Her little cries at the start were absolutely heartbreaking. So glad you saved her. And now looking snug in her tiny onesies, she looks absolutely adorable - like a hairy little human baby (what a great solution to the scratching btw). All up, it’s cuteness overload! She’s beyond precious! ☺️♥️👍
It is a great idea. It’s somewhat similar to what my family did with my dog Bindi before she passed away a couple months ago at nearly 14 years old. She was an obsessive licker and she would often lick her front right paw till it got sore and infected. Whenever it did we would have to put vet-prescribed medication on it but she still wouldn’t stop licking and one time it even ended up with her getting a sore on her face. So rather than get “the cone of shame,” my mom bought a few pairs of baby socks at the store and used waterproof tape to keep the sock on her paw, so Bindi would lick the sock and not the paw.
@TCWRebelsResistanceWords I’m so very very sorry for your recent loss of Bindi. As the owner of a 14-month old Cavoodle named Bowie, I can’t even imagine how incredibly painful a time this must be for you (I dread that day). Please take some comfort in knowing that all animal lovers (particularly dog owners) collectively understand it & feel your pain.
Bowie occasionally also has moments where he’ll become a bit fixated on chewing his right paw, though it’s not quite obsessional (it started when he had to have a drip put in during a vet visit). As someone with a Behavioural Science (Psychology) degree I have typically relied on “positive reinforcement” distraction techniques, but I really like your idea with the sock & will definitely incorporate it if it ever becomes obsessional.

Stories like this, restore my faith in humanity, which is taking a real dive lately. I can’t understand for the life of me how people could be so cruel to animals, I don’t. They’re cruel to each other, but at least the other human could fight back. These are helpless animals most of the time babies like tulip. I’m crying at first with tears of sadness over the situation and then tears of joy and thank you Holly for that wonderful rescue! She seems so special and so precious♥️🤗🙏🏼

Probably, land owners assume they'll do damage to the environment, lumping them in w moles, gophers, coyotes, turtles, etc so they just shoot them. Unfortunate, but they just don't want to deal w humane solutions which takes more time.

Holley has a wonderful YT channel (Holley Muraco) and she posts regular videos of sweet little Tulip… those videos have become a part of my nightly relaxation routine before bed. I’m pretty sure that there’s nothing on earth cuter than a little beaver in a human baby’s onesie ❤❤❤ I encourage everyone to check it out, and support Holley by subscribing… I am certain that, like me, you’ll love following the story/progress of her rescue beavers - Tater, Turnip and, of course, precious Tulip 🌷
Tulip is absolutely gorgeous. Beavers are quite clever little animals. We had a beaver at the wildlife rehab where I volunteer. He had been stomped by teenage boys and was near death when we got him. We nursed him back to health,taught him how to swim. He spent the winter with us and got stronger and stronger. We released him near the river and we still see him occasionally. So, thank you for taking care of this sweet baby and welcoming her into your family. 🦝💚

Beavers are called "Nature's architects" for a reason! People need to understand that they really beautify an area. By following their instincts they give an area what it needs to be an even better habitat than it was originally. Thank you for saving this awesome architect! ⭐💖🙏

A shot of medicinal brandy will also keep her spirits up! Everybody laughed and criticized me when in an earlier video of Holly's when I suggested a life preserver for Tulip, but right here in this video Dr. Muraco said she didn't know how to swim! So there!!! Three cheers for Tulip continuing prayers for Tulip, Dr. Muraco and her family, Tater and Turnip!!! 🥰

Humans spend so much time on climate change when equal or more time needs to be spent on saving the planet’s wildlife. People are the animals.

Omg Tulip is so cute I started crying! 😭 I love beavers, it's such a joy to see them. Beavers sometimes dam up a stream on my property and it floods a bunch of the forest but whatever, they're just doing their thing! Very sweet and playful creatures.

I love you for caring for these injured and orphaned animals. I was a misfit child because my brother trapped muskrats, my father shot any animal he crossed paths with, and my mother didn't want pets. I love animals, and have PTSD from childhood memories. I started following my brother when I was around age 8, (he is 9 years older than me) and would release the animals he trapped. There are many people who have trauma from witnessing animal abuse as children. It is very sad and painful. I am so thankful for people like you that have the fortitude to face this reality and work to help.

I literally don't understand some humans, the duality of humanity is insane... I couldn't even imagine hurting a helpless animal, I don't even kill spiders in my house..... so glad little Tulip was one of the lucky ones that got to live, but my heart breaks for all the beautiful animals out there suffering at the hands of monsters 💔💔💔

The laws in Mississippi need to be changed where beavers are no longer considered "nuisance animals" that are allowed to be killed on site. They are smart and essential to the ecosystem.
