Perfect job! Clearly aexplained! Sorry but there is a mistake in the exercise with h^-1(x). You cannot put the third root as y can be negative. You have to take 2 cases (if y>=0, if y
'ten ppl who speak German speak at least one other language' why does that mean there are only ten ppl who speak German? if it said THE ten ppl that speak German... then that would mean only 10 ppl speak German but it doesn't say that. I don't understand how you can know from that statement that only ten ppl speak German.
ikr it should say 'the ten ppl that speak German speak at least one other language' because otherwise the statement is ambiguous. I hope it is more clear in the exam.
It’s just a way of wording it, it tells us 10 people speak German, and within those 10 people all of them speak atleast one other language, or in other words, none of the people that speak German ONLY speak German 😁🙏🏼
@Oliver 49 but it doesn't say all, it says ten people who speak german speak another language, so there could be 12 people who speak german but ten of them speak another language
i put the quadratic 2x^2-5x+2 in the quadratic equation and my solutions were 5.75 and 4.25 instead of 1/2 and 2 . .. . . im not quite sure what i did wrong/what i need to do instead of that since im not that good at factorising
@@TheGCSEMathsTutor it was actually hard, but better than paper 1. There was agai. Hard ratio questions, I also tan out time for the last question and there was a coordinate question which was almost impossible to solve- I really wanna 8😞
in the inequalities question you said that a length cannot be negative. But the length 0.5 isn't negative so I don't understand why that cannot be a value
If you substitute x=0.5 into the width of the rectangle you would get a negative length, x isn’t the length it’s just a value that you would need to sub in to find the actual length!
Great video but ive been wanting to say this for a long time.. would you mind making the intro a bit quieter like im only on 40% volume and it is loud as hell.
For the 1st question, how did you find out that 0 people speak german? the information given says, 10 people that speak german also speak another language but no where does it say that there's only 10 german speaking people in total. Will they give me such an unclear question in the exam?
I am also confused by this. Perhaps I am wrong but I thought any combination of numbers that add up to 6 could go in Spanish only or German only so how would you know how many people speak only spanish or german? I hope I don't get this kind of question in my exam :/
the side ur tryna find will always be a bc a is the subject of the formula in the equation, the other remaining sides can be labelled b or c it doesn’t matter
Idk if u will answer in 1 hour cuz the exam is in 1 hour but I still dont understand how you made the cos(a) the subject. I thought it was a²= b² +c².... cos(a) so a² has to be positive and oyher should be negative but in your calc. they were the opposite signs
At this point, with an hour to go, I would suggest you just learn the formula, in the first minute of the exam, write the formula down on your exam paper and then refer back to it if you need it 😁🙏🏼
I’m not sure.. there were definitely a few tricky question on paper 1 but I wouldn’t say it was incomparable, try to put paper 1 in the past now though and let’s see how paper 2 is 😁🙏🏼
For the first probability question, I don't understand how the statement '10 people who speak German speak at least one other language' means nobody speaks just German - it doesn't imply that there are 10 German speakers in total because it should say 'The 10 people who speak German speak at least one other language no?

Quick question I felt I didn’t do as great as I wanted on my maths paper today, I really want a grade 4 to get into college in September and still have 2 exams to go, let’s say I got a grade 2 or 3 on this paper, Or 1 but Thats unlikely, and I got 4s and 5s on both the other papers, would my overall be a 4, as the total mark I think is 157 marks for a grade 4 overall, and wondering if I can still achieve it, basically have I still got a chance to get a 4 despite me not knowing a few answers today, but did working out
If you're doing the foundation paper, then the highest you can get is a grade 5 I believe? You can definitely still get a pass but you need to make sure you're confident going into paper 2/3. As you say though, you're thinking of worst case scenario but writing down workings will bag you a mark or two here and there so not all is lost!
