- The Adventures of Conan: A Sword and Sorcery Spectacular was an attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood that ran from 1983 to 1993
This is a family video taken in 1992
The music. The water curtain. The lighting. The special effects. Everything about this show truly changed my life as a kid. I remember every small detail about the show and theatre.
All the same as what you said, I totally agree.
As it was for me. I want to bring back live stunt shows like this.
@@NoirTech83 were you in the show or had some involvement with it?
@@davidmurphy3649 lol no I was a kid, but I am currently a film maker with professional wrestling and stunt experience, and the traditional movie business model is going away. Live entertainment is making a comeback because it can't be bootlegged. I plan on developing something like this in the next two years or so, like gladiator combat but with all kinds of crazy characters, mixed with video footage on giant screens. I have the right people needed, just have to finish the movie I am working on now, then create a business plan. The Marvel and DC live shows were very disappointing to me, nothing compares to the Conan and T2-3D shows.
@@davidmurphy3649 I do have a video of me posing with Conan, I was 5 years old, maybe the most important childhood experience I ever had!
I was there in 1992 for a school trip out of state. We were at Universal Studios for only one day of that trip. I think I ended up seeing this live action performance 3 times that day. I loved it so much as a 14 year old from a small town and going to California for the first time. Thank you so much for posting this.
Wow, this was my childhood times when I watched this live Conan show. Miss this kind of Universal Studios Hollywood.
I grew up with Conan as my hero and I saw this when I was 5 years old. When they asked for an audience member to come on stage my dad was picked, as a kid, nothing beats your dad with Conan!!! Crom!!
Christ, I remember this when I was a boy visiting Universal in the 80' s. By Crom! It was such a cool attraction!
One of the reason I used to love Universal Studios in Hollywood.
This, Star Tours and Captain EO were my favorite old school experiences.
I remember this show, it was incredible. When the stone was calling "come to me" the whole theatre was rumbling with bass. Such an awesome experience from my childhood.
Thank you for posting this, I always cried watching the effects of this. Groundbreaking!
One of their BEST shows! I remember this as a kid!
Beautiful theatre from sword and sorcery! Nothing best i see, and thanks very much!
Only three others share this secret.
Sonja and her voice is extrabeautiful ! To victory! Power of Crom! Scenes for Manowar and Golden Axe too.
this show was totally bad ass
This was fun to watch..
I was impressed by the wired sword transformation, as I often try to visualize my He-Man and She-Ra movie storyboards as theatre works. I guess I keep thinking that I will never get my movies made, but maybe one day I would figure out a cheap way to do it on stage.
Love this show. Seen it so much when I was younger.
by the power of Crom....he became Ho-Nan the most powerful barbarian in the universe
This set, including the dragon, were used in a music video by Yngwie Malmsteen called “I’ll See The Light Tonight”.
I remember this!!
Nice to see not a single phone....
They should bring it back
For who? Just you? Barely anyone knows Conan The Barbarian anymore
Phunky Phantom wow what a tool
I am with you!!!! Bring back the Conan Show!!!!

Manowar had to have seen this show and made a band out of it.
Yeees , to Manowar is ok scene
Sonja! To victory!!
By the Crom !
Battletime! Victory! Kill the enemies !!
Hi Killie81! Thanks for sharing this great video! I'm putting together a TH-cam Video on the history of Universal Hollywood. Would it be possible to include a couple clips from your video (with credit)?
By the power of Greyskull.... I mean Crom!
lol, yeah that part was a total He-man ripoff, but the show itself was a fun watch.
Wow,, this is so interactive is it...is it 4D?
Boy, I'm glad I was spared the agony of watching this live.
ok - The music was NOT this loud. This video is totally obnoxious!!
cheap cameras do not pick up sound accurately
