Fun fact, the devs are so lazy that the baseball bat is actually an edited version of the baseball bat model made by Rufus14, they just edited the script to do less damage and no longer crush people's heads on max charge.
I find it odd that they'd tweak the damage to make things more difficult but they didn't fix the team killing.

Fun fact: The baseball bat tool the game gives you in 16:40 is straight up an uncredited freemodel made by someone called Rufus14. The model hurts other players because they didn't bother to modify the damage function it uses

People defending a predatory game design and saying it's good is just straight up insane, how can you do the same repetitive shit over and over again, all while being prompted to respawn because of an unfair mechanic that's literally implemented into the game and intended on taking advantage of the user?
Like the "weird strict" games don't respect the player or their time, they're designed to drain the most amount of money from the user as they can, and people can still be like "yass, this game is good let's have more of it on the platform!!", it's just wild.

I think another problem is youtubers only play what's popular to pay rent, so you'd have bigass youtubers like kreekcraft that just gas up whatever's the talk of the town and not providing actual criticism or reviewing the game. Examples like alone come to mind, quite literally made to be a kreek-trap. Though it definitely says a lot when their fast food games get at most a stream and a video or two while stuff like piggy and doors gets to be all he talks about for a few years each.

The fact that a "book 2" for this game is in the works makes me more scared of the different games that this game is going to ripoff next.

The funny thing is, The Game is trying to Have this 'Connected Story' with the Chapters like Piggy, But the Reason why Piggy works is Because:
A: The Game isn't a Cashgrab
B: You actually get invested in the Characters as they get fleshed out inbetween chapters

Yay, im so excited. Chapter 3 just completely abandon the "strict dad" motive. Despite how bad this game is, atleast chapter 1 and 2 was about your father figure. It felt more agonizing trying to complete this chapter than any other. The ending was so disappointing too. (I would rather cover myself in paper cuts in jump in pool of lemon juice then play this game again.)
Also, the boat sections rip off another Roblox game known as Far From Land.
Its because the developer's father left while they were making chapter 3 so they forgot what it's like to have a father figure

Honestly I only watched a few videos on this game and I immediately got flashbacks to those "The (job) experience" where it's just a bunch of meaningless tasks which gets repetitive and is unreplayable. I'm not a big fan of doors because I feel as if there isn't anything impressive after you played at least 10 rounds, but at least it's random with it's choice of monsters and rooms, so I'm still interested in the gameplay. I like the game style, it's unique and it reminds me of the old roblox games I played in 2013, but it feels a little too cartoony. Not much of a surprise when it's a cash grab. I still don't get how anyone enjoys this game or how anyone enjoyed it when it first released.

It slightly annoys me that the game says "It's below 1°C". The freezing point of water is 0°C, and while yeah, "Below 1" could mean below 0 as well, they still somehow fucked up something basic like the freezing point.

A game worth noticing is Rooms & Doors by CJ4,
On your first ever playthrough, the game forces you into solo play to learn about the game by yourself.
The game starts with a cutscene of you going to The Rooms in the middle of the sea, riding a boat.
After the cutscene, actual gameplay starts.
The game ends at A-1000 and is ACTUALLY hard to do, but theres charms to help you out that need to be obtained. Here are some examples:
Envy: hear dead players and has a chance to notify about entities.
Sloth: when hiding, stamina regenerates 5x faster and theres no damage punisent for hoding late.
Wrath: doubles stamina and connects it to HP, but you recieve +50% more damage.
These devs should never be allowed to cook ever again
the bats are STRAIGHT UP FROM TOOLBOX they just didnt knew how to disable team kill lol, they didnt even bothered to script a bat themselfs

It's funny how weird Strict dad is made by 2 people while far from land begin as a solo project and took 8 months to release. (not including me as a tester or other testers, which was like mid development and the other 2 or 3 devs helping with Modeling or helping Zack with the project) You can definitely do something with 2 people or a small party.

i was starting to get pissed off because you need to go upstairs and down the stairs at the furthest points of the map over and over again... and you also play "Hold 'E' Simulator" for about 20 minutes before the game actually begins
weird strict teacher is in my opinion the best version of weird strict dad because it gets right into the gameplay without needing to clean a bunch of trash around the map
21:04 You can't forget that in "Weird Strict Boss" they didn't even showed us where is a cup for water. Only chips they showed. (Maybe they changed or not, but dang they copy-paste every weird strict game. EVEN UI and GAMEPASSES are copied-pasted. Developer Products (like jumpscare everyone, invisible and stuff) are the same as different weird strict games. Of course, some of them maybe look different, but while playing some games it looked exactly the same.)
I'd like to see you review the new resident masscre update, i havent tried it by myself but it honestly looks awesome and glad the game is still being worked on because for god sake the weird strict is completely overshadowing the original game which is honestly sad

The issue with the " its a joke game" argument, is the fact that good joke games exist, which essentially invalidates the entire point, unless you say " its a joke game, they can make it however they want" which isnt what they said

Residence massacre just got a update, we got night 2 now, its difficult but fun, it has tons of new mechanics and has 3 monsters instead of just the usual 1.
I was trying to get Far From Land when The Mimic came to kill Those Who Remain, I was Ready 2 Die until my Weird Strict Dad threw The Mimic into The Butchery.

As a developer who has worked with Drooling Zombies in the past, Xenobus looks rather suspiciously like a reskinned drooling zombie.
I think that the devs havent added a desalination feature purely because the target audience is 8 year olds who have no idea what desalination is

Chapter 3 also had to be one of the most buggy things I have ever played, I walked into my friend one time and he flew out of the map, forcing us to restart. The same friend also tried fishing and the fishing rod made him jump into the water, which just made us give up
Not sure if they patched this out but, YOU COULD JUST PLAY SOLO WITHOUT EATING OR DRINKING, since you are always steering on the boat and it somehow didn't decrease your hunger and thirst, only what matters was the gasoline, which I only need 3 or 4 of them in my normal run

16:30 - It's also shameful to admit if you don't grab a baseball bat whilst you're there you just don't get one, like at all. I was using the bathroom during the prolonged cutscene -- There's ultimately NOTHING you can do if you don't claim it. Sure, it's unlikely; but still something significant that shouldn't be overlooked. I genuinely had to restart the entire thing, painfully, just so I could make sure I grabbed a bat.
12:47 also to be fair it would probably need to be day time if the desalination machine would want to work and that could take a little away from the "Scaryness" from the game but they can just add a rain catcher instead and sometimes there could be an event where it would rain and refill your water as well

I know a game that is made by a solo developer. Lethal company, and if i have to say a roblox game. Then i would say merc fleet, it is one of the best arcade shooters that i know of. The only requirement of entry is a sence of quick movement, you dont even need aiming skills as it has an aim assist because of how fast the game is.
Its really just sad to see a method like this is promoted and rewarded, i dont know if its due to anything algorithm related or not, but it just sucks to see
