      @ersbit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh sorry to hear that. I know you said you broke it( is it bent or completely broke in two). Is your ring red? If yes I might be able to send you the one I have because I will be doing a new video to replace the whole back and frame instead of glass only. A solution à little bit expensive but with better results.
      I can try to find a link online for your rings ( what device is it iphone 11 / 12)?

      Do you need one like I have in this video? or you want something else/ Getting a back glass "official" will be difficult only from able but they do not sell individual parts like that as far as I know. I go this one from ebay or amazon. I do have some links in the description.

    I’ve seen other videos showing them taking out the cameras battery & motherboard before repairing the back glass.. is that a must or no?

    • @ersbit
      @ersbit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They do that most of the time when they laser the back first to make it easier to remove the glass. You can do it without removing anything like I did in this video. If you want to remove all components ifs better to just replace the whole back and have a new body.
      For me it's not a must this was done without any damage to the components. Just it's a painful long process lol

    Hi. Can I use a hairdryer instead of a heat gun?

    • @ersbit
      @ersbit  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hairdryer cannot work with iPhone back glass. The heat output is too low. Heatgun would burn a hair a Hairdryer would not even at max.

    • @ersbit
      @ersbit  ปีที่แล้ว

      You'd have to try the low setting or low power first. If you see nothing happens move one step up in power level and see how it does. I start in the low and went to high to actually work faster. My heatgun is very typical it costed 15$

    Do you use the adhesive that came with it? It looked like you took it back off. About to replace the glass on one in about a week.

    • @ersbit
      @ersbit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I tried that adhesive (came with the kits), but did not trust it because it should cover the whole surface of the back cover to be very sticky/solid. So I used the liquid glue B7000 to seal the back of the iPhone. That glue works better it is similar to what apple used but a little bit softer. If you get a tape that cover everything you can go with it or combien both. Tape on the edge and B7000 in the internal surface.

    • @ersbit
      @ersbit  ปีที่แล้ว

      This can be very expensive. Maybe $200 or $300. If they have a laser machine it might be cheaper but still very expensive compared to maybe $50 you spent if you want to do it yourself

    If I don’t have a heat gun what else can I use? Is a blow drier good or no??

    • @yahel_2008
      @yahel_2008 ปีที่แล้ว

      No porque no tiene la temperatura necesaria para poder llegar a derretir el pegamento

    • @ersbit
      @ersbit  ปีที่แล้ว

      A Hairdryer is too weak and will not do it. The low setting on my heatgun is already hotter than a high on common Hairdryer. I accomplish this with high setting on my heatgun 70% of the time I worked on this device.

    Nothing like the iPhone 12 - the iPhone 12 has MagSafe magnets and is much more tricky.

    • @ersbit
      @ersbit  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you accidentally remove the magnets you will just need the glue any kind to have all of them ligned around the charging coil (that's the only complication I can see arising while doing this repair on a 12 or 12 mini

    I recently got the back glass of my iphone 12 fixed and since then the battery life has been horrible, used to last up to 2 days now it dies in a matter of hours, is battery damage possible from this?

    • @ersbit
      @ersbit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I will say yes and no. If the person replacing the back use a laser or did what I did in the video there is no battery manipulation so that case NO.
      If he repaired the back by replacing the entire housing + back that can damage the battery because he would have to remove and reinstall the battery so YES in this case.
      My next video is the back/housing replacement for the iPhone people will better understanding how the process is.
