO.

France-Denmark 2018 is maybe one of the WORST match I've ever seen in my entire life
I like some 0-0 matches and I often defend France 2018, which I often find criticized (also in France)., but this match was soooo awful...
With Deschamps, you should NEVER watch the 3rd group matches, they're always boring (except against Portugal in euro 2020), but the 2018 match broke all records
You should do the 2014 world cup and the 2020/2021 euros

I would put Japan-Poland into the F tier. I remember the embarrassement all Poles felt during the last 10 minutes, as our side was just passing the ball meaninglessly, culminating in the coach wanting to bring Błaszczykowski for his last WC match and telling one of the players to fake an injury so that he'd have a chance to come on the pitch.

It should be on S tier but it isn’t “easily” the match of the tournament, you could argue belgium vs japan or even france vs argentina
