You have to treat the female with care! Don’t clean female broodstock with a dry towel. Doing so will take away all the slime. And it will most likely get infections. When you strip the eggs, strip again after 5 - 6 hours. Most likely you don’t get out all the eggs. And eggs that stay in the ovary and are ovulated starts getting rotten in the belly of the fish. It has to come out! Keep the water very clean and put salt 0.5% (5 kg per m3) in the water to increase the quality of the skin of the fish. After 2 days in isolation, you put the fish back into the broodstock pond with other fishes and feed them well.

“The quality of the pudding is in the eating”. Eggs are said to be good if they are fertilized well and hatch very well. But I believe you want to know that beforehand. Good eggs are stripped at the appropriate time not to early (resulting in dry eggs) and to late (resulting in watery eggs) . Good eggs have no aborted or white eggs inside and look dark green with big reddish nucleus on the side migrated. In the dry season, Catfish eggs are not as good as they are usually in the rainy season.

How many times! A week should broodstock be fed?
You should feed your broodstock 3 times a day, and give them what they can eat. Don’t underfeed your brood stock!!!
