Im again, truly sorry for what you've been going through. I mean, I get it. Its tough to move on. I dont know if this will help but how about you make a book. Not just any book, but a book of memories. A special book with special moments you've shared with you brother. All the happy moments, sad moments, and moments you truly appreciate. Write down your regrets, your hopes, and what your most thankful for. It doesnt have to be perfect or pretty, dont think much about it. Just *write.* Just write down everything that comes into your head. Dont think too much about it. Love will come through and do the work for you. Every time you miss him, read the book to yourself! Write everything and anything you want to say to him. It doesn't stop there! You can keep adding more and more pages every time you wanna see him or talk to him. Just know its okay to cry or feel sad. Sibling love truly overpowers everything else. He's looking up over at you in god's hands. Im sure he loved you dearly! I know siblings can be annoying sometimes, i mean lets be honest, my brother is literally a clear example. But they are the most precious things we can get! You dont need to move on from his memory, keep it with you in your heart! How is this good writing? The father is just as guilty. He set her up. And why do that when she has her child even during 2 hours you never know when a relapse can happen. Plus why didnt they even try to unlock the driver side and passenger door? This isnt good writing at all. 🤦🏾♂️
You will never know what will happen if a parent leaves his or her son or daughter in the car, someone can break the windows and kidnap the child or they could suffer from the heat during the Summer.
@@Lightfurygirl I know right!! It's quite normal where I live to leave your child in the car while the mom/dad go to the market or smthng.. We just turn on A/C and all.. But I get it that if the child too young then it's best not to leave them alone..

As a recovering addict and clean for 18yrs now I personally feel Michelle's choice to talk with Brian was her downfall. For me in the beginning when I was out in Public and ran across a former using buddy that recognized me I'd simply acknowledge them with a simple wave and go on my way. If they tried to engage in conversation I'd politely cut them off and let them know we can't speak so as not to jeopardize my sobriety. It hurt at times to do it but what I needed to do if I wanted to keep moving forward. I do the same thing even 18yrs later because I know I won't hit 19yrs if I do. An actual RELAPSE starts WAY before an addict uses again. There's something that's missing in their Program long enough and they pickup. That's been my experience after 7-rehabs. It's tough but can be done. CONTENT PUT TOGETHER VERY WELL LUIS
How much of a struggle would you say it is to not relapse? Is it something that’s constantly on your mind or more of a memory every now and then? I’m just curious because you still identify as a recovering addicted instead of former/recovered, even after almost 20 years.
I'm kind of biased to the ending of the video, the reason being is because if someone is struggling with drugs why would you trick them and set them up to see if they would take it? They're still struggling. And of course they would take it. That's kind of setting them up for failure? Anyway I love all your videos they're uplifting and always give you something to think about.
I was thinking the same! Maybe if he wouldn't have tricked her she would have stayed clean long enough to be able to refuse when someone comes up to her. It's not like having caught someone who's cheating, here it's an addiction so it's really different!

You should never ever leave a kid in the car, especially in really hot or cold weather. The kid could get kidnapped or die from over heating or freezing. The mom being more worried about her drugs over the safety of her daughter is horrible. I'm glad that the dad came and saved his daughter. He told the mom she had one more chance and she blew it. This is why you never start it in the first place. To get out of it, you need medical + psychiatric team to help you with this. It is very difficult to explain.
@@kaitlintropper2061 well in a lot of cases people started because of an injury or illness , were prescribed narcotic pain killers , no longer have a prescription after awhile and resort to other means . Yes it’s a choice but the choice between pain and immediate relief is an easy one to fall into unfortunately for alot of people
@@jakeskatesbro that’s why it is very hard to explain how. It is true about the narcotics. I did see in my mental health rotation individuals who are addictive to drugs or even pain killer. You can’t just tell the person to stop without having a proper plan.

My mother told me that once she began having children, she was thoroughly instructed to NEVER leave a child alone in a hot car. Sadly the way the laws are written, if I was the mother's father and started belting her for crying over she got caught leaving her child in a hot car, I probably would have been charged with battery. Brian did the right thing by alerting the police. If you want time alone with your friend and you have a child in tow, first thing you do is to have a trusted adult look after your child before going to meet your friend.
Poor ass acting. His actions could have caused 2 deaths. Hes a dumb ass if you ask me. Setting up a recovering addict when 2 lives are at stake not knowing what can happen whilst their daughter is with her operating a motor vehicle.
So not gonna lie, two thoughts. 1) If the wife is insane for bringing the daughter into this situation.... how bout the husband for bringing the daughter into the apartment of the drug dealer once he saved her.... like don't save her from the car only to bring her into a more dangerous one....And 2) that is a tad bit messed up to entrap the wife there when she's barely into the program. If this were a few years into sobriety that's one thing, but that drug dealer was hella pushy and she wasn't that settled in... Having said all that, def gonna keep tuning in cause this is the most entertaining stuff online. keep it up!
@@rubybrewsday1497 you didn't pay more attention, rewatch the video, Luis, The supposed dealer was tricking the mom, he texted the dad and said: Shes here, she left the kid in the car, GET OVER HERE QUICK if it wasn't for him the daughter would've died, the drug part was a test to see if she'd take them and sadly she did
kindly watch the short film again.....here Luis was just acting as a drug seller only and the entire thing was a set up to check whether michelle had quit taking drugs ! David was so worried about the safety of his own daughter when she was around with her mom !!! if the court wasnt favourable to michelle by giving visitation rights then he would nt be doing this set up !!!!
I totally agree with you. He set her up to fail and he is just as responsible for putting his little girl’s life in danger. If she was going to use without that pusher lying to her, she would have done it that first time when the husband gave her money for ice cream. This was so messed up.
I am now 10 years clean, when I was screwing up, I knew to just relinquish my rights to my kids they were better off without me. I went balls out for a year near death God pulled me out of the pits of hell. I did regain custody of my kids. Drugs are so evil and very controlling of a person. But until you are set free from them by our Lord and savior you are never truly free. I have no desire for drugs or alcohol, whom the son sets free he is free indeed. Praying for all who are in the fight for their lives turn to Jesus he will set you free and give you a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Never allow drugs to become a huge distraction or part of your life because it’ll put you in a darker place that you must overcome before it’s permanently an addiction

The husband was so wrong. Its like given a load gun to a child and expect them not to shoot themselves. He knew her weakness and you tempted her after six months and what kind of person would jeopardize his daughter to prove a point.
No because why would you put someone who just got off drugs through a test like this? That’s just cruel. It’s like gaslighting someone who used to be depressed and giving them a razor blade and expecting them not to cut themselves.
@@hawkeyepierce7035 He literally hired a guy to show up and peer pressure her into getting high while she was clearly telling him she was trying to get her life together. Anyone who believes this is a good idea has zero understanding of addiction and recovery. I'm not excusing her actions but why would you use high pressure tactics to test a newly recovering addict and expect them to be strong enough to turn them down. She had six months, not a couple years.

That lady didn't just leave her daughter in a hot car to get high! She put her in a car seat without a booster seat AND didn't buckle her daughter's safety belt! She endangered her poor daughter's life thrice!
If she had passed the "test" and told her former supplier that she was never using drugs again and that he wanted him to leave her alone then her former husband would have had much more trust and might have let her have overnight visits with her daughter or take her on vacations. Maybe they would have even rekindled their relationship and gotten remarried or something. But now its game over.

A sad, very sad, but truthful lesson learned here today. Anything could have happened to that little girl. Using is abusing and to get clean it is one minute at a time every single day for the rest of your life. I hope she try’s again and can start her life over.

After so many chances David have given Michelle ... she have finally blew it this time . Thank God for David who hired Brian for the set up to see where Michelle stands as he had to rescue his little daughter from suffocating in the hot car . David can now file for full custody and terminate his wife's parenting rights . Good for David .
I gotta agree with the other commenter here. While it's bad that Michelle agreed to do it, this is a classic issue with drug abuse. This is why they have systems in place where they can call someone when they feel they're struggling to stay clean. It's not an easy task. People struggle to quit smoking and have to work out so many different methods. When it comes to the higher class drugs it's a whole other ball game. So David not only tested her, but he used someone she obviously knew who knew her weaknesses and gave them full clearance to say whatever was needed to get her using again. So yeah. Good on David. He took a person who was finally getting clean and trying to do the right thing, and pushed her right back into the depths of hell she had been fighting for months to get out of. He put her recovery time back to the starting point, but with an added penalty of now she'll probably never get to see her daughter again even for visitations, thus removing her only motivation she had to get clean to start with. Well done to David who took his daughters recovering mother away from her. Who destroyed a womans life and took away the only reason she very obviously had left to try and stay clean and healthy and alive. Good for David for potentially killing his former wife. But it's fine. He now has full custody and terminated his wife.... 's parenting rights.
I'm very happy and very proud of this video with the dad saving his daughter life. I'm happy she okay. And I'm happy she well. I feel terrible for her being left in the car. You can't do that to someone that's in recovery it's very tempting to tell them they got them for free for someone who's an addict don't do that if they're clean and doing good don't tempt them don't put them around people that do it don't offer free. you're going to push them to relapse or potentially overdose. She was doing so good till dad wanted to test her and the guy was pushing her after she said no that's not okay if he woulda never did that she woulda been clean still.

Yes drugs are indeed detrimental to your health and family but shouldn't let it make out the recoverer to be treated like a test knowing how addictive her drug of choice was as witnessed by the father in the beginning. Rather like the other replier said, glad to see someones got common sense. It was definitely wrong for David to trick her after she had only recovered clean for 6 months. And if he hadn’t done that it’s more than possible his daughter wouldn’t have been in that situation.

I mean to be fair it's possible the mother could've been visited by some drug dealer who may trick her into the same thing which had nothing to do with David, but still. Someone's doing well for 6 months, you don't pull that trap on them any time soon. Especially when they may genuinely be trying but can't because their adiction is so strong. And yeah, it was insane for her to leave her kid in the car, which is exactly the point. Drug adictions make you insane. By playing with that I'd argue that David was partly responsible for this situation. I do feel bad for him though. Having a wife with drug abuse definitely effects the whole family, and he was probably just trying to see if she really was squeaky clean. But that was by no means the right way to go about solving it.

She left her daughter in the car not him this video is stupid what he did was stupid but what she did was unforgivably reckless and selfish. This could have happened without a setup and she could have left her in the car and nobody notified him she would have died. He did what he had to do to protect his child. I come from a family full of addicts and not once have they ever put anyone in danger for drugs and I've seen them struggle. Drugs or not she was not fit to be a mother

I had to rewind to watch her start to cry again because seeing people who make decisions as senseless as this miserable is comforting to me. Not only did she put her daughter in danger, she also harmed herself by using those drugs. Getting high is dangerous.
I couldn't believe that the mother was doing drugs & putting her family in danger. Drugs is a nasty habit, & it's costly as well. I was surprised when Louis showed up in a hoodie & a basketball cap, & tricked the mom into taking drugs. But the mom didn't know what was going on, & Louis was texting the husband of what was going on!! I'm glad she gotten busted for leaving her daughter in the car.
I don’t know how I feel about this one. He set up her up to fail and that was really wrong and he is just as responsible for putting his daughter’s life in jeopardy as she is. I think that he shouldn’t have done that.
We live in such a cruel world, it's so so sad. When you do drugs for depression it does nothing but screws you up mentally just like other drugs, tobacco and alcohol. Jesus, people need to practice abstinence for once. 😢😡
This isn't about the husband being an abusive control freak against his wife. He was trying to protect their daughter from the neglect of the mother. From what I understand, inland communities in Southern California can easily reach 95°F during the day in summer. In the short time that SUV was turned off and thus without the air conditioning system running, the temperature inside could have easily exceeded 110-120°F. Modern windows can turn cars into greenhouses, where temperatures can easily reach 80-90°F on a sunny day with an outside temperature as low as 50°F. Someone sometime did an experiment with a car in the heat of Death Valley, and the temperature inside the car reached far in excess of 200°F, hot enough to literally _cook_ a meal of eggs and cookies.
I don't think the husband did any better than the wife. The wife was genuinely trying to stay clean, but she was in rehab for only a few months, so she would of course take the drugs because she was still struggling. Addictions take years to overcome, not a few days or months. The husband should've just checked if she was going to her meetings and whatnot. Not defending the mom for doing that to her daughter but she was still vulnerable so I wouldve expected for her to take the drugs if I were the husband.

Write down your regrets, your hopes, and what your most thankful for. It doesnt have to be perfect or pretty, dont think much about it. Just *write.* Just write down everything that comes into your head. Dont think too much about it. Love will come through and do the work for you. Every time you miss him, read the book to yourself! Write everything and anything you want to say to him. It doesn't stop there! You can keep adding more and more pages every time you wanna see him or talk to him. Just know its okay to cry or feel sad. Sibling love truly overpowers everything else. He's looking up over at you in god's hands. Im sure he loved you dearly! I know siblings can be annoying sometimes, i mean lets be honest, my brother is literally a clear example. But they are the most precious things we can get! You dont need to move on from his memory, keep it with you in your heart! He'll be safe with you, and you'll be safe with him. ♡ I know this is completely irrelevant, but you see like a really nice person. Would you wanna be friends?

As a recovering addict and clean for 18yrs now I personally feel Michelle's choice to talk with Brian was her downfall. For me in the beginning when I was out in Public and ran across a former using buddy that recognized me I'd simply acknowledge them with a simple wave and go on my way. If they tried to engage in conversation I'd politely cut them off and let them know we can't speak so as not to jeopardize my sobriety. It hurt at times to do it but what I needed to do if I wanted to keep moving forward. I do the same thing even 18yrs later because I know I won't hit 19yrs if I do. An actual RELAPSE starts WAY before an addict uses again. There's something that's missing in their Program long enough and they pickup. That's been my experience after 7-rehabs. It's tough but can be done. CONTENT PUT TOGETHER VERY WELL LUIS

How much of a struggle would you say it is to not relapse? Is it something that’s constantly on your mind or more of a memory every now and then? I’m just curious because you still identify as a recovering addicted instead of former/recovered, even after almost 20 years.
I'm kind of biased to the ending of the video, the reason being is because if someone is struggling with drugs why would you trick them and set them up to see if they would take it? They're still struggling. And of course they would take it. That's kind of setting them up for failure? Anyway I love all your videos they're uplifting and always give you something to think about.
And also what are you doing consorting with a drug dealer?

You should never ever leave a kid in the car, especially in really hot or cold weather. The kid could get kidnapped or die from over heating or freezing. The mom being more worried about her drugs over the safety of her daughter is horrible. I'm glad that the dad came and saved his daughter. He told the mom she had one more chance and she blew it. Drugs can be hard to get off of, but you gotta motivate and be supportive. And support the cause and be there for them and change and train them.

This is why you never start it in the first place. To get out of it, you need medical + psychiatric team to help you with this. It is very difficult to explain.
@@kaitlintropper2061 well in a lot of cases people started because of an injury or illness , were prescribed narcotic pain killers , no longer have a prescription after awhile and resort to other means . Yes it’s a choice but the choice between pain and immediate relief is an easy one to fall into unfortunately for alot of people
@@jakeskatesbro that’s why it is very hard to explain how. It is true about the narcotics. I did see in my mental health rotation individuals who are addictive to drugs or even pain killer. You can’t just tell the person to stop without having a proper plan.

My mother told me that once she began having children, she was thoroughly instructed to NEVER leave a child alone in a hot car. Sadly the way the laws are written, if I was the mother's father and started belting her for crying over she got caught leaving her child in a hot car, I probably would have been charged with battery. Brian did the right thing by alerting the police. If you want time alone with your friend and you have a child in tow, first thing you do is to have a trusted adult look after your child before going to meet your friend.
I been in a hot car before but I chose to stay bc I didn't want to go inside the store but the windows were down

So not gonna lie, two thoughts. 1) If the wife is insane for bringing the daughter into this situation.... how bout the husband for bringing the daughter into the apartment of the drug dealer once he saved her.... like don't save her from the car only to bring her into a more dangerous one....And 2) that is a tad bit messed up to entrap the wife there when she's barely into the program. If this were a few years into sobriety that's one thing, but that drug dealer was hella pushy and she wasn't that settled in...

I am now 10 years clean, when I was screwing up, I knew to just relinquish my rights to my kids they were better off without me. I went balls out for a year near death God pulled me out of the pits of hell. I did regain custody of my kids. Drugs are so evil and very controlling of a person. But until you are set free from them by our Lord and savior you are never truly free. I have no desire for drugs or alcohol, whom the son sets free he is free indeed. Praying for all who are in the fight for their lives turn to Jesus he will set you free and give you a peace that surpasses all understanding.

No because why would you put someone who just got off drugs through a test like this? That’s just cruel. It’s like gaslighting someone who used to be depressed and giving them a razor blade and expecting them not to cut themselves.

I'm not excusing her actions but why would you use high pressure tactics to test a newly recovering addict and expect them to be strong enough to turn them down. She had six months, not a couple years.

That lady didn't just leave her daughter in a hot car to get high! She put her in a car seat without a booster seat AND didn't buckle her daughter's safety belt! She endangered her poor daughter's life thrice!
If she had passed the "test" and told her former supplier that she was never using drugs again and that he wanted him to leave her alone then her former husband would have had much more trust and might have let her have overnight visits with her daughter or take her on vacations. Maybe they would have even rekindled their relationship and gotten remarried or something. But now its game over.

I gotta agree with the other commenter here.
While it's bad that Michelle agreed to do it, this is a classic issue with drug abuse. This is why they have systems in place where they can call someone when they feel they're struggling to stay clean. It's not an easy task. People struggle to quit smoking and have to work out so many different methods. When it comes to the higher class drugs it's a whole other ball game. So David not only tested her, but he used someone she obviously knew who knew her weaknesses and gave them full clearance to say whatever was needed to get her using again.
So yeah. Good on David. He took a person who was finally getting clean and trying to do the right thing, and pushed her right back into the depths of hell she had been fighting for months to get out of. He put her recovery time back to the starting point, but with an added penalty of now she'll probably never get to see her daughter again even for visitations, thus removing her only motivation she had to get clean to start with.
Well done to David who took his daughters recovering mother away from her. Who destroyed a womans life and took away the only reason she very obviously had left to try and stay clean and healthy and alive. Good for David for potentially killing his former wife.
But it's fine. He now has full custody and terminated his wife....
's parenting rights.
If,this were real they would give custody over to her simply because of the guy tricking her to use drugs by having the other man testimony.

You can't do that to someone that's in recovery it's very tempting to tell them they got them for free for someone who's an addict don't do that if they're clean and doing good don't tempt them don't put them around people that do it don't offer free. you're going to push them to relapse or potentially overdose. She was doing so good till dad wanted to test her and the guy was pushing her after she said no that's not okay if he woulda never did that she woulda been clean still.
Thank you! Somebody with a brain that I've been scrolling to find that gets it and can see through the fake shit. His actions could've caused 2 deaths and he's being called a hero in some comments. Yes drugs are indeed detrimental to your health and family but shouldn't let it make out the recoverer to be treated like a test knowing how addictive her drug of choice was as witnessed by the father in the beginning. He had no true love for her by doing that bs.
Rather like the other replier said, glad to see someones got common sense. It was definitely wrong for David to trick her after she had only recovered clean for 6 months. And if he hadn’t done that it’s more than possible his daughter wouldn’t have been in that situation.

I mean to be fair it's possible the mother could've been visited by some drug dealer who may trick her into the same thing which had nothing to do with David, but still. Someone's doing well for 6 months, you don't pull that trap on them any time soon. Especially when they may genuinely be trying but can't because their adiction is so strong. And yeah, it was insane for her to leave her kid in the car, which is exactly the point. Drug adictions make you insane. By playing with that I'd argue that David was partly responsible for this situation. I do feel bad for him though. Having a wife with drug abuse definitely effects the whole family, and he was probably just trying to see if she really was squeaky clean. But that was by no means the right way to go about solving it.

This could have happened without a setup and she could have left her in the car and nobody notified him she would have died. He did what he had to do to protect his child. I come from a family full of addicts and not once have they ever put anyone in danger for drugs and I've seen them struggle. Drugs or not she was not fit to be a mother

I couldn't believe that the mother was doing drugs & putting her family in danger. Drugs is a nasty habit, & it's costly as well. I was surprised when Louis showed up in a hoodie & a basketball cap, & tricked the mom into taking drugs. But the mom didn't know what was going on, & Louis was texting the husband of what was going on!! I'm glad she gotten busted for leaving her daughter in the car.

This isn't about the husband being an abusive control freak against his wife. He was trying to protect their daughter from the neglect of the mother. From what I understand, inland communities in Southern California can easily reach 95°F during the day in summer. In the short time that SUV was turned off and thus without the air conditioning system running, the temperature inside could have easily exceeded 110-120°F. Modern windows can turn cars into greenhouses, where temperatures can easily reach 80-90°F on a sunny day with an outside temperature as low as 50°F. Someone sometime did an experiment with a car in the heat of Death Valley, and the temperature inside the car reached far in excess of 200°F, hot enough to literally _cook_ a meal of eggs and cookies.

I don't think the husband did any better than the wife. The wife was genuinely trying to stay clean, but she was in rehab for only a few months, so she would of course take the drugs because she was still struggling. Addictions take years to overcome, not a few days or months. The husband should've just checked if she was going to her meetings and whatnot. Not defending the mom for doing that to her daughter but she was still vulnerable so I wouldve expected for her to take the drugs if I were the husband.
