It's obviously not trying to have the word play of say, SIAS, or the instrumental complexity of other albums. it's a fun but heartfelt carousel style do, fair if you don't like it but it feels like people often aren't open to the merits of music enough, and aren't happy to take it for what it is rather than how it compares to other music. Also feel like the first album is seen through rose tinted glasses, its great fun and I love it but it's not a masterpiece compared to other work by Alex.
