We see Felix lose ALOT and still get an interview when it’s girls who are winning these races not getting coverage and nobody knowing who they are for this very reason. Kendall Ellis is a track legend in her own right too! I respect Felix but it’s bogus.
@@Jaysg0tti Kendall Ellis is a good athlete, but she is not a legend on the track. What can you do about it? People love Felix for MANY reasons: She was the first athlete to become pro from school. She had success on it. She was the first teenager to become a world champion in the sprints (over the 200 in 2005). She became the first female athlete to have three consecutive world tittles (2005,2007,2009). Felix is one of the VERY FEW athletes to offered herself to be tested more times and more frequently than any other athlete(in the project Believe). NOT MANY track stars would dare to do that. Only two athletes have made the Olympics US Team over the 100,200 and 400 meters(Felix is one). Felix has reached the individual podium in every main championship since 2004(except in 2013 when she suffered an injury in a final, and 2019 when she got pregnant). There is so much more about Felix ON and OFF the track that make people fall in love with her.
The media coverage absolutely sucks sometimes .. you see Ellis win but the focus gets pinned on Allyson Felix (and they did this ALOT during trials)
Felix made the team there. Ellis did not. Felix is a legend ON and OFF the track.
