I loved watching this. There’s too much animosity in baseball these days and seeing you give love to guys you recognize as great hitters is the way it should be.
It’s amazing to have this list and then also knowing guys like Yourself , Ohtani, Vladdy, Yordan, Judge, Betts, Harper aren’t on it , baseball is in good hands
Just because we have some good players doesn’t mean we’re in good hands. We are absolutely not in good hands. But yes, the talent in baseball right now is elite.
I would have to agree with Juan Soto at #1. The moment that did it for me was his 2-strike homer off Verlander in game 6 of the World Series. Took a pitch that was 100mph, painted on the high inside corner, a solid 430ft to the 2nd deck in right field at Minute Maid. Not one at bat in baseball history impressed me more than that one
Hi Alex, you are my favorite player in the league right now. You have inspired me to play as hard as I can every game. I just wanted to say thank you. I also love to watch shohei hit.
🔥 top 5 and great explanations dude. My top 5: 1.) Jose Altuve 2.) Alex Bregman 3.) Mike Trout 4.) Derek Jeter 5.) Bryce Harper Great content Bregs, you’re the man!
Did you see the Mike Trout video where guys were giving him all kinds of crazy tips cause they didn’t know it was Trout. So funny. Almost to 200,000 subs Breg, let’s goooo!
Thanks for the cool video Alex! Here’s my personal list for todays game. 1.) Mike Trout 2.) Mookie Betts 3.) Juan Soto 4.) Jose Altuve 5.) Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
@Matt Glass betts is still not better than soto. Sotos offensive contributions are so ahead of everyone elses that the defensive upside from betts doesnt make up for it. When you get a giy that gets on base 50% of the time, automatically that raises the winning probability of the team. Is like Ohtani when trout was in the lineup. Imagine ohtani trout and soto on the same team. They would win 100+games almost every yeat
I like how you made it very clear that the lists are just your personal favorites to watch. I'd keep the same top two for my list, but then add in some of my personal favorites at 3,4,5. 1. Juan Soto 2. Mike Trout 3. Paul Goldschmidt 4. Vlad Guerrero jr. 5. Ketel Marte
Great list!! So many guy r next level hitting that It’s difficult for me to make a top 5 but my 3 favs batters to watch hit r, besides u of course, (no particular order) Altuve, Tatis jr, & Acuna jr
Good list. You are a good hitter too, but your upper body looks tense pre-pitch. Do you subscribe to the less tense, faster twitch response theory of hitting?
5. Freeman 4. Trout 3. Altuve 2. Bregman 1. Guerrero, V. I like all of these players because of work ethic. Not sucking up to Bregman, but I really enjoy watching his workouts and trying to be better everyday...love to show my son Breggy's vids so he can see how much work goes into being good. My #1 could be mixed in my top 3...I like.power hitters such as Guerrero! But, I love my Stros' hitters just as much!
I’m an Astros fan and I’m ngl you had a terrible season at the plate and these people saying that your a top 5 hitter are kissing your ass. I believe you can be a top 5 hitter.. MAKE IT HAPPEN THIS UPCOMING YEAR!
When they're healthy and playing to the level of their best seasons, I'll take three Angels -- Trout, Ohtani and Rendon. Add Soto and Tatis. An amazingly large and talented group to pick from in this era, including A.B.
Soto has 1. insanely good judgment at the plate and 2. Has freakishly ability to make contact with ball given his upward swing path. If he didn’t, he would not rank as high as he would get eaten up by high fast balls. Instead he stays off high fast balls as shown by his stats. Altuve has the best traditional swing. Insanely efficient bat path. Keeps hips square when front foot lands and doesn’t pull. How else can a 5’-6” guy dominate? Insanely good. Breg… love your swing. Very traditional IMHO. Right there with Altuve. I’m a Boston fan but loved watching you guys last year. I know this video is about batting, but I think Correa has the best arm. Love watching that guy throw.
1- Juan Soro - future GOAT 2- JD Martinez - elite approach, has an ability to drive the ball whereever it is thrown 3- Bryce Harper - been following him since 2009 with his home run derby in the trop so he has always been must see TV. 4- Breggy - battles at bats 5- Michael Conforto - one of my favorite swings in baseball
Can't really argue with this list, and seeing Soto tee off Chris Paddack feels really good. Soto has the best plate discipline as a young player that I've ever seen, and we can expect that he'll only get better.
I understand why he wasn't on your list but your boy Yordan has the most amazing swings. His hits look like missiles. I'm worried he might kill a pitcher someday. I'm encouraged that he is learning to go the other way. Lance Berkman figured how to adjust his stroke so, as a lefty hitter, he could pop flies into the Crawfords. If Yordan could learn to do that, he could be a 50-HR performer. Hope you stay healthy in 2022. If Carlos leaves, your bat will be needed.
this is personally my top 5 I definitely enjoy watching & impress me so much!! (you’re so much fun to watch too Alex!!) 1. Fernando Tatis Jr. 2. Jose Altuve 3. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 4. Brandon Crawford 5. J.P. Crawford
my top 5 1. Mike Trout 2. Joey Votto 3. Bryce Harper 4. Alex Bregman 5. Yordan Alvarez if Guerrero repeats his last year though he will be top 2 for sure
@@Littlepito145, look at the dudes career. hes been one of the best in baseball for a decade and a half, and is back to his relative prime. yeah its not over 1.000 OPS but he still rakes and knows how to hit

Right NOW its Tyler Oneill without a doubt. Dudes a beast and could potentially break the season HR record.

Agreed. One of the purest hitters I've ever seen

Soto over Altuve.
