Your hotel introduction video is truly remarkable. Your attention to detail, including the floor layout and recommended room selections, is commendable. I eagerly anticipate your upcoming reviews of the Four Seasons and Capella hotels. Excellent work, keep it up!

very nice! did you get a chance to try The China House restaurant there? I've walked by the area many times and it always looks so nice. I like the traditional thai style, but as a resident of Bangkok, I think it would feel a little weird checking into a hotel here lol. And as I checked, it's around 750 USD/night :o

Unluckily, when I visit the hotel, the China house was temporarily closed🥲 It's also famous among korean tourists for its decent mood and food👍 In Korea, many people visit hotel even though they live here. Ofcourse it's same city but people can feel like, they are traveling! That's one of the reason I like to visit hotel, too.

This hotel does not meet the Mandarin Oriental standards unfortunately. It's cool because of the history, but you will find better Mandarin Oriental hotels around the world. I would take the Four Seasons / Park Hyatt any day over that hotel in BKK.
    But great review

I had a booking here and just cancelled it. All the restaurants have me use that offer very little fish and vegetarian dishes. Even the few dishes that are on offer, have added crustaceans. Then there is the issue of having no a la crate. Bit fixed price and fixed menu. On top of all that they expect a non refundable deposit for a booking. I emailed as asked about our diet restrictions and the reply didn’t address my issues, but was generic in tone. Half of the seasonal places are closed. I did look up the Italian restaurant, it was fully booked on the Friday we are staying, but it is simply ridiculous to charge $166.00 Australian dollars for an entree of Risotto! Not even with air shipped truffles. Gee I could eat on one of the 7 hills of Rome served by a genuine Italian waiter with hand made pasta and get tow dishes for this. Stupid prices and bad menus, we will now stay at The Siam. Which has many vegetarian and fish options

God why does it command such prices?? Looks so damn normal with the ugly toilet sink

Try $116.00 Australian dollars for a small vegetarian entree of Risotto! I cancelled my reservation just because of this outrageous price.
