🖖 You know, I say crunchy a lot, and what I mean by that is you know I’m just a little irritated… I very seldom get mad mad these days, like a lot of people my age we have been through a lot, seen a lot and found out we can survive 🤣🤣🤣 so I don’t really get pissed off that often. ….. But yeah some things still do kinda ruffle my feathers and I call it getting crunchy … you know your energy or your vibe or your aura not quite as shiny and smooth, a little crunchy 🤣🤣🤣🤣 to those who are highly empathic would pick up on it. 🔸 so I also want to add that with the lady that was being super rude and self-centered, I had no clue if she also was maybe a little mentally challenged or whatever is the politically correct thing to say, so in my thinking I also needed to give her the benefit of the doubt… so I just said why don’t you come on this side of the aisle and shop with me for a minute until they’re done, I did tell her she was acting rude though … but I didn’t want to raise my voice or be too over the top because again who knows if she also has some cognitive impairment?? Or yeah, she could’ve just been a straight up hateful selfish person??? But I ain’t really trying to go to jail or anything 🤪😎😇 It’s a hard call sometimes in life, to know how to handle situations that you witness, sometimes silence equals complicity. Maybe I was a little more than crunchy, maybe I was leaning toward being pissed off since apparently I had to vent a little bit 🤣🤣🤣 thanks you guys
I loved your use of 'crunchy'. You are very caring and in tune with seniors. You have grown to become my favorite thrifter, for your kindness, sharing your knowledge, and because you try to connect personally with us by finding a mirror. I'm glad you told those ladies about the other store too. 💗
Yvonne, we’re all a little crunchy sometimes ! I think you handled it well, none of us know what another is going through but there’s really no excuse for rudeness.
You are what my Dad used to call a class act! Hope all of us can follow your example! Yes, she was rude. But who knows what was going on in her life? It's not an excuse really, but maybe she was stressing out. Or, just plain rude! Nicely handled on you part!
Yvon, I love you and your “crunchiness!” You are a kind, compassionate person and you understand the importance of treating the elderly with dignity and respect. You go girl!!
I am so grateful that you spoke up and defended the two ladies, especially the elderly lady. My guess is that the super rude lady had probably done this before, with no consequences. Unthinkable! Had she been rude to your sweet Pops, I feel you would have been a lot more than "a little crunchy"! Not a reseller, but am a huge fan of you and your TH-cam channel! Hugs to you and Pops!
I’m all for your crunchiness. What I have learned from having an adult daughter with Down Syndrome who still lives with me is that people who haven’t been exposed to dealing with someone they love being ill, cancer, disabled, brain trauma, dementia etc don’t have any patience or even care. I’m generalizing of course. There are some people who are very caring and sweet. So love when you stand up for people that need it.
I’m glad you told us about the rudeness at the good will. Thank you for sticking up for the lady. Good lesson for us all to have a little more patience and compassion. Hey, how much was that piano? Just curious. I love your shopping trips. Thanks for showing us the stuff. Your style makes me really feel like I’m right there with you. I feel like we’re best friends!
You are so enjoyable to watch and listen to. I love your knowledge and I’m crazy about that last thrift store that you were in my gosh wish I were in your area and could shop there the prices were fantastic. I’m also very impressed with how you stood up to that nasty woman that was missed treating that elderly woman. I can’t believe they disrespected people have nowadays. In my days you were respectful especially to the elderly. And I do have aSpecial love for children and older people. Course I happen to be an older people myself but I’ve always enjoyed talking and being around older people!
I took care of both my parents until the end and it was my privilege, you never regret time spent with them. You are right to stand up to that person, we will all get old one day if we are lucky. 😁
Your crunchie is coated in sweet kindness. We all need to take care of our elderly, our innocent, our fellow humans. It takes a village, but somewhere along the line the village has learned to turn their head and not invest in the greater good. I applaud your conviction. And your sharing is not a complaint. It is an education. We all should use our platform to occasionally give conversation to the cause of social justice. The incident you reported is at the base of bigger issues. Thank you for nipping it in the bud, humanely and calmly. I am so impressed with you and your care. Plus, I like your approach to reselling and your reasoning on camera.
Thank you for taking such good care of your Dad. I know you giving him some independence means a lot to him! I cared for both my Mom and Dad before their passing.
Thank you Yvone for getting crunchy!! You are such a kind heart! People need to realize they too will become elderly! Show some respect, they have earned it!
You rock, girl! I use a cane, and have a very painful leg due to a head on car wreck- not my fault. I've had people shove me, and one even stole my cane! So I appreciate crunchy people. Sick of those who have an over developed sense of entitlement. They're the first to squall if something happens to them. Love to you and Pops! 💘
Hi Yvon, I think that Tonala Mexico pot was a Ken Edwards. His pieces are pretty popular I believe. Some nice finds. Your Dad is looking good. Stay safe. ❤️ I have noticed an uptick in rude behavior and some people just down right losing it. Very sad. Thank you for sticking up for that lady. ❤️
Thanks for standing up to the rude woman and saying what needed to be said! I'm 70, but I always speak up when someone's out of line. Life is way too short and there are much bigger issues in our world that need addressing. We all need to be thankful for what we have and quit the bitchin' about all the little stuff! It drives me nuts! You're such a good woman. Thank you! 💙
Yvon you are so sweet to watch over the senior citizens 💙. They were just out to have some fun together and you know when you get older you don't get out as often as you used to. Especially with COVID and all. I just want to give you and your Dad a big hug. Your my kind of people. It's nice that you kept your composure and and was able to find some cool stuff. I just want to say thank you for caring and thank you for sharing! ❤ 😘
I was glad to see your additional comments to this video. I was thinking the same thing. We don't always "see" the situation that some people live with, cognitive issues, special needs etc. Our granddaughter is autistic and sometimes she says things that can be misunderstood. It makes us happier if we just treat people the way we would like to be treated no matter their age. We can not completely avoid the rude people in the world, all we can do is control the way we act and react. It sounds like you handled the situation very well by inviting her to join you in your area of the aisle. And even if she was as you said a "straight up hateful selfish person", it was great that you didn't respond in kind. Just my view on things... And you found some cool stuff too. 😊
Mrs. Yvon you're so sweet for standing up for the elderly lady and her friend!!❤ that is rude just go look at other stuff until peeps are done thats what I always do. Yeah I don't know whats going on but that gross attitude has been everywhere. Thats the first I've ever seen a security in a thrift store!!! Great video Yvon bless you and your Pops❤❤❤
You know, that blue and green ginger jar with the pretty glaze? It reminds me so much of ceramics class in the 70’s. We had glazes like that. You’d have to mix up the jar of glaze really good because it had “rocks” in it that would stick on the piece when you painted it on. Then the “rocks” and “sand” would melt in the firing and make those pretty colored patterns. So it really WAS “melty” glaze. All kinds of color combinations. It was a surprise every time a piece came out of the kiln. So much fun!!!!
You were well justified in being crunchy, and thank you for telling her! Sooo many these days have never learned common courtesy. It’s all about them and what they are entitled to have.
Lmao! "No fighting in thrift stores" Sounds like a new tshirt! I stood up for a lady in line recently and it could of gone worse. Suppose. After the rude guy left, 2 people even thanked me. People absolutely need to support each other, in the moment, social situations, especially against bullies. As usual-Much love! Yellie
Thank you so much Yvonne! I am older and enjoy the social aspect of thrifting. People can be rude and self centered. Love that you ; I'm sure extremely politely, distracted her. You are so kind, classy, and a joy to follow Thank you again!
Hey Yvon! I think most of your viewers feel the same way you do about petty people. We are attracted to your genuine kindness of others and your gentle spirit. I'm tired of seeing people treated rudely and especially the elderly! They deserve respect and kindness.
I am so glad you stood up and said something. I just subscribed to your channel and this is the first vid I’m watching and I was like, if she says something negative about those ladies I’m gonna unsubscribe. Yes, they’re just shopping, let’s be human beings with manners and respect, especially to our elderly!
Taking care of your dad will be one of the most rewarding things you have ever doneI took care of my mom for 30 years after my dad died and when she died, God gave me the greatest peace feeling I have ever had! You will receive a jewel in your crown❤️
Re-watching my favorite channels today and came upon this video. Thank you so, so, much Yvon, you crunchy lady you. Bless you for standing up in defense of good people not hurting anybody, just minding their own business and enjoying the day. You are the best.
Bravo to you for standing up for the elderly!! I have been a victim of elder abuse. I was called an old biddy because I told someone their truck back-end with a long ladder sticking out was dangerous for people on the sidewalk. Plus, my own daughter has abused me. The world has changed so much since we were young. 🌹
Yvon you're so sweet sticking up for that elderly lady and telling them about New Horizons. It probably made their day going there to a much calmer place. 💖💖👍
Hi Pop's!! Von I love that you have a great relationship with your dad..we only have one mom and dad so cherish every little moment and God bless you for standing up for that lady that's one good way to fire me up too is to see someone being mean or disrespectful to other people in general exp elderly..Much love and prayers for you and your sweet father too💯🙏🏼🥰🍀🍀🍀🦋🦋🦋💙💜💙💜💙💜
Thank you for stepping up for the elderly. I take care of my parents and admire you for taking care of your dad too. We all have to take rudeness out of the world the easiest way possible!! Speak up for those who can't!!!!
I feel sad for the elderly lady. She was probably having a really great time and her joy was stolen by rudeness! At that age, it is hard to recover and carry on. 😢
People should be respectful of elders! Give them love and respect! I agree they take longer to recover and it is really scary in the world today! Thank you Yvon!
Oh my gracious!! What is wrong with some folks?! Maybe that woman forgot her meds that day. Good for you sticking up for the older lady and her friend! You are a great example to others 💗

Well i have to say good on you for sticking up for those ladies how rude can people be to say something like that especially to an elderly lady good on you Yvonne
I love the shell basket 💕 That crystal fairy lamp is beautiful. The one that showed when you first started talking about the poor elderly lady. People are really collecting those fairy lamps 😃💕
I get a little crunchy when people make fun or talk rudely to my autistic son. I feel ya. It’s like Godzilla comes out of me. I never rush people, I just go around and look at other things. Good for you defending those ladies.
You were right to stand up to that rude lady. I took care of my parents, and they need support now more than ever. However, watch out girls when pops gets his teeth in! 🤣😄😁😅😄🤣 TFS
I love that there are people like you watching over those that need it at the thrift stores. Don’t mess with Yvon Y’all! She’s crunchy and can get downright saucy too! 🙂🙂🙂😜
Hello. I rarely post but I had to today. Your dad is looking good by the way. That Cross that he picked up is from Catholicism, my Mom and Dad had one. There are 2 rings intertwined on the cross for Marriage. Thank you for sharing your thrifting experience. Hope next time it's not that crazy. Stay safe and healthy. 🙏💛
You are so right getting upset with that woman!People can be so rude and someone should tell them off, really nicely! So they, maybe, understand the difference between the way they are being talked to and the way they talk to others!
I love it - Crunchy... followed by the rare Rae Dunn biscuit jar 🤣🤣🤣🤣... keep being you Yvon! I have such respect and always have for elderly folks. I'd have been in an altercation if that happened in front of me. Only 5'1" and typically reserved and quiet... but disrespect others in NOT OKAY! Why did she not just ask politely to get past the ladies???? Sheesh.
I would have bought the lighter and ashtray that was in the store were the woman was being rude. I have excellent luck with them.. (as a resaler) Also new sub here. ❤🌹
I'm glad you stuck up for that woman. As an elderly person she was doing nothing wrong and may have had her feelings hurt by being yelled at.. A simple "excuse me" would have gotten her to move and been more kind

You know we have to follow our heart. You have a large heart! Even crunchy, your heart was pure. Thank you for what you did.
You continue being real, friend. You were needed in that aisle. Sprinkle some fairy dust in the air as you pass by the craziness! 😍
Hi Yvon! Good on you for speaking up. Yay for remembering to pick up the gold orb geode for me! I'll email you. WOOTWOOT
!

You are wonderful Yvon!! ❤️❤️❤️
I would be “crunchy” too if that happened near me. Some people need to get the love of the Lord in their hearts and have some respect!!!! ❤️

Great haul. Boy would love to shop at your goodwills. Where I live, the blue carnival and the amber bowl would have been triple the price or more!
There is never an excuse for being rude to the elderly - you handled that situation perfectly! Thank you!
Love you stood up for our elderly people.

Your dad rocks! I just want to hug him he's so cute. 🤗
Thank you for your honesty. Manners are importent.👍
pickled baby corn and pickled okra are wonderful in salads
Oh my gracious!! What is wrong with some folks?! Maybe that woman forgot her meds that day. Good for you sticking up for the older lady and her friend! You are a great example to others 💗
You are the sweetest person. Stay sweet and stay strong! Love ya.
I love that you got crunchy! Gotta respect the elderly! And exactly, "what is your excuse?!" That is just so on point.
Dad saying hi to the ladies.. " wait till he gets his teeth!!" 🤣😂🤣💀☠
Ahhh Yvonne you just had me crackin up so many times this video. 😄😘💛
Thanks for standing up for us old people
🤣🤣🤣🤣 hey I’m a senior citizen now too 😜😉
At New Horizons they had one of those fold up wood baskets that people love n they sell good too.
Well done speaking up in a kind way supporting the ladies❤️👍🏼
As someone who tends to be too impatient with people, this video was really good for me to see as a reminder. Good for you, Yvonne
Yvon your such a kind lady! ❤️❤️❤️
You were right to stand up for the 2 elderly ladies. Some people just have no manners.
I worked in a retail store, where one of the big "rules" was "Respect for the Individual." There was a coworker, that was always nice, but for some reason everyone picked on him. I overheard it one day, in the back room, and I just got peeved. I honestly said to them all, "Hey, leave him alone. What happened to respect for the individual?" That shut the bullies up pretty quick honestly. You have to shut them up; no one else will.
😎 Oh Lord sometimes office politics are even worse
Not sure if anyone else told you. The rainbow candle is from Germany. Verizierte (decorated) Kerze (candle) :)
Thank you for being a real Mensch!
That was a Rae Dunn in his formative years lol
🤣🤣 I probably left a couple grand sitting on the shelf
I just got my mom “skis” for her walker and she swears by them! They sell them at any medical supply store…definitely worth checking out. We used tennis balls for year but she thinks these work way better!
that beautiful southwest vase was a Betty Selby
I am so glad you stood up for her. The audacity and insensitivity of some people and especially towards elderly people. I hope she gets to be very old and find out what that feels like. KARMA. I would have had a few choice words for her.
Omg your so good .thank you for sticking up for older people. Some need to have respect..great show today like always ...colorado girl
You are a great daughter to your dad. 💕Love the art nouveau lady bookends!!
I can’t stand it when people are mean to the elderly. Good for you. Standing up for her.
Love that Mexican pot and the mug at the end. 💕
Wait, what, did I pass up a fairy lamp??
I get a little crunchy when people make fun or talk rudely to my autistic son. I feel ya. It’s like Godzilla comes out of me. I never rush people, I just go around and look at other things. Good for you defending those ladies.
You can be crunchy all you want, you are still the super sweetest person! :)
The Smith bowl is beautiful.
I think you did the right thing by standing up for the elderly. We all get there someday.
I love that you stuck up for the lady. People need to be more respectful of the elderly and less rude and self centred.
I think we all are able to get crunchy ! I would have done the same thing because I am tired of people being mean. So you go Yvon !!!💜💜💜
At 743 mark was an absolute gorgeous lead crystal footed globe vase,,,i it looked to be cut ,,,,i was surprised you didn’t get this one ☝️
You were right to stand up to that rude lady. I took care of my parents, and they need support now more than ever. However, watch out girls when pops gets his teeth in! 🤣😄😁😅😄🤣 TFS
Hi Yvon,
10:50 The Candle is German. It translates to Decorated Candle.
💚 Thank you Heidi
I like your crunchy side! LOL 🤣 you go girl, stand up for what is right!
I love that there are people like you watching over those that need it at the thrift stores. Don’t mess with Yvon Y’all! She’s crunchy and can get downright saucy too! 🙂🙂🙂😜
I love you are willing to repair nice things!
Nice that you use multiple selling platforms so your size and weight of items isn’t limited
Hi Yvon ❤️🌹Love you & your channel! Fun 🛍 with you & yes you did the right thing with that rude person 👍 So nice of you to stick up for them!
Yvon am soooo with you ..... dont ever be rude to the elderly they will soon be there
I had that lamp got it about 18 years ago at walmart
So it’s a reproduction it’s almost vintage again 🤣🤣🤣
I love it - Crunchy... followed by the rare Rae Dunn biscuit jar 🤣🤣🤣🤣... keep being you Yvon! I have such respect and always have for elderly folks. I'd have been in an altercation if that happened in front of me. Only 5'1" and typically reserved and quiet... but disrespect others in NOT OKAY! Why did she not just ask politely to get past the ladies???? Sheesh.
Your the best …. Girl stand up for the ladies
Great video Yvon 👏 I have been missing your video. I just love seeing your Dad. 🤗
Thanks for sharing.
That Mexican (I’m assuming because he’s wearing a Mexican wedding shirt) couple is amazing!!! Maybe a wedding cake decoration ??
Thank you for your thoughts on that I appreciate it
I would have bought the lighter and ashtray that was in the store were the woman was being rude. I have excellent luck with them.. (as a resaler) Also new sub here. ❤🌹
💚 thank you for the tip and thank you for subscribing
I'm glad you stuck up for that woman. As an elderly person she was doing nothing wrong and may have had her feelings hurt by being yelled at.. A simple "excuse me" would have gotten her to move and been more kind
