I agree like your PART 2 video the Minichamps model just holds up so much better than a brand new resin model from gp gp replicas model who get the simplest basics incredibly so wrong 😂
Hi @zeis0699 that's great would love to see them! Would you get the 1991 Alesi 1:18 Ferrari? Am yet to see a '92 or '93 I may purchase them for my personal collection as the Minichamps '92 was never made and the '93 model is quite out dated with no driver figure! Agree the paintwork on the GP Replicas models are stunning that there is no doubt! along with incredible cockpit detail
@@zeus0699 unfact i may get the 91 92 and 93 ferraris now ! THE 91 being my favorite Ferrari now! Was previously the 92, the 90, the 98 the 00 then the 95! But swaying toward the 91 these daysA
Again one of my gorgeous formula one car the GOAT yet Minichamps model is better and its 30 years old well 1996! It was released. Yet gp replicas do nice paint but get everything incredibly inaccurate and so wrong !!!!
Agree, its a shame proportions are better on a Minichamps model from 28 years a go but didn't have the detail ability then for a mass-produced model. For me I love the detail Minichamps now do to their re-tool''d cars they did to the '94 Williams and Benetton's. I am happy to pay the extra price for these models. I do love the detail and the paint on the GP replicas, just a shame the proportions aren't always accurate. For me the 1994 Ferrari 412 T1 - the proportions by GP REPLICAS were not the best.
GP Replicas has a high level of detail, but often the proportions where a disaster... Best example for me is the Benetton B194, the rear wing is too short/small. The tyres and the Goodyear markings are also incorrect. Minichamps on the other Side has some has some problems with their decals, in their older modells... Its a shame that they release a lot of older Benetton from MSC eara again... 😕
GP Replicas models can be stunning but they can also be atrocious. It's clear that the company is more than happy to churn out models with appalling lack of accuracy. In my opinion none of the early 90s Ferraris (and many, many, more) are even close to accurate. Some of the errors are just beyond amateur , you can tell with even a cursory look at some pics that they're way off. It's such a sad waste too because these models obviously don't get made often and they had a real opportunity to create an incredible range of models.
Yeah agree alot! Its a shame you look at the 1997 and 1998 Ferraris they gave just released and it has a massive snow plough front wing that too far forward from the supports. It looks so odd! I am interested in the 1995 Canada 412 T2 with Jean Alesi figure.
@@ayrtonsenna1989luke Oh yeah the 97 310 looks terrible! I wanted a good one of those for so long but that nose is absolutely disgusting. I have the F93A and that is actually really good except for the rear wing being too tall which I can forgive. I would buy so many of their models if they didn't fuck them all up ha ha. What makes it worse is that they CAN make a cracker model. Their MP4-2 is absolutely flawless. It's bizarre to me that the same company that can make that incredibly accurate model can also approve all the others!
Ugh again. Minichamps everytime. Gp replicas are so inaccurate they are like toys but not to be played with! Atleast Burago are better in accuracy and proportions
Look at the soace between the inside of the rear wheels and the rear wing endplates on the GP Replicas. It is far too large and completely wrong. Wheelbase looks too long on GP Replicas in relation to wheel size too. The worst GP Replicas models ive seen are 1. 1985 Ferrari. 2. 1989 Ferrari. 3. 1994 Ferrari. 4. 1986 Lotus. 5. 1984 Lotus. 6. 1991 McLaren. They have made some nice looking, accurate models. The 1988 McLaren. 1986 McLaren. 1989 McLaren ( rear tyres are too wide though), 1993 Ferrari plus a few more.
I have the '89 Mclaren in 1/12 apart from the wheel proportions i would say it seems pretty bang on. I am collecting a Jean Alesi collection so I am open to the 91, 92 and 93 Ferraris for the right price. I like that GP REPLICAS did both versions of the 91 car!
@@ayrtonsenna1989luke the 91 Ferrari's seem pretty much spot on other than that the wheels/tyres are a touch too big/wide. The 93 Ferrari looks very accurate imo. Don't forget that from 93 onwards, they used new, narrower tyres
I'm surprised. I sold my Minichamps collection in the past mostly Senna models. I wasn't happy with the build quality. I was waiting for a more detailed like BBR models, i was hoping BBR was going to make 70-00 F1 models but that didn't happen. Even not old Ferrari F1 cars. I was surprised when i got my first models of GP Replicas this year. The lvl of details, interior paint and livery is amazing. I just had one Autoart Lotus of Ayrton Senna, 2 Exoto Prost Ferrari and Williams of Mansell and 1 Ferrari Villeneuve of BBR. Meanwhile i have the Mclaren MP4/8, Williams FW13B, Williams FW19, Ferrari F310 and Lotus 97T. I have a pre order for the Williams FW16. I'm thinking to sell the F310B for a 412 T2 . I love the 412 T2.
Nice I used to have the 1990 Ferrari Mansell Exoto model and 1980 Renault Arnoux 1/18 models 15 odd years a go. Nice models. I may get for my own collection the 91-93 GP replicas diecast to complete my Jean Alesi collection. I find the 93 Ferrari from Minichamps are tired, old, damaged decals or too expensive may as well get a GP replicas. For me I just think Minichamps did such a good job in 1995 with the 412 T2 I think it was their best car at the time - other 1995 cars from them were not as good for sure. I think of course it doesn't have the detail of a GP Replicas today that's where it gets beaten obviously but the charm of the Minichamps diecast and correct proprotions along with a full Marlboro conversion really completes the Minichamps diecast. I will do a decal conversion to the Minichamps 412 T2 tonight maybe to compare
@@ayrtonsenna1989luke i was hoping that Exoto was going to bring out the MP 4/6. It was in development. But it never came out on the market. At the time when I bought the 641 Ferrari and FW 14 from Exoto I was certain to never buy Minichamps again. Then GP Replicas came to the market unfortunately the models are quite expensive and new models following up quickly and limited edition. So it's sold out quickly. Definitely for popular drivers. So I don't have every model I want. Early/mid 90's had the prettiest cars.

Spark or Minichamps over Gp replicas. They get the easiest and simpliest proportions so very wrong yet charge the most money. They have no shame

Goodyear tyre markings are too big on the GP Replicas model too! Minichamps proportions with GP Replicas detail would be the ultimate combo
