We are missing "POCKET" which is basically a whole in the rock. We looked for one but couldn't find a classic pocket in Joshua Tree! If you can only fit one or two fingers in the pocket, the middle finger is often used as it is the strongest. Be mindful of your fingers' pulley tendons with hard, small pockets or crimps. Warming up properly helps preventing an annoying injury.
Thanks for the intro! I wonder what one can do to get used to rough Joshua Tree granite? It was pretty painful after just 2 days of climbing. Does JT has smoother granite?
Maybe fix the spelling of "slopper" to "sloper". Minor point. Overall, I think your videos are really, really well done... the videography, the graphics, the information--all super-excellent. I also appreciate how many special tips and tricks are included in a lot of your videos (especially those related to rope management, belays, etc.)--cool little techniques to make things easier. Thanks for your efforts and your smooth, relaxed, friendly, and to-the-point teaching style!!
