You should consider pulling up the lyrics when you react to these songs. Metal is more than noise. Slipknot tends to be the gateway to heavy metal. I think you'd actually enjoy the music even more with understood lyrics so you can understand the emotion behind the music.
Most metal comes with a message, and I think that's a lot of what's missed by people that don't take the time to really listen. I had Bloodywood playing when my mom came over a couple weeks ago and she couldn't stand it. Like... That's not even any sort of hardcore metal, lol. But she wouldn't take the time to find out what it's about. I'm thinking next time she comes over I might put on some death metal 😂

They're one of the few metal bands that consistently gets air play and people start branching from them. That's all I meant by that.
Sick stuff man, maybe check out Before I Forget. It's definitely a bit less heavy/dark, but keeps the slipknot energy. It was actually a song in Guitar Hero 3, where I heard it first. Loved it ever since! Great place to start for newer ears!
I liked the album before this more but it’s a banger regardless and the lyrics are very well written for this song if you go and read them. Also loved the mask for the album before this More too lol I guess “duality” is the best known song off the prior album. The video is badass as well
Listen son, you have the potential to have a very good reactionary vibe. We just need to get your gen Z brain to be able to see things on a deeper level. Before you react to ANY other metal song, have the lyrics printed out. Then maybe try to seek the deeper message the band is trying to convey. Metal is not a bunch of screaming, you have to figure out the art form for what it is. Also, no. No one makes faces at babies to make them cry. Especially not metalheads. We are among the nicest most accepting people on the planet and making a baby cry would be horrible. It’s cute that you think we would tho.
