Hey Oliur, I liked your point about often needing money to make passive income. Something else to consider is that passive income can require varying levels of ‘maintenance cost’. E.g. renting out a property requires time, effort and savings as you become a landlord. Whereas Tumblr themes and Skillshare courses are a one time cost with virtually zero maintenance cost down the line.

The Exel thing has amazed me every time I have heard it. It is a story of innovating on existing platforms. Someone changing their life and helping other people with expertise, passion and communication skills. Exel was probably a thing when her father turned up on his first day at work. 30 years past an 'early adopter' label she has thought of a new way of marketing and selling something companies have been buying in for generations and totally changing her chosen niche. Lots of people with knowledge of the internet would have still thought it was a silly idea or a passion project with too low a ceiling of growth. Nope.

However, I'm looking to do the drop shipping method. In your opinion, wouldn't that take a lot of the pain out of the process? And in such a case, would you recommend it then? Thanks.
Drop shipping is horrible. If you are sourcing from China it can take 2 months for the product to reach the customer. People end up cancelling the orders. But it’s up to you.
@@ranga. not necessarily true: you can choose products that provide shipping from the US to the US for example, and those shipping methods take 2-11 days to arrive, which is much better than the standard 1-2 months. just make sure you only add that shipping method to your store :)

Oliur, one great way of making money I found that takes no money to start, is marketing for other businesses on Google Maps. I find local businesses on Google Maps and tell them that I can rank them higher on Google Maps and bring them more customers for free. I can then charge them prices after them seeing that it works well.

Free code camp is pretty legit. It has a lot of courses and is free of course lol. I’ve started the html course myself
