    Some of this is applicable to my Niro HEV but I’d love to see a video specifically for regenerative braking and HEV cars. Thank you so much. You do such a good job explaining!

    I enjoy the auto mode and I select 1,2, or 3 when in heavy stop a go freeway traffic.

    Please do a video about what Highway drive assist and how does it differ to just lane assist and adaptive cruise control. I am waiting for that one. I have an elantra that has HDA but I want to get the new Sonata Trend 2024 which doesn't have it.

    Here it is everyone racing to the next red light - and I understand sometime we like to hope the next light is going to be green - but I can see it has gone to yellow why are you people acting like I'm an obstacle 😩😤 and becoming an obstacle to me when I have to wait for you to get rolling again. Again this is very well explained as I wondered; but had it well understood. Here is odd, the automatic Jetta when I was looking - its window sticker said "regenerative braking" so I asked the salesperson and he said it made no sense to him either but it apparently does take some energy off the slowing process and "it helps charge something".

    Es una gozada no tener que usar el freno de pedal de freno porque el coche al soltar el acelerador regenera energía eléctrica reduciendo el desgaste de pastilla. Thanks for your advices❤

    i'd love to see a video on NACS being built into KIA's cars and if there will be a NACS adaptor available at what price point from KIA.

    I went 4 years before needed brakes on my Niro hybrid. But it's hard to tell when the brake pedal is only regen braking or using actual brakes, but I know it does both.

    Thanks. I never use the Auto regen myself, it looks like there are many levels of auto regen as well.. Will max auto regen give the best range?

      Theoretically, yes. However, it will also be dependent on your driving conditions, and driver habits. You could recoup the most energy at the highest regen setting, but a heavy footer would deplete it and would not maximize range. Always make sure to combine eco driving habits like regenerative braking, eco driving mode, and steady acceleration inputs.

    At a certain point of decelerating, so if you’re using an aggressive level of regen, the brake lights should definitely be coming on. Like maybe anything more than level 1

    • @BrantfordKia
      @BrantfordKia  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes you are correct! The regen system is smart and will illuminate your brake lights, Even if you’re not pressing the brake pedal!

      @@BrantfordKia oh interesting. A different YT channel was driving a Tucson HEV and mentioned the brake light doesn’t turn on with regen. I found that pretty stupid, and surprised that would pass DOT/TC

    • @BrantfordKia
      @BrantfordKia  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@andrewsbbq on EV’s it certainly does, hybrids it is a different story, their regen braking force is not as strong, (ex a EV can regen to a complete stop).

    i don't think the regen braking works witha full battery.

    Want to save energy:
    1 plan your driving. Going left or right choose correct lane.
    2 keep your distance so you have margin to regen instead of slamming on the brakes. Also look past the vehicle in front of you so you know what is coming
    3 roundabout. Watch far in advance so you can glide into it without braking. It is better to regen 100-50 meters before it and try to find an opening. Then glide through like an F1 driver.
    This reduces the power transients and makes your wallet happy over a life time.
    Keep the shotgun, wait your canadians, keep your mittens in the glove box.
