Hi - Yes, good question. The 'estimate' is really that the information isn't exact. As an example, the 10 people with a foot length of 20 to 22 cm .... could all have a foot length of 20cm exactly. It could be the same for all the others; 3 people could have a foot length of 17.5cm exactly and so on. Because we're putting the information into 'class widths,' there's no guarantee that the foot lengths are spread evenly. Hope that helps and all best S
Hi - 22.46 it's when 'whatever you do to x' = 2. This is normally called the function of x. With this question the f(x) is 2 (this is the 'output' on the y axis). Draw a horizontal line across from 2 and it'll cross the curve at -0.4 and 2.4. I'm really sorry that I can't draw on the comments - it might be useful to talk to your teacher? Best S
Hi - the 75 is already squared (c squared from 19.10 on the video). Sorry if it's a little confusing .... I could have just worked out square root of 75 and then squared again. Best S
I'm somewhere in the middle in Math’s your explanation is so helpful and useful we need more lessons like this.
Thanks.
Well I’m here the morning before my exam 😂
All best with your test :-)
same lol
Got a mock tomorrow, thanks!
All best for your test :-)
got a mock tommorow this is super helpful
All the very best with your mock! :-)
went well, 4/7 things out of this video came up on the mock, thanks!!!@@3minutemaths
@@tommtb3479 That’s great and very glad to help :-)
Great explanation thank you!
Very welcome and glad to help - all best S :-)
Thx this is really helpful 😊😊
i’m watching this the night before lol😭
have to watch at 1.5 speed cus my mocks are literally in under an hour to go
secrew it 2x speed im running out of time
Lol - All best with your mocks :-)
Seems like u have time to write comments
Can you direct me, to a place where I can learn the functions for the graph and how they work please?
For question 2, why do you get a different answer when you use sine rule, would they still give you marks?
Isn't number 3 meant to be 4n-2
Hi - around 7.11, the 'zero term' is +2 so the nth term is 4n+2. Best S
16:43 it says estimate do we ignore that because if you were to estimate you would round 876 to 1 significant figure

@@3minutemaths thanks si
thank you!
This is great but why did you do pythagoras as
A^2=B^2+C^2 not A^2+B^2=C^2?
Hi - it's just the way I was taught ... your way is perfectly fine too. Best S
At 9:28 , why couldn't you do 108/3 = 31, then take away by 5? Which would be 31?
Hi ... sorry, you need to take the 5 away first .. and then divide by 3.
@@3minutemaths Thank you :) Sorry, I thought you had to follow the rule of BIDMAS.
I have an urgent question on the triangle question why is it a2 and not just a
I2._.saucy Luv Sorry I’m not sure which question you are referring to - can you give me a time stamp?
Simon Deacon 18:38
I2._.saucy Luv Hi - that’s using Pythagoras theorem. Here’s a video that might help: th-cam.com/video/Em7qarXumbs/w-d-xo.html. Best S
How many marks was question 4? :)
c squared is 75
hey Simon deacon very helpful video but I don't get 7b
Hi - glad the video helped. Around 23.01 draw the y = 2 line and see where the curve crosses. Best S
I don't get why question 7 is 2.4? Shouldn't it be 2.3?
Krishna Vadgama Hi - I made it 2.4. Best S
But why?
Hi - 22.46 it's when 'whatever you do to x' = 2. This is normally called the function of x. With this question the f(x) is 2 (this is the 'output' on the y axis). Draw a horizontal line across from 2 and it'll cross the curve at -0.4 and 2.4.

in question six why didnt you square the 75

Last minute revision for exams tomorrow 😟😟😟
All best with your test :-)
25 mine before my test
Hope it goes well! All best S :-)

All best with your test! :-)
