I'm disappointed that Alone turned out to be a cash grab. It initially looked decent and had the foundations to be a solid Roblox horror game, so I was expecting the game to be expanded eventually. However, as time has gone on, the more I realised that my A-tier rating aged like milk.
I feel like a lot of horror games are just carried by the concept itself nowadays, anybody can promise a chapter 2 but it ultimately depends on what they deem commercially viable sadly :(
It's funny how the main villain of the game is barely mentioned or seen in the entirety of the story. At least with doors, figure and seek is a major part of the lore and is mostly seen throughout the game, but in Alone, he's seen for 5 minutes.

I got selected to test the game early. The reason the game was unplayable at launch was because the testers that were selected to test were not given the opportunity to. I've talked to my testing peers, and almost all of them who weren't super close with the developers, didn't get to test. They released the game KNOWING it was broken to capitalize off of the recognition of Kreekcraft and the success of Doors. Keep up the great content, thought I would just share some insider info though ;)
Also as soon as I posted this video I had multiple DMs from my dev friends telling me more things about the troubled development LOL. Crazy how information gets around i guess
kreekcraft fell off hard after piggy and is now just chasing roblox horror game trends and promoting mediocre games. After he played alone on stream he had the audacity to say it was really good and well made.

as someone who has played alone, the game was very buggy and seemed rushed for some stupid reason, probably because doors just came out and they saw profit in their eyes when making it. the monster was able to kill you in hiding spots, it killed me when i was across the map once, i only played it that one time because it was just that bad, it wasnt enjoyable in the lightest
What I don’t understand is DOORS is literally free and on ROBLOX too! There’s 0 reason to play this knockoff because both games are free and on ROBLOX. It’s absolutely baffling someone would rate this trash as A tier
If I had to guess it was children who can't wait for chapter 2 so they tried played alone. Also huge youtubers like kreekcraft and socksfor1 played it which attracted their fanbase to the game since it was a door's like game.
In all honesty, I’d kill for a video explaining all the problems with intrusion I remember playing it and being genuinely intrigued by the intro gameplay. When I tell you my smile FADED when it switched to a doors copy, I mean it 😭. I did not finish that game, and I am NOT going through that long ass intro again after every death, I refuse too. Doors was INSPIRED by Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion. They have the same format--go through doors, encounter monsters, but besides that they are completely different. Doors was even more inspired by Rooms, which was more inspired by Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion. The word ripoff tells itself--you were ripped off your time. Doors is actually fun, and worth some time to play.

It has ZERO replayability or any kind of fun mechanics. And aside from the cool appearance this game is empty, and it hurts me to hear that someone is 60k dollars in debt because of it.
I first played this game a few days ago- immediately joined thinking “wow, blatant doors ripoff” and left with my experience being worse than my expectations
i remember playing alone with my friends and it was the type of game that had awful controller support which didnt allow you to do some actions on keyboard if you have a controller connected to your PC. In general the game was very buggy and outright scummy, like when I entered the basement for the first time and got oneshotted out of a corner and greeted with a 100 robux revive prompt. It's just a cashgrab, like most recent Roblox "horror" games

What makes Doors a great horror game is the feeling that you're alone with these creatures and the incredible scripting done by LSPLASH makes it a game that tests your fear, I remember when I was actually scared of the enemies in the game screech forces you to pay attention ambush and rush require your quick action figure requires your patience seek is uh probably the least scariest part of the game but the sounds of his footsteps getting louder always makes me nervous ALONE is a shameless ripoff but at least it's not a horrible rip off like Enchanted Portals was to Cuphead
I cannot completely recall any of the Alone game, so I am going to summarize my experience based on what I can think of. Alone: - The chocolate animation and sound was the chocolate of all time - I saw one monster The maze part? I could not navigate, I don't know why not, other than what the hell is this game. That's about as memorable as the game will get, alright back to recess.
Playing it for the first time the lobby did not give me high hopes, and playing the actual game, I saw it was very unoriginal. I tried to stay positive, but one unnecessary death later, I was just done with it. Everything about it just seemed like a camping game with a doors styled coat of paint.
I knew this shit was bad before i finished it with my friends. We spent a total of 10+ minutes wandering around in the maze where you have to pick up the phone. Terrible ending too lol. Happy to see others are willing to die on this hill equally as I do

Regarding the "derivative" aspect: Doors is actually a derivative of an older and less detailed game called Rooms (made by nicorocks5555, who's also made pretty decent simple horror games). However, Doors actually executes this rather well since it differs enough from the OG to be treated as its own thing. Alone...doesn't really have that.
Doors also has a semi-secret easter egg where you can actually play Rooms in Doors. Same level designs, entities and all. If you use a skeleton key and two lockpicks in the secret wall passage in room 62 (I think) you can get to it.
Fun fact: even doors when it first came out, it was a ripoff of another game named rooms made by nicorocks5555, but it actually TRIED to make it look good and it paid off, LSplash (creators of doors) did credit nicorocks and even put rooms into the game as an easter egg, so what LSplash did is that they saw this game, they decide to get some inspiration from it and remaster it and also credit the original creator, but the atention span of humans is so bad to the point where even a godlfish is more patient than us, so if a roblox developer tries the exact same thing, they will literally have a game like ALONE, bland, not scary, a ripoff, and only made to attract kids and make money off of it, its ashame, it really is
Doors made it out cause they made it fair and put actual effort to do,plus they credited the orginials thats plus respect, with the game pressure right now they did the same thing but gave more creativity to it and has different theme than doors so both can get away with stealing but alone doesnt even have effort at all except trying to get cash thinking its as easy as squeezing a lemon but instead they got a debt to pay instead
Yeah, in doors you could see other different monsters like Screech, Figure and Seek (and the others), while the the monsters you would say "thats from rooms" are only ambush and rush, while alone is just garbage
I really, REALLY tried to be optimistic about the game as I was following it's development on social media for a while and while the style looked similar to doors I was really hoping for it to just be a coincidence. The teasers they gave weren't really that good but I was assuming it was the devs trying to be ambiguous about what the game would actually be about. And on release day we found out why they hid actual gameplay from everyone. Devs knew what they were doing LOL
Why does adding pants to a spooky monster degrade its spookiness? Not that the alone entity is scary but, it has pants, and that instantly makes me want to laugh at it. There's a similar case with a SCP game called Prison Anomalies: Site 76, most of everyone probably knows it from Albert. But anyway, 096 in it has these brown shorts, more like underwear even, and it looks kind of silly, and 173 looks like an elite droid trooper or whatever its called from clone wars lol.
I'd say because creating a monster that's supposed to look like it's from a different world than ours or look incomprehensible and then giving it a very human feature like clothes kinda just.. doesn't make any logical sense and defeats the point of it
Honestly, when Alone came out, me and my friend played it. I don't remember too much, because I only played a round or two. But what I DO remember was that there was some monster in a basement that was buggy asf. Literally glitching out every second, getting stuck, shit like that. I eventually died, then decided to stop playing. They most likely fixed that by now, but I don't care. Never playing game that again
I played this game a few weeks ago ironically with my friend, and he and I got trapped in a vent because a monster started chasing us and when we tried to do the only thing that could keep us safe, it cost us the run. We also just didn’t wanna run the game because we did a second run and beat it in like 5 minutes
The Aztec uses chocolate as an energy drink for its warriors but that's a very pure coco we're talking about and the ingame chocolate bar is probably a milk chocolate that offers no better benefits than giving you a toothache or stomachache
It's a genuine shame cause I was unironically hyped to play the game, it was teased/promoted pretty well and built up hype reasonably well. Then playing it was being on the most boring acid trip of my life. I didn't even finish playing it I got that bored
ill add on that when the game was in development, they made a deal with a discord server i owned where wed advertise the game to our members and they would add a code in the game that wouldve been like "joindoorscord" (our server). BUT THEY NEVER DID in fact they deleted our server invite from THEIR server we were also promised early access as testers which we also never got.

i've played this game once and was immediately reminded of Doors while playing, the game gave no clues to the first goal and my teammates and I all died in a couple of minutes.
me and some other guy played the first chapter theres a segment in the game where you had to bring boxes from a truck to ur house and it took 10 years to get through. theres no issue with this, but the main problem is that the parts where you run away from the monster or whatever have absolutely NO guide and you dont know what youre doing until you die and have to replay that box part over and over and over, and it was SO annoying. we agreed to never play chapter 2 since chapter 1 was such a slog to get through edit: SORRY!! this was actually intrusion. dont play that game its shit
Fun Fact about Intrusion: It was originally made by someone else but they ended up selling the game to a group called Neon Plays and they then sold it for $500 people that own it now. The first chapter was actually pretty nice and it sucks that it was turned into a doors clone.
Im a little curious to see how you would feel about Decaying Winter, its a wave based survival game that has you go out to loot and come vack to fight off waves of enemies for 10 in game nights. As a fellow niche roblox game enjoyer i want to see the opinion of another niche roblox game enjoyer on one of my personal favorites (although some fair warning if you do check it out, the community does have some toxic people and the game is somewhat top heavy with its mechanics, which can also be difficult for new players to learn)

Also there's a bunch of crappy enemies like hidden which oneshoots you if you don't HEAR him. And women with a lot of health that you can encounter at round 1 without any knowledge and get destroyed Not to mention melee combat and parrying is in fact tryharding. And also,a lot of assets are stolen and not credited,even music. Same goes for AA.
intrusion is only bad bc of it being sold, the original dev (disquit) wasn't making it with the intention of being p2w or a doors clone and was planning on revamping it, it unfortunately didn't gain much money then (since disquit isn't a jerk who wanted to just profit off of doors and didn't ever think of a sprinting or infinite hunger gamepass and only relied on revive and donations) and since disquit was doing roblox as job rather than a passion project so he sold it for money, he also shut down development on his other games "facility" and "universal guardians" which are really well made but didn't gain much traction. He also released a game called "misfortune" which was a dungeon crawler but it was not only shut down but also privated, in reality as much as i didn't like him selling the game the dude lost a lot of time and money on these games so i can't blame him
There's been a lot of capitalism and plain carbon copies of other successful games outside Roblox, so I'm not that surprised to see one doing so on their own website
I tried to play this with my friends a little while back, and it was unplayable. We tried three different times and every time, the monster would spawn directly on top of one of us and the rest would be left fumbling in the dark because it wasn't a shared inventory and we always seemed to be missing something

Idk if this is a lot to ask, but could you talk about old Roblox games that may have died down that we’re top of the line and still are today? For example, I recently got back into Hexaria, and I was shocked to see that even though the game has an average player base of 50-70 players, they still often update their game, they even released their biggest not too long ago, which says a lot about the devs. Overall, I think Hexaria is a game which I can argue as one of, if not the best turn based games on roblox, thanks! Also yeah alone kinda sucked since day one, looked good at first, but after all the playthroughs of it, it just looks like a blatant rip-off of doors, so uhh good job dropping the ball devs! 🎉🎉

Playing it for the first time the lobby did not give me high hopes, and playing the actual game, I saw it was very unoriginal. I tried to stay positive, but one unnecessary death later, I was just done with it. Everything about it just seemed like a camping game with a doors styled coat of paint.
I knew this shit was bad before i finished it with my friends.
We spent a total of 10+ minutes wandering around in the maze where you have to pick up the phone.
Terrible ending too lol. Happy to see others are willing to die on this hill equally as I do

Regarding the "derivative" aspect: Doors is actually a derivative of an older and less detailed game called Rooms (made by nicorocks5555, who's also made pretty decent simple horror games). However, Doors actually executes this rather well since it differs enough from the OG to be treated as its own thing. Alone...doesn't really have that.
Doors also has a semi-secret easter egg where you can actually play Rooms in Doors. Same level designs, entities and all. If you use a skeleton key and two lockpicks in the secret wall passage in room 62 (I think) you can get to it.

Fun fact: even doors when it first came out, it was a ripoff of another game named rooms made by nicorocks5555, but it actually TRIED to make it look good and it paid off, LSplash (creators of doors) did credit nicorocks and even put rooms into the game as an easter egg, so what LSplash did is that they saw this game, they decide to get some inspiration from it and remaster it and also credit the original creator, but the atention span of humans is so bad to the point where even a godlfish is more patient than us, so if a roblox developer tries the exact same thing, they will literally have a game like ALONE, bland, not scary, a ripoff, and only made to attract kids and make money off of it, its ashame, it really is

Doors made it out cause they made it fair and put actual effort to do,plus they credited the orginials thats plus respect, with the game pressure right now they did the same thing but gave more creativity to it and has different theme than doors so both can get away with stealing but alone doesnt even have effort at all except trying to get cash thinking its as easy as squeezing a lemon but instead they got a debt to pay instead
Yeah, in doors you could see other different monsters like Screech, Figure and Seek (and the others), while the the monsters you would say "thats from rooms" are only ambush and rush, while alone is just garbage
I really, REALLY tried to be optimistic about the game as I was following it's development on social media for a while and while the style looked similar to doors I was really hoping for it to just be a coincidence. The teasers they gave weren't really that good but I was assuming it was the devs trying to be ambiguous about what the game would actually be about. And on release day we found out why they hid actual gameplay from everyone. Devs knew what they were doing LOL
Why does adding pants to a spooky monster degrade its spookiness? Not that the alone entity is scary but, it has pants, and that instantly makes me want to laugh at it. There's a similar case with a SCP game called Prison Anomalies: Site 76, most of everyone probably knows it from Albert. But anyway, 096 in it has these brown shorts, more like underwear even, and it looks kind of silly, and 173 looks like an elite droid trooper or whatever its called from clone wars lol.
I'd say because creating a monster that's supposed to look like it's from a different world than ours or look incomprehensible and then giving it a very human feature like clothes kinda just.. doesn't make any logical sense and defeats the point of it

Honestly, when Alone came out, me and my friend played it. I don't remember too much, because I only played a round or two. But what I DO remember was that there was some monster in a basement that was buggy asf. Literally glitching out every second, getting stuck, shit like that. I eventually died, then decided to stop playing. They most likely fixed that by now, but I don't care. Never playing game that again

I played this game a few weeks ago ironically with my friend, and he and I got trapped in a vent because a monster started chasing us and when we tried to do the only thing that could keep us safe, it cost us the run. We also just didn’t wanna run the game because we did a second run and beat it in like 5 minutes
The Aztec uses chocolate as an energy drink for its warriors but that's a very pure coco we're talking about and the ingame chocolate bar is probably a milk chocolate that offers no better benefits than giving you a toothache or stomachache

It's a genuine shame cause I was unironically hyped to play the game, it was teased/promoted pretty well and built up hype reasonably well. Then playing it was being on the most boring acid trip of my life. I didn't even finish playing it I got that bored
ill add on that when the game was in development, they made a deal with a discord server i owned where wed advertise the game to our members and they would add a code in the game that wouldve been like "joindoorscord" (our server). BUT THEY NEVER DID in fact they deleted our server invite from THEIR server
we were also promised early access as testers which we also never got.

me and some other guy played the first chapter
theres a segment in the game where you had to bring boxes from a truck to ur house and it took 10 years to get through. theres no issue with this, but the main problem is that the parts where you run away from the monster or whatever have absolutely NO guide and you dont know what youre doing until you die and have to replay that box part over and over and over, and it was SO annoying. we agreed to never play chapter 2 since chapter 1 was such a slog to get through

Played it once and the game ended before I ever encountered the monster.
Fun Fact about Intrusion: It was originally made by someone else but they ended up selling the game to a group called Neon Plays and they then sold it for $500 people that own it now. The first chapter was actually pretty nice and it sucks that it was turned into a doors clone.

intrusion is only bad bc of it being sold, the original dev (disquit) wasn't making it with the intention of being p2w or a doors clone and was planning on revamping it, it unfortunately didn't gain much money then (since disquit isn't a jerk who wanted to just profit off of doors and didn't ever think of a sprinting or infinite hunger gamepass and only relied on revive and donations) and since disquit was doing roblox as job rather than a passion project so he sold it for money, he also shut down development on his other games "facility" and "universal guardians" which are really well made but didn't gain much traction. He also released a game called "misfortune" which was a dungeon crawler but it was not only shut down but also privated, in reality as much as i didn't like him selling the game the dude lost a lot of time and money on these games so i can't blame him

I like how pressure actually has a reference kind of like what doors did adding rooms to the game and pressure added a very rare chance of getting a reference to doors. They even added custom entities that were just from doors.
Idk if this is a lot to ask, but could you talk about old Roblox games that may have died down that we’re top of the line and still are today? For example, I recently got back into Hexaria, and I was shocked to see that even though the game has an average player base of 50-70 players, they still often update their game, they even released their biggest not too long ago, which says a lot about the devs. Overall, I think Hexaria is a game which I can argue as one of, if not the best turn based games on roblox, thanks!
