The flex bodies remind me of the old Tutti and Todd dolls. While they were fun to begin with, it didn't take long for wires inside to break and/or poke through. Have been leary of soft linbed dolls since then
I LOVE the made-to-moves, but there’s one thing missing that older dolls had: A TWIST AND TURN WAIST! Like I’m sorry clearly it’s not that posable if you can’t twist the waist. The upper torso articulation doesn’t even twist it’s just side to side and back and forth. I actually loved the ever-flex waists that didn’t last long at all because people didn’t like the material as it seemed to attract dust and dirt and peeled. Though in concept it was a great compromise between belly button which people bitched about for YEARS “rawr Barbie needs a belly button!” 🙄 and the classic twist and turns. If we could take the made-to-move arms and legs and put them on a modified TNT with upper torso articulation that would be EVERYTHING for me!
I’ve always wanted Mattel to make a made to move ken in the slim body type in different skin tones but thanks to you I now know about the sha-rah bow for caramel skin tones
I used the new made to move Brooklyn’s body as a donor for Fashionista 180 (Tall girl, blonde afro). It’s a very good match and she looks great with an athletic build!
I have a small Ken collection and add to it from time to time, so I’d like to see a petite Ken body for the petite Kens I own. Other than that, what I’d like to see, more than different body types, is for Mattel to sell M2M bodies in a wider variety of skin tones for collectors to “upgrade” their dolls, similar to what’s done with FR and Licca Chan. The collecting community is small, but a lot of us like to customize, and it would be nice if maybe they did this through their Barbie Signature club. I’d pay $10 a year to have access to stuff like this!
They have ‘create your own’ CYO for American Girl dolls - there’s no reason why Mattel couldn’t also do it for Barbie dolls. I’m sure collectors would pay the premium price for a OOAK doll.
Nice video!! Beautifull Brooklyn!!! The flex barbie is scary 😁😁😁. But all the dolls in the shelves??? I want a tour please. A video tour from your collection!
This is very entertaining video where you contrast made to move to that bendy creature of the past. When I was a kid I had a living Barbie with click and bend legs, arms and twist and turn waist. She looked great. A body builder Barbie? Bring her on!
This was such an informative video. The original Brooklyn on a made to move body is my mini me Barbie. I was interested to see how she would look on the more athletic new body. Anyway, flying over to target after work and hopefully she is there. We are doing a little body swapping this afternoon! LOL✨😍✨😍✨
Yay for normal foot size. She needs all the shoes. I had that head on the June MTM purple yoga. And new MTM is keeping her Brooklyn head. I have an everflex Theresa, because her outfit etc was awesome (blue).
In 2003, you could buy Obtisu & Volks bodies from Japan which were pretty much made to move. The Volks bodies were either too loose or too tight and difficult to pose.
Yeah not only do I want a yoga Ken without wheelchair that I have to wonder what do with 20 wheelchairs... I want curvy or skinny mtm Ken too! I am happy at least we have the buff. Also no I want more barbie type skin tone matches. I want petite in the yoga series too.
LOVE the thicc Brooklyn MTM body! (And she didn't look pixelated to me.) Immediately looked for her on Amazon but she wasn't listed, sigh. As for the flex Christie: I have several seamless Phicen figures, so her bendy body didn't freak me out, lol. Loved her sculpt and accessories!
I like the no joint/seam doll. I don’t think it would be suitable for play but it would be great for pictures or for someone to repaint the face to look photorealistic.
I had the cheerleader flex barbie as a little girl. I remember using the Velcro a lot on her uniform and as far as im aware the wire joints never got damaged
Thank you for comparing the two body types. The new type won’t be able to wear vintage fashions, but the modern clothes should be fine for her (2016 and newer).
I never did a body swap on My first Brooklyn. I accidentally got the one sings the song from the movie she has the braids. I like that so I just kept her in the body. The second Brooklyn was the dancer. She had an extra body. It was advertised with ankle joints. Target gave her to me for free. I used the made to move Brooklyn as the body for Defa Lucy.
I have got this Christie, I love her face but her body is so scary😅 I have a conservative mindset so I don't rebody unless I have doubles, but I'd love to make her made to move, her make up is so pretty The pants on mine are aged too
I would like to see MTM Stacie Chelsea and skipper dolls with diverse skin tones and sizes (toned, slim, curvy, broad etc.) I would like to see the dad bod on Ken and a tall ken
Gumby dolls always freaked me out, and once bent, you can never get them to look right again. I mostly just sew for or display dolls, so posability isn't a big deal for me: I want easy to dress, easy to stand. One thing I never hear younger collectors talking about when they get all wistful for bend and snap knees is how difficult it was to get pants or boots on these soft, grippy bodies. We always kept a bottle of talcum powder in our toy box just to help get clothes on our dolls. I think the only thing worse than this style gumby body is the Dramatic Living gumby arms - they never worked for long and looks so freaky. It would be cool if they brought back the Busy Hands so dolls could grip stuff, though! I have never liked the curvy body - it just has bad proportions and is hard to dress nicely as the waist is so high. I wish they would do a more voluptuous curvy, with a waist and boobs. I'd also like more athletic bodies, and even bodies like the old Dusty doll by Kenner - the first doll I owned that I thought was built like a real person.
Did you see the prices silicone bodies? I like those bodies a lot, specially because you can get body types Mattel doesn’t do with bigger thighs, bust and hips but slim waist. I just don’t think a Barbie head would look good on them. They pose great though. There’s a proper metal ball jointed frame in the silicone, so they pose naturally.
Im so confused about this Christie. I have the Teresa from that Line and her Hair has texture. Its like Micro Crimps but even smaller. It would have make more sense to give this Texture to Christie. Articulation wise im ok with the first Fashionistas Articulation. I like the Made to Move Bodys but the Joints are to visible.
Made to move Barbies are the best thing Mattel has come up with this century 💗
The flex bodies remind me of the old Tutti and Todd dolls. While they were fun to begin with, it didn't take long for wires inside to break and/or poke through. Have been leary of soft linbed dolls since then
i, for one, would like to see a MTM Superstar-era body type.

We always see your shelf in the background. I would love to see your collection. I don't wanna beg but I will 😅😅😅

Happy Leap Year. If Mattel made a Made To Move Brooklyn with the Burnette Soccer Player, or Purple Top skintone that would be awesome.
Nice video!! Beautifull Brooklyn!!! The flex barbie is scary 😁😁😁. But all the dolls in the shelves??? I want a tour please. A video tour from your collection!
The thing is Mattel already has a made to move buff female body. It was used on the SDCC exclusive She-Ra doll. But it has not been used ever since.
The She-ra doll body is not a Made to move
I’m just loving the new MTM body type! I’ve gotten a few of them myself. I would love to see a classic original (superstar/ TNT) MTM body.
I actually haven't changed the heads to any of my Made To Move. I mainly got Looks dolls.
Made to move is my fave Barbie body!
OMG I would love a petite yoga Barbie ❤
Or an athletic petite body. For you can have a gunmast doll.
This is very entertaining video where you contrast made to move to that bendy creature of the past. When I was a kid I had a living Barbie with click and bend legs, arms and twist and turn waist. She looked great.

I love the braids !
You look great in that tshirt ❤❤❤

Yay!!! You and Timothy are making my week

I like to call these the Lava Lamp wave

I would love of they broad Ken would get a Made to Move version. And the Muscular Body should e used in Playline.
It's analog horror Barbie!
I definitely have wanted an mtm body for my original Brooklyn, so I will be doing the same thing as you and switching their bodies.
The flex type body is the body Mattel used for the DC Supergirl, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn.
I would love to see Model Muse made to move body. :)
I like the no joint/seam doll. I don’t think it would be suitable for play but it would be great for pictures or for someone to repaint the face to look photorealistic.
I truly honestly need to know where you got brooklyns blue skirt from lol
I had the cheerleader flex barbie as a little girl. I remember using the Velcro a lot on her uniform and as far as im aware the wire joints never got damaged
I really want the slim ken.
The rubber body is weird...I want one tho. Just as curious thing that they made.
Thank you for comparing the two body types. The new type won’t be able to wear vintage fashions, but the modern clothes should be fine for her (2016 and newer).
Fluff seems to stick to the flexi bodies, any tips to revent this without damaging the body.
not the chola sharpie eyebrows 😂😭
Enigma of Amigara Fault Barbie!
I can't believe they did Brooklyn 😊 I definitely got her! ❤
I never did a body swap on My first Brooklyn. I accidentally got the one sings the song from the movie she has the braids. I like that so I just kept her in the body. "sleep paralysis demon" hahaha! Fun video.
I’ve been waiting on Mattel to create a mtm slim Ken. Not all men are built like classic or buff Ken.
I hope the have a wave 2 of the new mtm dolls. We need a classic tan skin tone, or don't stop producing the older waves with that body.
I have got this Christie, I love her face but her body is so scary😅
I have a conservative mindset so I don't rebody unless I have doubles, but I'd love to make her made to move, her make up is so pretty

Its 6:30 am in Germany and im about to go to school. But first LET WATCH SOME BARBIE 💀❤️
I bought 3 Brooklyn and 3 curvy 😅
The 2000 is spooky. Who is the blacck barbie in your background
🤗♥️🧚🏿♥️🤗♥️

I will always so badly hope they come out with the belly button body in mtm one day

I'm fine with exposed joints but I prefer less of them than Made to Move has
Mattel's goal back then and even now: a doll shouldn't have joints to be seen
SORRY BUT YOU ARE SO FREAKING GOOD LOOKING. I HATE I AM MARRIED.
Actually they did give us four...a red headed girl.
Wait, so is the one u just opened kristi or brooklyn?
Im so confused about this Christie. I have the Teresa from that Line and her Hair has texture. Its like Micro Crimps but even smaller. It would have make more sense to give this Texture to Christie.

I'd love a barbie that is chubbier than the curvy barbie
I thought you edited the thumbnail I did not expect her too look like a spaghetti
i have that flexible doll atsone point😁 i destroyed it 😁
Delete this if necessary! I'm looking for a person from the US that could ship the Brooklyn made to move doll to me in Finland❤
Call me crazy... But I prefer this lol I just really miss OLD Barbie 😭
