@justin - watching some old videos. I would be curious to hear if these did indeed prove out as super leo on your hunches! Maybe as you return to your gene 101 series you could come back to this with an update. Would be great to see.
Thanks for this Justin. Leopard is by far my favorite gene to work with. Although I still feel like it will be so hard to tell visually, to ID the super form since leopard combos even from the same clutch will always look so different. Which is one of the reasons why I like the leopard gene so much. I'll be looking forward to see you proving them out. Stunning animals as always
Steel City Constrictors The issue is the other genes and also the likelihood for bieng het pied. Het pied Leo combos look much different from non-het and to my knowledge only 1 super Leo has ever been made the rest are combos which makes it harder.
TheyGoWhootnnn I know of a bunch of different super Leo's out there. They were proven supers simply from breeding them for multiple years and getting nothing but leopards from them. Although I hope Justin is right and one day we will be able to tell visually. There are just so many variations of the same combo it will be tough to ID
Steel City Constrictors I didn't meant 1 in the world, only 1 super Leo isolated and it was also het pied which would look different from a simple super leo. There are more than a dozen super Leo combos if I'm not mistaken probobly more. I know just in has a good 6 or more super Combos. I'm getting antsy about seeing a super calico/sugar and think I may buy a pair just to prove it myself. Every gene so far has been proven to have a super, even spiders and woman even though they don't live. There's a super pin for sale right now and someone else produced/proved one out some years ago.
I know this is off topic but whats your thoughts on back heat on a baby ball python rack its a nightmare to get 6 inch heat tape or strips in the uk and i never worked with heat cable so i would appreciate you opinion if you don't mind thanks from jimi at valley royals in Wales
Did the leopard pop up in a collection or from the wild? The first possible leopards, the non super looked better. The super had some of the speckles in the upper side pattern.
Nice video but I think a retake on the filming should be petitioned! No Close Up of that Firefly leopard yellowbelly spotnose! ugh!!! I feel robbed hahahah. I can't wait to work with my current leopard butter as well as other leopard projects in the future.
Nice break down! Almost forgot about Leopard being a Super because the talk about the Super form and it reacting visually has gone out of interest imo, but you can definitely see a visual difference in these animals here if so! Very cool! Hopefully we will see more in the future that will help nail it down!
I have a bunch of leopard in my collection and have noticed that the super leopards are very dark and have a tighter pattern. I have a male that was from a leopard x leopard paring that I thought was just a really dark normal but after studying it for a while realized it was indeed leopard and super at that. He's actually the last snake I have in my collection that doesn't have some type of recessive gene just because he's so awesome looking, specially now that he's an adult, I'll probably pair him with one of my GHI mystic het clowns and see if I can further prove him out as a super.
Love Leopard and crazy part is I got 2 out of a clutch that wasn’t a Leopard Pairing supposed to not be anyway , it was Pastel Het Pied to a Pastel Pied male , I was thinking possibly the Pastel Pied male is possibly Leo but they said no , I’m so confused that they are most definitely Leo without a doubt in my mind anyway
You should make the first super sugar or calico Justin. They have to exist, not a single morph has proven not to have a super as of yet and there are super pins created by several people. It pisses me off when the doubt of of people who haven't tried are set in stone and people act like it's gospel. I'd also bet that it's possible to tell a super Leo from a regular for anyone who pays close enough attention.

Did you learn more about the super leopard? I would love to see a update of this topic. Thanks for sharing
Did you end up proving either of these out?

Nice video Justin! But leopards are known for their variation, so do you have any proven supers to confirm this?
just desert ghost leopard is outrageously beautiful. not mention all the rest
Agreed.

Thanks Justin. love watching all your videos. appreciate you taking the time to show and explain the things u do in your videos.
Just purchased my Lesser Leopard male this week. Stoked. Going to my Mojave girl next year. Just starting out so thanks for it all.

Weird question, but what is the intro song?😅😅
VERY interesting! Glad there is someone that has the ability to work this project sharing info! Thanks for sharing!
The Royal Ball Shack IKR I hate the way some of the bigger guys never share pics or anything.

Thank You so much for sharing all the info and eye candy in your videos.
Where can I purchase your animals ?
hi Justin, how do I tell apart a leopard and a crazy looking normal? what are the key features to look for?
Jimmy Zgmf any normal that looks anything like a Leo would likely be genetic itself.
My god it's scale pattern is beautiful~
Wow such amazing animals!!
What happened with this project? Have you get more info on this?
We don't think the super leopards are distinguishable from leopards visually, although they do exist genetically. :)
