Indeed. Honestly I am growing tired of these channels where they do stupid things just to be funny.
My biggest gripe about obnoxious TH-camrs is a two-pronged complaint. Those people that scream into their microphones, as well as the people that stick their microphone really close to their mouth and then say stuff. I'm so glad that Harry never does that dumb shit

2:45 I’ll give the developers some huge kudos here, that type of fire helmet is 100% accurate to what the LAFD uses.
They had to get some details close to realistic some not all

I’d rather buy a finished game than DLC to finish a game
Some might noticed this but at 3:54 there's missile being fired at our plane, the soldier inside the plane said Code ZULU. Code ZULU in this game is a contingency plan that is every plane that announced code zulu will be shot whatever/whoever inside the plane to make sure the virus didn't get out of LA (This is my analysis from that only cutscenes)
Info: The missile might be from an Automated/Remote Control Anti Air missile Battery like the NASAMS or the Surface-To-Air Missile (SAM) because of the backblast and the smoke trail, and like the document harry mentioned the military already being told to prepared for every scenario
1st clue : At 3:56 there's already zombies around if it was a manpad or stinger the soldier who was supposed to shoot the plane already being dead. Don't forget where our rapper Sam B showed up, he was at ground level/at the side of mountain or probably at a hill
2nd clue : at 3:57 the fire trail it might be the Tail section fall off from the missile after that the fuselage of the plane started to burnt because of fuel, and we could see the plane started burning from the back then to the wings. you could kinda see it through the fire around 4:01 - 4:04

That was really fast was some private told to aim a stinger launcher at the plane as a just in case
From the smoke of the missile launcher i think it is a automated remote controlled missile launcher that has been placed at certain strategic location, like the document harry mentioned that the military is ready to quarantine LA, so i wont be surprised if the military already placed some AA Launchers
If you look close enough, you can actually see the rocket bounce off of the plane’s lower hull. Or atleast a piece of it.
I think that's the tail section because after the missile hit the plane, the plane started to burn from the back part at 3:56 then the hull and finally the wings
Would have been really cool if each slayer had a different story, which would happen simultaneously, while the player can choose only one character for the playthrough. Each character would get out of LA in a different way and with different villains
This is such a great idea but if they had went with it, the game wld prob be set back by a few years. Would love to see this happen tho

@@pumpkingpie2938 its to much, maybe in the future they do something like Riptide with the rest of the slayers in the base unless working as a team.
They've already confirmed 2 DLC's that add 2 new chapters to the game so with that, I have a feeling DLC 1 will be us locating and finding Tisha in order to stop the Autophage and DLC 2 will involve us fighting against Lola Konradt and her team as they'll try to stop us from stopping the Autophage since she wants to control the Numen.
And theres also the underground biomass. The game hints that its a sentient being.

The biomass makes me think of the plot of I am a Hero. Where the zombies goal is to unite into a giant flesh blob and exist in harmony. And certain people who always were antisocial outcasts dont become zombies but get virus superpowers.
I was thinking of Halo’s Flood with the biomass.. then again, I ain’t sure if they got a Gravemind system for the normies unlike the Numens which kind of do
So Haphephobia yeah probably spelt that wrong but it’s like all physical contact is like intense pain when I looked up phobia of physical contact I got fear of sex 😒 (oh I don’t got haphephobia would like people to keep their distance but wouldn’t shut down if I accidentally bumped into someone sounds like a nightmare to live with that phobia)
Dani and Jacob must be my favourite characters in Dead Island 2, they are way too awesome but Sam B is the G.OA.T and always will be.

After what happened to Ryder White at the end of the first game. I was terrified that I'd have to fight a mutated Sam B as the real final boss. So glad that didn't happen.
I agree but also riptide might not be canon since Sam b is alive bc at the end of riptide u think everyone is dead if Sam b is alive then where is everyone from the first game and bc he says in the game this has happened twice and the government covered it up
@@lordsevitt9830 Riptide did happen, one of the theories of thw Riptide ending is that our main 5 characters did survive but the gas that was mutating the virus caused them to go berserk and kill the other survivors on the boat. I think Sam has some dialog talking about the other survivors, I know he at least mentions John and Logan.
@@rafabuda0he did have dialogue, he and the black chic “quit talking after what happened on the boat” as Sam said it. So you might actually be right about them rampaging the survivors on the boat… and given our original survivors have fury which is canon, it would make sense.
I rarely appreciate graphics and more of the gameplay, but damn, that's one heck of a beautiful game I've even witnessed in this decade.
Surviving the Banoi outbreak somehow made Sam B about 15 years younger.🤣

This game is weird, it seems to act a bit quirky like the newest Saints Row, but also for lore-wise it seems to throw big ideas and plot elements about then never actually go into them. At least in the original you had a pretty concise story as to why and what is going on
in our honest opinion the game feels out of place of dead island & riptide.
The reason for the tonal change comes from the fact the characters are written and designed almost like GTAV ones
-that being a parody of LA Americana and its many cultural points being made fun of or exaggerated by the writing in this and the personality of the characters compared to the characters of the first two games which are much more serious yet stylized and are written in a much darker humor of the late 2000s American gothic approach akin to that of the first left4dead juxtaposed to this one. Lets also aknowledge that the game had been passed around to 3 different developers and been off and on development for many years so it probably had a harder time becoming cohesive the longer the development cycle ran.

@well oops Thank you for adding that context. I remember playing the first game and this one (which I haven't played) seems to me to be some sort of Parasite Eve meets Zombie Apocalypse kinda thing.

Its well structured. And characters develop. Like Emma and Michael seem like charicatures at first, but mature as the story progresses.

This game was amazing gameplay and story wise, but it was way too SHORT. The lore in this game alone is way too complex the journals entries are not even enough to cover the full scope of the outbreak. I totally get we have DLCs coming in the future but the base game should have expanded a lot more on the seismic quakes, the autophage, and the neuman. Lola mentions how there is something BIGGER out there, that it’s SPEAKING to her. Which leads me to believe the autophage is connected to some sort of HIVE MIND or it could be that biomass below that’s developed into something more? So many questions, so many theories that should have at least been explained more in the base game. Not to say I didn’t enjoy the game because I loved every fucking minute of it. But it was so short. Really hoping the DLCs are longer and expand more on the lore because the developers have done a great job so far I’m not disappointed.

I agree, dying light 2 is also very disappointing.
I beat this game last night, was such a fun time, challenging especially since i used my fists most the time (Fun Fact: Your characters fists damage scales with your level)
I like the idea that’s it’s not the virus that turns you into a creature, but instead the virus is simply a vector to speed up the process that was already destined to turn you and everyone into a creature ahead of schedule.
I honestly at this point can’t see how this series is gonna go WITHOUT involving some sort of alien super civilization or ancient long gone super civilization/race native to earth before humans rose up. Because, like, what other explaination could there possibly be for this plot point other then the idea that humans didn’t necessarily evolve but were made for a purpose by something?

Compared to the first game and the troubles this game had... It turned out pretty good. While I've yet to play the game, it's still a better story then the first one AND it looks FUN, the most important bit and it makes sense to the player. I like it!

Man, That was fast. I thought My normal zombie apocalypse with immunity and rage story(Dead island and riptide) turned out to be a Mythical Greek God zombie apocalypse thingy or lovecraftian Horror(Dead island 2). A Mega twist I never expected😂

In our honest Upon watching this video We're surprised that the bio mass didn't play a big role in the game since the game hype it up beginning the big bad but it didn't.
They tend to do that alot in the game. Introduce things that could make story good only to ignore it rest of the game and pretend it didn’t happen.

I recently beat it and am on my second playthrough to get the other ending and I think it would be fun for you to cover!
A DLC on finding the Dr.’s daughter would be ideal, kinda like the overtime mode in Dead Rising :)
It should be obvious saving Tisha will be a mayor plot point. As well as dealing with the numen. And there is also the underground biomass the game hints at being sentient.

Loved this game its one that inforces the idea of making your own weapons, getting the high ground, scrounging resources, and the body gore/physics of losing limbs

So, does sam just have a really high resistance to the autophage with it eventually catching up to him?
Sam B was on the road to becoming a Numen but couldn't pass through one of the many "gates" along the way. Dr Reed says only one in a million becomes Numen. More may start out on that path, but not everyone will make it to the end.

If you look at most of the characters, you can tell they were written in by a millennial with a checklist to fill.
At least the previous games features varied characters and types, but this game gives you a gigolo, a semi disabled Asian, a typical black dude with the dreads, another Asian and so on.
They look like the most uninspired characters I have ever seen in a zombie game. I've seen side characters in Resident Evil Outbreak with more nuance than this game's characters.

So they knew they couldn't compete with dying light in terms of Gameplay, without just becoming Dying Light Version 2.0, so instead they focused on the storyline, and honestly did a great job.

so with the Dying Light 2 reference of Sam B, is it safe to assume that these games take place in the same universe? I know basically nothing lines up but it could be made to make sense
They are two different games with two different zombies plus if it was connected the zombies in dead island 2 would become those Volatile at night so no not really it was just a fun easter egg to give fan service
Nah not connected but that will be cool. But zombie games always do Easter eggs for other zombie games. Like Left 4 Dead has Easter eggs for Dead rising.

I believe that 150k ticket plane is actually a bribe for Captain Winterburn to let Robert, Emma and Michael into the flight without screening for infection. You can see Robert give a soldier a brief case then let them through instantly at Bruno’s part in the intro.

From the sound of the player character's dialogue, sounds like you picked Carla for your play through. I would have picked Dani myself; then again, I admit to being a fan of UK accents, of all kinds, and the type of tattoos she's got all over her body. I'm not much one for "zombie apocalypse games" ("a dime a dozen" and "done to death" these days), but I love your voice and the concise nature of the lore scripts you write.
