I cut my door 1" off the bottom of the inside and used 1" thick fire brick ( easy clean out ) for the bottom, lightened it up a bit and retains heat just as much, IMO. Nice build you have there.
Nice build. I used to be a fan of oaklahoma joes thermometers the last 6 I've gotten all read different in the same environment. I now spend the extra for the teltru.
Hi im new here I love your work i world like to build one of these i have a question did you have plans or can you possibly provide maybe a measure drawing i would be willing to purchase them if at all possible i could just wing it but i would like to have the details right your video is great i thank you for sharing your experience
Depends on your chop saw. If your saws rpms are too high you have to stick with the abrasive disc's. I have a Wen chop saw and their metal blade works really well. Evolution puts out really good products as well. If your rpms are to high the metal blades will burn out after a couple of cuts.
Not to be a hater. But this is a straight up copy of someone alott more well known. And for a welding channel... what's with the welds.. I get you are american but did the person in the video ever do a class on welding. Eg laying full welds in one spot. Dragging a gas weld.. like come on and at 5:13 yea I get it if ya can't well ya grind but I can see about 20 holes and that's on the video not in person. Talk about amateur hour.
Awesome build! Wow! Enjoy your masterpiece! 😊

I agree with you, I will try out the teltru's. The Oklahoma Joe's were convenient just to run into Lowes and pick them up.
Enjoyed eatxhing the build. I wish there was someone around here that could teach me how to Weld. I'd go to school if someone offered a night class.
What was the materials cost for the build?
Have you cooked any thing else on your cooker other than the pork belly which is awesome? Great build video spec dimensions would be nice to have
Nice!
Yes baby
How many inches did you cut for the front portion for the LID Or Lip
Damn good looking rig.

Does anyone know how imprtant it is to insulate the bottom of these type of smokers?

What would you recommend for the best chop saw blades.

Do a search for heavy-duty magnetic v-pads.
