    ABOUT JOHN COOGAN:
I am the co-founder of soylent.com and lucy.co, both of which were funded by Y Combinator (Summer 2012 and Winter 2018).
I've been an entrepreneur for the last decade across multiple companies. I've done a lot of work in Silicon Valley, so that's mostly what I talk about. I've raised over 10 rounds of venture capital totaling over $100m in funding.
I work mostly in tech-enabled consumer packaged goods, meaning I use software to make the best products possible and then deliver them to the widest possible audience. I'm a big fan of machine learning, python programming, and motion graphics.

Thanks John, can you also make a video to share your experience with YC, like why you decided to join in the first place, what you learned out of it, and why did you ended up doing YC again for the second time?

Hey John, I really want to thank you for your videos, I really appreciate the information you convey in them. From Venezuela, perhaps the most difficult country in the world to be an entrepreneur, I thank you for teaching me how to do things to succeed as an entrepreneur, thank you very much.

What is the best way to collaborate with people on TH-cam?

I am an employee at a startup. We’re pre product (eta 4 weeks launch). Thus, pre rev. pre pmf etc. We, like many groups in similar situations, need funding to operate. We are not able to bootstrap anymore, have applied/pitched to nearly 200 specific VC groups, angel groups and individuals, accelerators, cohorts, etc. I am losing my position and income in 2 weeks, hopefully temporarily. Beyond the obvious (getting a job somewhere else)… Any advice?
I’ve worked so hard for so long and have been applying elsewhere for months with no success. I graduated from a 10 uni in 2021 with degrees in Econ and Nat. Science and am at my wits end. I may very well need to accept a position as a cashier… This is a low time for me.
Also, this content seems helpful for companies or founders that have already seen a substantial level of success. But, thank you.

I was really looking forward to hearing about the titled subject manner but in the end save yourself the time as it's 1% of this video at best. #disapointed
