Agreed! I think him and Cillian Murphy are the g.o.a.t. when it comes to acting with their eyes and transmitting emotions! Their micro expressions are EVERYTHING !!!!
Jonathan Bailey made me feel everything his character was feeling. What an incredible actor he is. And Simone Ashley is a goddess who can convey so much with just her eyes. These two truly lived their characters and brought Kanthony to glorious life. Their expressiveness, presence, and chemistry made the season what it is in spite of the shoddy writing. I'm so glad they're coming back and hoping we get a decent plot for them.
How did she steal Anthony? She literally begged that man to marry her sister regardless of her feelings for him. It’s not her fault that man can’t control his face. And Edwina’s the one wanted the marriage with dude who told her he wasn’t in it for love off top.
"I am returning to India" "Baby you better return to Anthony's bed. You ain't returning to no place but Anthony's bed." lmaoooo that about sums up the amount laughs and joy your reactions have brought all the way through. Thanks for yet another great reaction.
I think the three/four finger thing with the smirk is so sexy but also just so….it’s so good to see him teasing her for a second, not having to be the serious person he’s been since his father died. Ohhh my babies 😭
During Kate and Edwina's dance together, Anthony smiles because he sees that Kate and Edwina have made up. And as someone who has siblings, Anthony knows how important that is. At the ball before they danced, Kate assured him that she's alright about their night together. I think Anthony thought Kate riding in the rain was because she regretted their night together.
@@ameliacraiig4193 Anthony was saying they should keep their distance, in light of... But in light of what? In light of their night together or in light of the botched wedding? It couldn't be in light of the botched wedding because they were seen together as a unit at the art gallery and they hosted a ball together after the botched wedding. So he had to be talking about in light of their night together and she refusing his proposal. And he thinking she regretted their night together and that's why she went riding in the rain the Morning after. So IMO, when she gave the little speech about the spectators taking pity on her and he steadying her to make sure she was ok, she was telling him she was ok about their night together. Hence we saw Anthony's smile.
Literally... "You are the bane of my existence, and the object of all my desires. Night and Day, I dream of you" "All I find myself thinking about, all I find myself being able to breathe for is you. Do you think I want to be in this position? Want to be Nowhere else except with you, want to run away with you" *I WAS LIKE... GIRL!!! ARE YOU BLIND AND DEAF???*
I’m surprised that Miatta was surprised that in the final scene Anthony was fully making out with his wife in front of his family. THIS man couldn’t stop himself from touching her when he wasn’t supposed to, so now that he can legally do so, why would anyone think that he wouldn’t. Remember the “all I find myself being able to breathe for is you, wanting to be nowhere else, except with you” speech? He loved her with every beat of his heart and their happiness was no nice to see finally and also the fact that his family, especially Daphne, was happy for him. These two are messy and made mistakes but I love them, they deserve to be with each other after all their sacrifices they made for their families.💕
I love how emotional you get every time Jonathan Bailey is on the screen🥹😂 so relatable 😅 the man is gorgeous and an amazing actor ❤️ Thank you for your reviews💜 I absolutely loved all of them😄 you’ve given me motivation to read the Bridgeton books 🫠
I love your commentary on Jonathan Bailey. He is everything this season. He uses that smooth; sultry whisper of a voice like a weapon. "Say you do not care for me. Tell me you feel nothing and I will walk away." In my head I'm screaming "DON'T YOU MOVE AN INCH". Even in the final episode when tell Kate that he loves her, his voice is hypnotizing. Let me not fail to mention those eyes and that mouth. What are we suppose to do with that? Ignore it? I think not!!
I’m with you girl about Jonathan Bailey I can’t even explain it , he’s just something else I felt everything he was feeling , his voice , his whispers, his stares , the way he tells Kate “just keep looking at me, no one else matters” I died and the music wrecking ball was just perfection, so sad that we had to wait until the end for then to be together, their chemistry was off the charts and I wanted more of them
honestly i love when he said to kate that she’s running away. it kind of shows anthony’s growth. it was just cool to see the tables turn a little bit. anthony has been running away almost his whole life and running away from love, but after his talk with violet, i think him proposing to kate was him accepting that he’s in love and he doesn’t want to lose her. but he just messed that proposal up😂 he did make it sound like he was doing it out of duty cuz i think he was still a little too scared to say he loved kate🥺
I love the kiss/make out sesh at the end because they just don’t care anymore about what anyone else thinks lol. I think the siblings seeing his unbridled happiness outweighs any ick factor, but still, y’all can close your eyes 😆. I’m excited to see them in the up coming seasons and I really hope they get a lot of screen time. Thank you for the laughs and the tears. Prayers sent up for that liver 🙏🏽 excited to see more of your reactions❤️#stayvulgar
Omg, can they just give Jonathan Bailey all the awards for his phenomenal acting?! Also thank you so much for your awesome reviews Miatta! You keep being 100% your authentic self & forget the haters! We love you just the way you are! I can’t wait for season three & your reviews! Sending you & your family lots of love, hugs & positive vibes!
Btw Miatta I would love to see you on the show. I think you’d do an awesome job! Thank you for recommending Anthony & Kate’s book. I just started it & I’m already in love with it!
I think the LW moment Penelope had at the end was her taking into that role fully after losing her only friend and hearing what Colin had to say about her. So in essence she decides to completely embody LW as it is all she has now. A honest villain origin story. I know a lot of ppl are mad at Penelope for her actions and rightfully so. However, what could she have done? Eloise wanted to turn LW into her own puppet to write what she wanted to hear and the queen only gave her 3 days until she takes action against her. What would they have collectively came up with? Penelope saying that the queen wouldn’t believe her is quite true cause come on, let’s not be dense. The same thing with the situation with marina. Even though she tried to tell Colin without fully saying it, he didn’t believe her nor did he listen to her. Even her bestie Eloise doesn’t listen to her. LW is the only time her voice gets heard and people actually listen. I understand why she wanted to keep it her own secret. Penelope wears yellow a lot as a form of symbolism of being a wallflower: not seen nor heard. If I went through my entire life like that and finally found a source in which I can be heard, I can’t say I wouldn’t make some of the actions Penelope made. Plus she doesn’t have the luxury that Eloise has with siblings who care for her and a stable financial condition. All in all, I hope she goes full throttle villain mode next season and leave the bridgertons behind (if it’s not her season that is).
Absolutely all of this. While Eloise had every right to be mad and read Pen for filth…when Pen clocked back with “at least I did something,” that was checkmate.
Here here! You said it perfectly. Penelope is ALONE. She’s been alone from day one. Her friends look to her as a crutch and a loyal lap dog. They don’t value her opinion or truly care about HER outside of what she provided for them. Her writing is the only voice she has. If Eloise was REALLY a feminist, she would actually see how her bestie, Penelope, is in a more precarious situation than her on various levels. She is bound by the Ton, and also shunned by it in the same accord. Eloise has more privileges than her and doesn’t use them for good, instead she’s selfish and hypocritical. The fact is, if ANYONE really paid attention to Penelope, she wouldn’t even have time to write Whistledown.
That's nice and all, but why the hell did she antagonize the Queen for a full season? I mean i know it is for plot reasons, but why when you are a wallflower and feel alone and misunderstood your first answer is "i'm just gonna start talking smack about the Queen" ? Why is this her story, she is not a radical feminist, she is not doing this because she has some kind of grudge against the Queen from what we see, so why all this crap she started and sunk others in order to continue it? I would love an antihero or vilain story for Pen where they truly flesh out her reasoning in a way that follows sense and allows for us to understand her, but unfortunately so far things just happen because they needed more screen time for the Queen and Pen needed to argue with Eloise. So it seems her only motivation for doing things is because the plot needs to move along, unfortunately.
@@candymax2065 cause she wants to make money..she probably thinks it’s highly doubtful she’ll get married, her mom is a flake and it’s her only outlet. Whk is looking after her? No one. So she does.
Penelope could've turned herself in instead of writing about Eloise. She's got plenty of evidence to prove that she's LW. Also what about Marina from season 1? She didn't have to reveal that to the public, she could've just written a letter to the Bridgertons as LW and left it out of her paper.
I had thought you'd pick up on it, but Colin is the one who made the donation to the art school. Benedict only assumes it was Anthony. But when he confronts Anthony about it, Anthony is looking at him like he's got three heads. He has no idea what Benedict was talking about. It was Colin. Colin was the only sibling who Benedict confided in about his fears and anxieties that he wasn't a good enough artist and wouldn't get into the school. Colin took out a large sum of money without saying anything to anyone, much to Anthony's chagrin, and said the money was for that business venture with Lord Featherington. Except, he was on to Lord Featherington's shady deal from the start and Colin *never* gave him any money! So, maybe dumb-dumb Colin redeemed himself a little bit this season.
OMG! Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention! Because it never really made sense to me that Anthony would make a donation to the art school when he and Benedict never discussed his application (for a lack of a better historically accurate word) to the art school.
Just throwing this at the wall, the show couldn’t have given us some flashbacks of her life while she was in a coma? Her father? Her responsibilities in India? Her mother or Mary? Even if it were things that cemented her idea that she needed to return so that her decision/determination would make since? Also why was Newton not cuddling her?
Oh and btw, Miatta you were wondering in your first review how many Kanthony moments/minutes we got. We had like 91 minutes of Kanthony (including Pall Mall, poetry night etc.) That's like 19% of the whole season... (Still mad, can you tell? lol)
Kate’s birth mamá was also present. In fact, she was the only one who stood up for Kate. She was like ok , gonna stop this shit myself as no one else is doing nothing for my baby!
I loved this season because of Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley. Kanthony chemistry made this season for me. Like you, even I wanted more of Kate and Anthony thn other crap. I hated Pen, which is sad coz I loved Pen in the books. Also, I really felt Edwina never loved Anthony. Her anger was more coz Kate didn't tell her how she feels but in Kate defense, she tried to tell her twice but both time either she was interrupted or Edwina said she loved Anthony, which I think she never did.
I have to say for what little we get of Kate's backstory, I FELT for her on the whole thing about just being internally convinced that people don't love you and you can't be enough without earning love, and I think that the people who did not understand how that could be her mindset despite being this strong, talented and independent person...haven't met any of the women in my life, lol.
Best reviews! Hilarious and thought provoking. You may actually have convinced me to read the books, and I haven't cracked a romance novel in thirty years.
you are everything. thank you so much for these reactions/commentary/critical reviews, they have been some of the highlights of this season for me. so glad to go on this ride with you (again)!!
At the same time that Bridgerton season 2 was shooting, Netflix's Lockwood & Co, a show in which Ms Stoke who plays Francesca has a leading role, was also being filmed. This was most likely the scheduling conflict that kept the actress from filming more scenes for Bridgerton season 2 and caused the show to sideline Francesca again.
Miatta, THANK YOU for this series of reviews! Like a lot of other Bridgerton lovers I looked for commentaries and reviews on YT. There are good ones (different to yours, but good too), decent ones and plain bad ones. But your are topping them! Ok, you're sometimes a little loose with your language (and your whatever consumption) and I would gladly lend you a hanky for the more emotional moments, but overall you have a sharp eye and a even sharper wit. I just love the running commentary to the most moving scenes and yes, less Featherington sh*t and more Kanthony cuteness. Your "down to earth" approach to this fantasy is really refreshing. One thing: I really really can't see how Shondaland will turn Pen into a positive heroine in S3. They have less than a year to produce S3 and I haven't seen any news about the leading lady yet... That and this vague "we don't necessarily follow the books" talk from Shondaland says to me that Pen & Colins story is the next... after all, they have their leading lady of this storyline already in the cast. BUT... while I love Nicola Coughlan as an actress, after this emotional season I can't see her following and (maybe) superseding Simone Ashley as a romantic heroine. We'll wait with bated breath how the (talented...) writers and a new showrunner will try to do this.
I dont know how and why Kate would conclude the obligation angle. The guy has been telling you, whispering to you, eyeing you for 7 episodes, he will cheat on her sister to be with her! His honour is hanging by a very tenous thread and so is my patience!!!
LOOOOVED IT!!!! Also, my favorite episode this entire season. Also, THANK YOU for continuing reviewing Courtship. And also, I AM SORRY for I didnt realize you would be drinking for those, so I want to apologize to your liver!!! Sending money for water and green drinks to detox!!! 💕💕
We love Penelope. She's just going through her villain error right now. It's okay. Everybody else has been a villain to her so now she's being a villain as I say slyley
At the end, I think Penelope picks up her quill again because A) The writers love Whistledown and lean heavily on that aspect of the show so of course we aren't done with her yet! And B) In those final few scenes Pen has her heart broken by her best friend and the love of her life. She has nowhere and no one to turn to so she turns to the only thing she has left: Lady Whistledown. It's the only purpose she finds remaining after a night of devastating loss. She is hurting but we forget that she's young and still learning. She has made mistakes and I truly hope the show will do Penelope justice in a proper redemption arc. She deserves to be seen as more than just a quiet girl who betrays people. I think her motives are far more complex than that.
I feel like people who have read the books understand how Pen's mind works and even if we don't agree with her, we know the reason behing her actions weren't driven by selfishness, and that the relationship with Eloise is complicated because it is unequal. Sadly, the show doesn't offer an insight into Penelope's thoughts and hasn't explored Eloise's carelessness and self indulgence in their friendship because that is something talked about in her book. But we can easily see the dynamic in the show is the same. Now, because they rushed the entire story, and have made Eloise practically perfect in the eyes of the average viwer, I'm afraid we won't get too see a convincing redeeming arc for Penelope and even if we do, people hate her with such a passion that won't even be open to at least try to understand where her motivations were coming from (which in all honesty it is really very easy to draw from just watching the show but people in the fictional realm of Bridgerton preach empathy and seem to be emotionally stunted at the same time which makes me lose faith in humanity lol)
She tore their family apart are we watching the same show ? She opens up show calling all the Bridgerton ladies beautiful and all the men perfectly handsome she challenged Danbury into getting Simon and Daphne together and she saved Daphne from having to marry Burbrooke. She kept their illegal dual a secret and if you read the books you know that she knows about it. She saved Colin at the risk of her own family so he wouldn’t be deceived into a loveless marriage. She’s always singing the Bridgerton‘s high praises calling them iillustrious family lovely and hyping up all their events not to mention bailing them out of the mess that they caused them selves. I feel like people are missing the whole point of lady whistle down not actually reading what she’s saying because her commentary is about the hypocrisy of the society they live in and showing that nobody is perfect. And you can’t actually be ruined if you’re rich and beautiful because we see the Bridgerton are perfectly happy at the end of this season and Penelope is all alone. In the wise words of our favorite drug dealer with a heart of gold Sometimes people deserve to get their feelings hurt and should check their privilege
@@liliana1632 Show Penelope is not much like Book Penelope. I don't need Penelope's actions to be justified after the fact. I don't need to be won over to what she's done or think she's right. I want her to own what she's done, apologise to people she's hurt, and grow. That would be a redemption arc. Maybe it'll happen.
Honestly I need to apologize for judging Simone’s performance too harshly first time around and comparing her to Bella in Twilight 😆😆😆. She’s stunningly beautiful and was definitely playing Kate a certain way- that little look while they were dancing was what I wanted to see more of. Great reaction, Miata… keep doing you, boo! 🥰
Should see Simone in her natural element she is so lively and moves her limbs around she is the kind of ppl that can't stay put. This is Kate's character. I don't think ppl judging her have the first idea what acting means. It's not the most emotions you show it's portraying a character. Which she did. She us stronger than Anthony emotionally. He is just weaker when it comes to her. She is better than him at creating walls and putting up a strong front...opens up to Anthony much much later.
@@shafaghb yeah I think I had to watch the season over and really digest the changes they made from the books to appreciate her acting specifically. Plus Jonathan Bailey is so phenomenal- a really impressive, expressive portrayal of Anthony that I think it took more time to see Kate’s nuances. Everyone on the show is wonderful.
I never thought I would enjoy seeing someone cry...guilty...this season was beautiful, gripping, exciting. This serie made us feel all kinds of emotions and it feels good. 🥰 thank you for your react 😍😍😍 Now that you have finished the season, I invite you to watch my editvideo about Kanthony, my favorite couple now, like many I think ❤ I hope you enjoy 😘
Queen, I just wanna say, thank you for your service! I know this season wasn't easy for you to do, but we're forever grateful for giving us these entertaining recaps/reviews. Hope you'll continue doing these Bridgerton reviews and serving us your unfiltered thoughts even though they might be "unpopular opinions" lol. p.s. "Francesca should be on milk jugs: MISSING" byeee i am sent lmao
You hate Penelope too. I feel so seen😭😭😭. She’s writing a regency era burn book except with Regina George you know she’s awful if you pay attention. I can’t with Penelope’s “I did this for you” act. And ugh at people saying Eloise was reckless while ignoring that Penelope’s been provoking the queen for a year.
Thank you Miatte. Your reviews of S1 and S2 are spot on. You verbalise exactly how I feel with much of the show. I love your wit and insight. I too was immensely disappointed as to what they did with Anthony and Kate's relationship in the series. They took the low road to make it into a tacky soap opera instead of taking the high road to making a great Regency romance series. Having said that I think the actors are fabulous.
This season had me flashing back to Pride and Prejudice. I loved it more than the first. I'm with every reaction that you had about Jonathan Bailey. He can do no wrong.
Changes to the sister dynamic really tainted the season for me. I don’t know if it is because I am an older sibling and a ‘half sister’ but I truly loved that pure sister love in the book and was most disappointed by that change. Furthermore, like you said, the season needed more Kate and more Kanthony - give me more one on one vulnerability and banter. It would have been better for it. While some changes were good, other changes and/or side plots didn’t make sense, dragged, or were just boring. As much as I understand why they chose not to include some stuff from the book I believe certain aspects would have given it what it was missing i.e., Kate’s backstory, kanthony bonding, the Sharma/Sheffield family relationship from the book . Nevertheless, I loved the actors so I thoroughly enjoyed the Kanthony scenes we did get! As a book reader I needed to hear another book reader POV. Your reactions caused me to laugh out loud constantly! Your uploads were so enjoyable to watch so thank you so much for taking the time to do these reviews! They were a highlight to a season that didn’t quite meet expectations.
Completely agree. Haven't read the books, but I've seen readers comment on the storm scene under the desk. I can actually visualise it & it looks beautiful in my mind's eye 😊. That would have been a bonding scene I'd have loved to see depicted. It's just baffling why the writers decided to limit the Kanthony scenes in the season dedicated to them. Huh? Such a silly choice.
I enjoyed Season 2 much more than Season 1. But I don't know how I will be able to enjoy Penelope and Colin's story. And theirs may be next. Penelope and Eloise have more drama as a couple than Penelope and Colin. Especially on screen, watching a woman panting after a man that is oblivious to her feelings is nauseating. So I hope Kate and Anthony have a good secondary story to support the main story.
My word, you are the only one who noticed "Hot Footman"!. I love Eloise and Theo, but they do have to expand the role of "Hot Footman!"😂 I do disagree with you about Portia and Cousin Jack. The scene is already messed up with her pushing her daughter with Cousin Jack. 🤮 I do agree that Cousin Jack was at Jan 6🤣 Still waiting for Penelope receiving some retribution to printing about Miss Thompson/Lady Crane's pregnancy, I hope the TV script is different than the books. I would love if "something" happens to Lord Crane and Colin will go back to Lady Crane. Colin held the baby Auggie when Daphne visited, so we know Colin is comfortable with children.🤔 Yes, there should of been an episode 9. We want more of the married KAnthony!!!
You are absolutely hysterical 😂 I loved watching your Bridgerton reviews and although it broke my heart a little that you won’t be doing Shadow and Bones bc you’re being the successful queen you are❤ I will be back here to watch any and all future Bridgerton reviews. Thank you, I haven’t laughed this much in a while 😂
Literally the best Bridgerton reaction videos on YT!! And also great contrasting discussions from the book/show. I have a question: of all the books, which spouse would you change? For me it’s Eloise/Philip. Let her fall for print shop boy and force society to accept a commoner. I’m reading it now and it’s hard reading how emotionally wrecked this relationship is. Eloise from the show is funny and full of life so to read that she settled for such a dolt is heartbreaking. Even with his big D and oral skills.
Hahahaha philip slander!!!! I love him so so much in the books but im not sure yet how i feel about show Philip. Honestly, I really dont love Benedicts book or Gregory's books so whatever the show chooses to do there, I am all for it!
@@MiattaLebile No Sophie for you!?! I can see the show taking it there. He is lessor classist than the rest of his family. As for Eloise, I just want to see her challenged and more than anything exercise her autonomy and chose who she ends up with regardless of expectation. Maybe star Theo and then end up with Philip?
@@MiattaLebile Just finished Eloise’s book and it’s a solid NO on Philip. I don’t see how show Eloise could be matched with a man so dull and needy. Show Eloise doesn’t care for children or country living so I’m not seeing it. I hope they either change Philip or change who Eloise marries. That dude is no fun at all.
@mc-ge2bt I agree. I hate Book Phillip so much. The only thing I like about him is that he is proud of Eloise's shooting skills (which we have so far not seen). I don't even understand why anyone likes him. He is my arch enemy. I wanted Phillip to die and Eloise to get with Marina. I love her with Theo, though. I'm with you: Force society to accept a commoner..
@@MiattaLebile Love your reviews! I think the actor who plays Colin has had poor writing and very poor side plots to work with. Don't think it would have made a difference who is playing Colin to date
@@MiattaLebile This much Colin toxicity is not good for my health. People aren't even ready to give him a chance to redeem himself, they're too much blinded by Kanthony acting that they forget its not even Polin's season yet and so they doesn't have to shine higher than the main couple. Still, regardless of what people say, Polin is one of the most popular ships of Bridgerton and majority have embraced Luke Newton as Colin already. And I've good faith in him and Nicola that their season would break off every single record made by previous seasons.
I was kind of emotionally tired when Kate rejected Anthony's first proposal. The writers just put Kate through a coma -after they fiiiiiinally had sex in ep7- and now she rejects him (I get why she says no, the writers made him give his worst speech all season with that first proposal). But after watching him break down completely with Violet & being so honest & vulnerable about his feelings (what a beautiful scene that was for both Violet & Anthony) I was ready for the big moment. But then Kate says no and we have to wait even longer for them to get togetherrrr, in the final ep. Really? I was so tired. But okay. Season is done. Miatta thank you so much for your reviews! In your first season review you were so sharp with your analysis on the show compared to the book and how the changes they made to Kanthony really took away from their season. And in your ep-by-ep review you were so critical on the messy writing, pointing out major/minor plotlines, but also dialogues and characters/back stories. Seriously, a lot of official outlets & booktubers can learn a thing or two from you, greatly frustrated with all the generous and shallow reviews. So thank you!!!
34:27 Assuming that her majesty is talking about Frederick I think he and Edwina will make a lovely couple. hope we get to see them arm in arm in at least one future season - seasons 3 and 4 are still confirmed, we're all waiting for 5 and 6 at least to be confirmed.
You Nasty for that one!!!! Breathe in his Farts Bro!!!! But I am totally in LOVE with Anthony too... Season 2 Anthony of course. Lol Love your channel and live for your takes and reviews. You are so fun!!! See you season 3 Mama!
You missed the most important part when Kate asks Anthony if he's going to ask her to dance and Anthony says "are you going to say yes" that was so sexy. How could you not edit that important moment🤨😒
Apologise to Marina? lol Marina was deceiving someone without any diginity, love. And Eloise? It was all fun and games to her, she loved LW until she was the focus and she was only the focus because she started a crusade to find her, because she's a fan...i mean. lbr
It cousin Jack lol!! I love how Lady Featherington fights for the best for her girls. She’s a fun “villain” I want a her to be with a man who can take control 😊
Please don't say the single mom thing too loudly! Someone will pick up on it and write a think piece talking about how Bridgerton erases Black fatherhood or something 😭😭
The mom was suffering from the rejection of her mom, being thrust into leadership without training, and confliction due to not knowing that she deserves love….
I’m glad it’s not just me who hates Penelope. I was starting to think I was the problem because everywhere I go everyone is on her side and totally ships Penelope with Colin meanwhile I could not even force myself to care about them 😭
I think they said Francesca was in Bath in season 1. Lady behind the Queen would be a Lady in waiting and would be drawn from one of the leading aristocratic families. Penites Penitites Penoms For the Penelope apologists
My sister is 4 years younger than me, and if she had just stolen my husband and then fell into a coma...I suppose I would be feeling many different emotions, and probably conflicting ones. I don't think I would automatically forgive her when she woke up. I think there would be relief because she is my sister, but then immediately followed with "we need to go to therapy to hash some things out." But I think I would be upset for quite some time.
STOP HATING ON PENELOPE! Eloise left her brother's wedding when the Queen says no one can leave, and was followed to the printer and exposed by the Queen's servant. If she listened to Pen and STAYED AT THE WEDDING, Eloise would not have been in the position she was in. The Bridgertons ARE THE DRAMA, you don't what to be in the tattler; don't be messy Marina came ruined and tried to trap Colin first by compromising his honor then straight up deception, and you already know he ends up with Pen; STOP HATING!
It’s so interesting that ppl seem to forget the scheme marina had. Had Penelope not done anything, ppl would say she’s a bad friend. She tried telling Colin and Colin didn’t listen and in fact didn’t care. Honestly ppl just don’t like Penelope point blank period.
I agree, actually, both sides are wrong, Eloise is wrong because she is the one that go to that print shop unchaperoned, when we all knew that it was so wrong for a lady to go there alone. It is Eloise fault that she is accused by the Queen because what she did is not normal Even if Penelope tell the Queen she is LW i will sure tho that the Queen will not believe it, she will think that Pen is just try to rescue her friend, and make her more suspecting Eloise. Even if Pen bring all the proof, the Queen maybe think that proof is belong to Eloise tho. About Marina aghh come on, we all knew it percisely that Marina is the one that trying to trapped Colin into a Wedding, even Penelope is trying to warn Colin, actually we all know how big Colin loved Marina, if Marina really loved Colin she must trust him and tell him all the truth, Colin said it that if Marina tell him honestly he will take those child and marry her right at that time. It show how much Colin love Marina, but Marina i know she just want to marry Colin just to trapped him and not really loved him. Even if I don't love Colin. If I'm his friend, without loving him like Penelope. I will tell him the truth, just like what Penelope did Think again about it, when you have a dream, a job, that you really love, but every one hate it, and if anyone knows about it, then maybe i should let my job gone. So i wouldnt tell anyone about it, even my best friend, really, even your best friend maybe will be in danger if she knew about what you doing, so i will not tell her. That' s why Penelope not tellinh Eloise. She also warned Eloise for not going to investigate more about LW but Eloise the one that didnt heard it and do all thing by herself Looking at this episode, I really sad about Penelope, she is the one that must give up from her dream for rescued her friends but Eloise didnt take it right and think Penelope was wrong, I think Penelope is wrong too, but if we think again, are you have any possible way to rescued her without doing like that? I cannot think of any way other than this. And Colin, he is such a d*ck I really hate him for embarass Penelope in front of his friends like that. It's really heartbroken for Penelope to lost her dream, her friend, and her love just in one night. At least at the end, she continued to do her dream being LW, i hope you understand how hard be Penelope and not just judge her like she is a real demon. Excuse me, a demon will not save her friends and sacrifice her dream for her friends. I think your demon is so good😏
So considering those times, how was Kate able to marry Antony without trash talk? Won’t both of her parents commoner’s? Wouldn’t someone trip about that?
I truly believe that Jonathan set the gold standard for romantic leading man in period dramas.
Agreed. He's incredible. His microexpressions are sublime and add so much to every scene. I catch something new on every rewatch.
@@neuriel second this!
Well said! They sold me on their love story in spite of the storyline with the dialed up mess. That's top tier chemistry!
How did she steal Anthony? She literally begged that man to marry her sister regardless of her feelings for him. It’s not her fault that man can’t control his face. And Edwina’s the one wanted the marriage with dude who told her he wasn’t in it for love off top.
!!!!
Literally. He was hitting on her. He couldn't control him when she was trying so hard
"I am returning to India" "Baby you better return to Anthony's bed. You ain't returning to no place but Anthony's bed."
lmaoooo that about sums up the amount laughs and joy your reactions have brought all the way through. Thanks for yet another great reaction.
Yes, I thought Simone looked radiant in every gown she was in. She's such a stunning woman.
I can't remember. What does she say to reassure him?
@@Wendy17719 Awww! I like that interpretation☺. Anthony smiling because of Kate in any scene, is everything.💗
LOL when Kate said "he (as in Anthony) does not love me mama" I screamed like girl have u been around all season?
Ikr!!!
She was obviously not watching Netflix lol.
Agreed! Girl! How many ways can he let you know? 😯😂🤣
Literally... "You are the bane of my existence, and the object of all my desires. Night and Day, I dream of you"
"All I find myself thinking about, all I find myself being able to breathe for is you. Do you think I want to be in this position? Want to be Nowhere else except with you, want to run away with you"
*I WAS LIKE... GIRL!!! ARE YOU BLIND AND DEAF???*
"Cousin Jack was at January 6th" 😂😂😂 Girl I am crying
This is the most I’ve seen Anthony smile 🥺🥺🥺
You're right about #kanthony chemistry. The show creators should take full advantage of it.
I love how emotional you get every time Jonathan Bailey is on the screen🥹😂 so relatable 😅 the man is gorgeous and an amazing actor ❤️
Thank you for your reviews💜 I absolutely loved all of them😄 you’ve given me motivation to read the Bridgeton books 🫠

Jonathan Bailey nailed this role, such a beautiful, talented man💕💕
I’m with you girl about Jonathan Bailey I can’t even explain it , he’s just something else I felt everything he was feeling , his voice , his whispers, his stares , the way he tells Kate “just keep looking at me, no one else matters” I died and the music wrecking ball was just perfection, so sad that we had to wait until the end for then to be together, their chemistry was off the charts and I wanted more of them
honestly i love when he said to kate that she’s running away. it kind of shows anthony’s growth. it was just cool to see the tables turn a little bit. anthony has been running away almost his whole life and running away from love, but after his talk with violet, i think him proposing to kate was him accepting that he’s in love and he doesn’t want to lose her. but he just messed that proposal up😂 he did make it sound like he was doing it out of duty cuz i think he was still a little too scared to say he loved kate🥺

Wait , what ?!?!
@@durgalin341 lol yes. On your next rewatch, look out for it!
This makes so much more sense! Hope they mention it next season.
OMG! Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention! Because it never really made sense to me that Anthony would make a donation to the art school when he and Benedict never discussed his application (for a lack of a better historically accurate word) to the art school.
After all, they just said "your brother", not which one.
I died at “HOT FOOTMAN IS BACK!” 😂😂 I’m so glad I found this channel LOL subscribed immediately!
Oh and btw, Miatta you were wondering in your first review how many Kanthony moments/minutes we got. We had like 91 minutes of Kanthony (including Pall Mall, poetry night etc.) That's like 19% of the whole season... (Still mad, can you tell? lol)
Not even 20%. I'm fuming 😭😭😭 i need more of them
Kate’s birth mamá was also present. In fact, she was the only one who stood up for Kate. She was like ok , gonna stop this shit myself as no one else is doing nothing for my baby!
The way Kate looks at him at 34:40 was so cute i swear.Just so pure. It will live rent free in my mind for a while.
"3 snaps in Z formation!" lol I haven't heard that in years. I love your reaction to this! I agree with all of it.
Happy Birthday to Jonathan Bailey! 🥳 A great actor
Anthony's head is spiraling and Violet us talking about Edmond and forgive me and...like give him a moment to process.
I can’t handle when he covers his face after he finds out she’s awake. I canNOT. 😭
That man loved her with every beat of his heart. The relief in his voice when he said “she’s awake”, I couldn’t take it either😭
you are everything. thank you so much for these reactions/commentary/critical reviews, they have been some of the highlights of this season for me. so glad to go on this ride with you (again)!!
Girl you are the best thing ever!!! I live for you recaps. So fun
She has been recast now, so I hope she will be around.
Yes. Whether Pen & Colin or Benedict & whoever, Kanthony will be a tough act to follow. I kind of feel sorry for them in advance.
I dont know how and why Kate would conclude the obligation angle. The guy has been telling you, whispering to you, eyeing you for 7 episodes, he will cheat on her sister to be with her! His honour is hanging by a very tenous thread and so is my patience!!!
🤣😃🤣
Oh my. God so funny. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!!!! I cannot stop laughing so true we all feel that stressful watching their tortius love affair
Your review had me in stitches and probably rewatched this season maybe 10 times! LOL. Thank you!
Thank you for doing these! Loved each of them :)
@@sarickacampbell2642 I think people forgot about how powerful the Bridgerton name is.
@@liliana1632 eloise is definitely NOT perfect
@@liliana1632 Show Penelope is not much like Book Penelope. I don't need Penelope's actions to be justified after the fact. I don't need to be won over to what she's done or think she's right. I want her to own what she's done, apologise to people she's hurt, and grow. That would be a redemption arc. Maybe it'll happen.
LOL too funny. You voiced exactly what I was feeling regarding Pen.
You had me feeling emotional one second then laughing out loud the next. So good!

Lmfaoooooo lord the line about Francesca had me dying!
They got another actress for next season, who I hope will be available and not working on a different project.
I cried through the Mary/Kate scene too😭🔥
You hate Penelope too.
Obligate yourself on me, behind me. 🤣😂 You are so crazy!
I would be skipping Polin. I hate that dynamics. Please notice me senpai needy girl

Wish he did, I find this Colin... meh...
SAME. I think Theo is a more interesting actor!
@@MiattaLebile Love your reviews! I think the actor who plays Colin has had poor writing and very poor side plots to work with. Don't think it would have made a difference who is playing Colin to date
Theo would have been a better Colin ! Anyone would have been a better Colin !
I hope we see them get together as a secondary story.
team Pen ... why should she give up her career and life because Eloise cant keep her nose out of things...
You Nasty for that one!!!! Breathe in his Farts Bro!!!! But I am totally in LOVE with Anthony too... Season 2 Anthony of course. Lol Love your channel and live for your takes and reviews. You are so fun!!! See you season 3 Mama!
Stealing a spouse is not the same as stealing your fiance.
Is Penelope not concerned that if she keeps publishing Whistledown, Eloise could out her to the queen and/or to the public?
Not the single mother Bridgerton Lmfaoooo
You missed the most important part when Kate asks Anthony if he's going to ask her to dance and Anthony says "are you going to say yes" that was so sexy. How could you not edit that important moment🤨😒
Love your comments they're so real but so funny 😁
I thought hot footman and Theo were the same actor ( in a wig ) or am l seeing double ?? 😂😂😂
They are different. Another reviewer did a side by side comparison because they thought they were the same actor too. 😂They do look very similar.
There's some pretty hot, smutty fanfic on Ao3 about Eloise and the hot footman.
Apologise to Marina? lol Marina was deceiving someone without any diginity, love. And Eloise? It was all fun and games to her, she loved LW until she was the focus and she was only the focus because she started a crusade to find her, because she's a fan...i mean. lbr
Shout out to you and your liver for getting through this season, girl! I've enjoyed the ride!
I never wanted children, but Violet Bridgerton is making me rethink this...
Seeing all your empathy for Kate while you despise Penelope…. Mystifying.
It cousin Jack lol!! I love how Lady Featherington fights for the best for her girls. She’s a fun “villain” I want a her to be with a man who can take control 😊
You are so dramatic. Love you
I think Colin believed Will, and that where his investigation began
That's what I think, too.
LOL As much as I disagree with some of your assessments I love watching you review this show.
I can keep a grudge too. I have two sisters that I haven’t spoken to in years & I don’t plan to 😂
Really??? I'm so nosey. Why???
Please don't say the single mom thing too loudly! Someone will pick up on it and write a think piece talking about how Bridgerton erases Black fatherhood or something 😭😭
😂😂😂😂 Penelope Demonic Fan Club
Forgive a little, create distance until I healed
The mom was suffering from the rejection of her mom, being thrust into leadership without training, and confliction due to not knowing that she deserves love….
Girl I'm trying to watch the movie damn😭😭😭❤️
I also thought Cousin Jack was totally going to NYC to revel with the Gilded Age...
Colin didn’t know until the bar keep said something. He still gave Jack the money Anthony yelled at him for. Which makes him a dumb dumb for sure.
Penites
Penitites
Penoms
For the Penelope apologists
You are so hilarious 😆 best commentator ever!
The Bridgertons ARE THE DRAMA, you don't what to be in the tattler; don't be messy
Marina came ruined and tried to trap Colin first by compromising his honor then straight up deception, and you already know he ends up with Pen; STOP HATING!
It is Eloise fault that she is accused by the Queen because what she did is not normal
Even if Penelope tell the Queen she is LW i will sure tho that the Queen will not believe it, she will think that Pen is just try to rescue her friend, and make her more suspecting Eloise.
I will tell him the truth, just like what Penelope did
Think again about it, when you have a dream, a job, that you really love, but every one hate it, and if anyone knows about it, then maybe i should let my job gone. So i wouldnt tell anyone about it, even my best friend, really, even your best friend maybe will be in danger if she knew about what you doing, so i will not tell her. That' s why Penelope not tellinh Eloise. She also warned Eloise for not going to investigate more about LW but Eloise the one that didnt heard it and do all thing by herself
Looking at this episode, I really sad about Penelope, she is the one that must give up from her dream for rescued her friends but Eloise didnt take it right and think Penelope was wrong, I think Penelope is wrong too, but if we think again, are you have any possible way to rescued her without doing like that? I cannot think of any way other than this.
And Colin, he is such a d*ck I really hate him for embarass Penelope in front of his friends like that. It's really heartbroken for Penelope to lost her dream, her friend, and her love just in one night. At least at the end, she continued to do her dream being LW, i hope you understand how hard be Penelope and not just judge her like she is a real demon. Excuse me, a demon will not save her friends and sacrifice her dream for her friends. I think your demon is so good😏
Baby Portia is always serving body! I do want her with someone who loves her.
Francesca was in episode one.
@miatta can you please do a video on your favorite regency romance novels and hottest authors?
So considering those times, how was Kate able to marry Antony without trash talk? Won’t both of her parents commoner’s? Wouldn’t someone trip about that?
