    It's really an eye opener. Some of those points were never taken into cognizant most of the times neither the understanding behind them were these vivid. Not ignoring the educative part of considering locations when going into fish farming. Thanks for the exposure sir.

    Good Morning, why is tilapia farming not common. isn't there a market for tilapia

      Hi Adedamola, Tilapia has a big market in Nigeria, BUT unlike Catfish farming, you cannot farm them in stagnant water. They won't survive! Tilapia needs oxygen from the water while catfish can breath from the air. Max stocking density of tilapia in stagnant pond is just 3 pieces per m2.
      Farming Tilapia in cages is highly recommended and profitable!

      ,@@WillyFleuren thank you for your insight. I reside in lekki area of lagos, and I have a modest area to start up in a small scale. I need to identify those who will want them.
      it seems to be a convenient for me as I reside in an urban environment.
