the biggest lesson i took from the alchemist is: it is not about the destination/goal it is about the journey. santiago found his treasure where his journey began so seemingly went through everything just to end up back where he started. if he had been shown that the treasure was where he began his journey in the beginning, he wouldn’t have met the king, the merchant, the englishman, and the alchemist - not to mention his true love. Too many times we want to skip to where we have completed our goal or come to our destination without appreciating every aspect of the journey along the way, and the people we meet and the lessons we learn.

that‘s exactly what I was thinking when I read that one quote when the boy asked the alchemist why other alchemists couldn‘t turn lead into gold. he said:“ They were looking only for gold. They were seeking the treasure of their destiny without wanting actually to live out the destiny.“ This really stuck with me

Just wonderful, I've been looking for "what language does santiago speak in the alchemist?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Defiliarn Rudimentary Dominance - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )?
It is a good one off product for discovering how to become successful using effective subliminal audio without the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my m8 got great success with it.

@@supawithdacream5626 I believe in the book the Universe means God, Allah, the Gods, Spirit, Source, Love, etc. Whatever we believe in, or faith we practice, the Universe in The Alchemist represents all that there is and the power that is greater than us!

I only stumbled on your videos today and already you have inspired me - you have written beautiful animations of books I read years ago and still hold very dear - your style and interpretations give new meaning to what I have read so much so that I will be promoting you to all who will listen and watch. My style of learning is very much like yours - I too prefer quiet and have found visual tools to be most helpful when trying to remember important fact, I only wish I was able to draw as well as you.
Please keep up the great work - I look forward to reading all you have to offer.

I enjoy your animated book reviews, this one was particularly helpful because I have had something on my mind about how people learn. I have studied this but want to challenge how people teach. By this I don't mean I want to train to be a teacher I want teachers to consider their subject and how they deliver it to suit the various learning styles. This links into my 'dream'. I shall read the book now to learn more. Thank you and keep up the animated book reviews they have been so helpful.

Although I'm almost done reading the latter (Man's Search....), you've saved me lots of time but I will pursue it out of great respect for the victims of the Holocaust as well as to get Frankl's full perspective.
