I love homes that “are”. I am a designer, stager, artist, and collector. I have become who I “am” naturally. These home are and these folks show who they are naturally. It’s a pleasure to peek into their lives. Thank you for letting us see.
This is such an accurate artist home. Only an artist will understand the orderly mess, need to paint almost every object in the house, never being satisfied with it yet you still love it. This is a materialised glimpse into the soul of an artist
It's almost like being in a gallery where you can also sleep.myself being an artist often times I thought I would love to wake up every single day in a gallery. This is what she did.
I am only speaking for myself, but every corner of my house is furnished with unfinished projects and stacks of paper and I have a painting under every bed/couch because ya know, creative procrastination.
I am that way myself and now that I am getting toward the cremation situation, I need to do something so my children won't have to invite hoarders to my house to get rid of it all.
@@Heyu7her3why don’t you give away some of your items to family, kids and friends so you can see the joy you have given them???? Just stuff, We really don’t need it all! I had a bumper sticker that said….the one who dies with the most stuff WINS!
I like my space to feel calm and clean. I constantly fight my maximalist tendencies. Lol I love seeing homes reflect the homeowners; it's so interesting when people just do what they love and don't follow trends.
Dear HomeWorthy, I enjoy your home and artists videos, so interesting. The world is filled with wonderful and creative people. ARTIST'S ARE the most interesting, because their minds continually flow with excitement. And their minds never grow old. I am one of those people and I may come your way for viewing and show information for my own work. Must say all your people are wonderful and have a lot to offer the world. Thank you.
I absolutely love her home, its so me I love colors Wall etc. I absolutely love all her art, I have no more wall space for art. Because all the countries I've visited which have many I always made a point of buying a few pieces of art. This is one of my favorite house tours, absolutely wonderful. Thank U for sharing your home, thank you ❤.
How I wish I were one of her grandchildren, the perfect home to discover your passions! I hope when they grow up they learned and love their GrandMother❤️❤️.
Well Annie Sloans house is so wonderful. Full of colour, treasures and personality. Just listening to her fills my heart with joy. I would love to go and have a cup of tea around there. The stories she could tell. Her grandchildren must have a magical time with their wonderful granny❤
Definitely an artists house. It's lovely to hear someone say I love this, I love this, there is so much of people moving to a new house and replacing everything with the latest fashion this is wonderful and refreshing to see. I love this style but have got a bit cluttered of late, after watching this interesting lady no longer feel I should part with more stuff.
I watched this with absolute joy in my ❤️ 😊 i love Annie's style, use her paints to upcycle furniture, the greens she has used, i love, and the dark blue i plan on using her paints around my home when i decorate.
Wow, see, I thought something was wrong with me because I am indecisive, but Annie is too. She mentioned many times not knowing if she liked something or deciding if she was gonna change a color or re-work something. I do that all the time. I also have patches of paint here and there on my walls like she does in the garden room, trying to decide if I like the color or not. I'm always moving things around, replacing items too and selling stuff off also. I am forever annoying husband because I pick up seed pods and nests and wasp nests etc and after viewing this, know that for artists, it is normal, lol. I love seeing English homes. In America everyone is so caught up with having everything perfect and nothing can be damaged. In England they love worn out, damaged items and they don't just get rid of them like we do here, they accept the age and life that they had. This Annie video kinda makes me wanna cry, I feel kinda validated now, where before I felt wrong somehow. I would LOVE a lot more English and foreign homes.
Love all creative people the first home was mind blowing and what a wonderful lady full of stories , traveling .friends and children ,loved the New York Artist too, adorable couple with a multitude of talent with beautiful sunshine energy and love and then the passion of the young man finding his way through art ,Loved his china and passion for his home and paintings ..a great person to share a house with and overthinker I suspect like myself ! but if it leads us back to who we are meant to be ..then that is Great too ..every hero's journey .
My house has the same eclectic artsy vibe..a jewel box, full of personal treasures.A real talent for layering frames and objets d'art is evident throughout this charming home. Quite lovely. Thank you.😺
Annie, i absolutely love, love, love your home. I also love your style. Im quite the maximalist myself. I bought a table the other day, even though i have no place to put it. It would make a great painting table, as i paint myself. Thank you so much for sharing your home and your beautiful creativity.
Everything works in your space. Enjoyed the cursive /palmer which I was taught. Loved the fountain pens used in class . You surprise me as a very traditionalist yet outwardly not, complex yet very intuitive, nurturing. Your painted fireplace design says mom?… loved your presentation, kitties and unique taste! Thank you Scott😊!
The wooden sculpture in 7:20 is a Bulul/Bulol, very specific in the province of Ifugao in the Philippines. This is mainly used as a guardian to protect their rice fields and granaries, ensuring a bountiful harvest. Beyond this, it is also believed that it has roles during healing rituals. During these ceremonies, the healer uses the bulul as a vessel to absorb and remove illnesses from a person's body, effectively transferring the sickness to the carving. A very nice house, by the way. I wish I can use color as effectively as she does in making one's place look as pretty and interesting as that.
just love your house. thank you for showing...also love your art and art choices. I am now retired but used to be designer now paint and white books. and you are so right with your colour choices. so yummy!! christine
I prefer a studio separate from the rest of the house. These homes are so busy to me, where does the eye rest from visual 'thinking'? I'm exhausted by the predominance of sight as the necessary sense. Stillness is my muse. I could not visit these homes, they just feel 'cluttered'. However, takes courage to let cameras into the sanctuary of home, so kudos for that
Dodie Thayer is not the original creator of the lettuce or cabbage dishes. The original creator is the Portuguese ceramist Bordalo Pinheiro, who died in 1905.
These are all curated spaces with different aesthetics. But how one curates it is their own expression. None of these are my aesthetic, though Annie Sloan is closest. Empty spaces make me antsy. Cluttered does too. It’s a fine line curating a space to what makes a person feel comfortable - which is the purpose of a home.
Yup, for me this was not a successful video. None of the 3 homes appealed to me in any way. They were just a jumble of things thrown together. There were no aesthetics just a lot of random "stuff".
Love the mirror art…and the legos….great artists..I wish they had thought of what they were going to say before….too much bickering and now I need therapy
Well I think everyone has its own style… and that’s ok. It’s not my style but interesting how other people live 😅 Funny that she wants to change the green mirror and all I could see was lots of green like rhis 😂… don’t get it… for me too crowded… I love deco and I am very creative but love anyhow things quite organized and always want to live more simple - more less deco 🙃
I'm a painter and these homes are overwhelming to me. Too much color and too much stuff. My home is white walls and neutral decor with pops of color and interesting finds. No hate on them or their decor. I just don't want people to think artist equals maximalist. It doesn't. It's ok to keep the crazy on the canvas.
For me this was not a successful video. None of the 3 homes appealed to me in any way. They were just a jumble of things thrown together. There were no aesthetics just a lot of random "stuff". Honestly, in the first and the third video, the word hoarder came to mind.
Your poor little cat.😢 why don’t you take that pillow collar off that poor animal. And if you think it’s comfortable why don’t you wear it or where you go. These little animals don’t deserve that. Take it off your cat.
First video: can't see the pictures! She needs proper light on the art work by the staircase wall. House looks derelict with random bits sort of lying about or stuck on, any which way - like her godawful headboard! Place looks like it's never been dusted or cleaned and with mementos clumped together with zero taste or consideration. Sad.
I like her. You can tell her mind is very creative she is always thinking and her house is full of color.
Annie Sloan and her home are mesmerizing. ❤ nothing better than to hear artists discuss their homes and studios! Thank you
Please research politicians do not assume they are telling you the truth.
Love the eclecticism and not being afraid to put different things together.

Annie Sloan's parents are so fortunate to have travelled to Zimbabwe and bring back such a beautiful Zimbabwean sculpture.
Good design is not about a lot of stuff everywhere. Great design is less is more.
The Seattle home is fantastic!
Omg love Holly/Martinez I am so inspired. Your home is such a loving family environment!!
Enjoy this !
Annie Sloan is Great❤🎉. So much Color & knowledge compact in these rooms💐👌✨️
A true stuff person! Annie Sloan: Despite financial means beyond measure says "I might sell them". 😀

This is curated...
Never saw this one!

Full of useless clutter. As a minimalist I would die if I would have to live in one of these places.
Horrible environment.
Thank goodness we're all different!
Having so many legos on display and not letting your kid play with them....that's just cruel.
Why should our homes turn into art galleries?.. A home is just a home.
