Love watching "Tohoh" human wreaking ball, so valuable to NSW, irreplaceable really. Tough, strong, willing, slippery. Some now iconic players in NSW Origin now. He's one of them.
Freddy won his first two and was flying but then he lost one and he talked about how the loss affects you sleep for months. This is what Billy has to look forward to.

A lot of critics are eating their words today after saying Madge’s hiring was wrong because he’d never played for NSW. The guy showed in 1 series more than Fitler and Laurie did by getting all the old boys into camp and showing the players what it’s meant to be a Blue! Couldn’t be happier for Madge! Pround to be a NS welshman this morning. I think a lot of Qlds poor interchange choices was because Billy was in panic mode and stressed. They went in thinking that playing at home would be all they needed to get the win and boy were they wrong. You could see it last night when they showed shots of the coaches box Billy was a nervous wreck, paceing around meanwhile Mag was calm and collected

@@1362pc All undone by a monumental win. NSW were handicapped from the first game with an instant loss, and still won the decider in QLD.
Most satisfying thing was that previous wins in deciders in Brisbane were pretty comfortable: better side simply clicking on the night. Last night they had to fight the entire way against a Qld side who turned up ready to play another classic Qld game - if Qld wins it would have been one of THEIR best performances. Well deserved win
Next year QLD will have the big guys back that they sorely missed...Tino, Flegler, Gilbert and Munster. Some Qld players have played their last match

The big mistake QLD made not mentioned was swapping Hunt and Grant around. It worked so well over the years as a master stoke NSW couldn`t handle. But Harry was drained after the all the tackling early and always was going to be, and dont know what happened with Ben, maybe lost confidence at being moved, or the timing of when he was put on was wrong. It mIghtnd have made the key difference but definitely hurt them bad..
Slater picking his team based solely on personal opinion is going to hurt QLD. He clearly doesn't like David Fafita and has an unhealthy fixation on Reece Walsh. Walsh's speed doesn't compensate for his softness and lack of experience, as proven by his unimpressive performances in big games. For example, in last year's Grand Final, Walsh basically handed Cleary the winning try. Additionally, anyone watching the NRL this year would know that Reed Mahoney should be chosen over Harry Grant, who has played average all year. Mahoney is playing at his best, plus, he's an A-grade smart ass who consistently gets under the skin of key players, making him perfect for Origin.

I woke up in QLD 18th. The best feeling. My blues flag will fly the whole two months I'm here. QLD always go the grub when the chips are down. QLD should never boo DCE. He is the perfect gentleman in real life. Was on a plane with him, and he greeted everyone so patiently and respectfully that wanted to say hello to him. Shame on those QLD's for booing him.
He wasn't getting booed by the Qld supporters. It would've been the Blatchley's Blues. The stadium was just about empty, by the time presentations had started.
Qld remind me of the Pommy cricket team. They do all this dog act stuff in previous series & previous games going back years but when it's given back they whinge, cry & carry on about "the spirit of the game", like during the Ashes. Qld didn't use those exact words but the way DCE was demanding, not talking but demanding to Ash Klein this, that & everything else, like some former Qld captains aka Cam Smith, just shows the frustration level of not being able to control the ref, control the game & can't hack what they've dealt out to NSW for years
Madge was the difference, lets hope he coaches the Blues for a few years. Yes agreed Ponga should have been on much earlier and in the centres instead of Gagai.

QLD lost this series because Slater got his selections wrong. NSW were the bigger team and had way more depth off the bench. Capewell playing in front of Fifita was a ridiculous decision.
I'll never forget a story MG told back in the day where he put his dirty, bare feet up on the seat in front of him in the cinema. The poor bloke in the seat next to his bare, rancid feet asked him to move them away from his face and MG git the shits about it.

re watch it. qld got back into the game off 2 x 6 agains then cherry evans kicked on 3rd ( shit kick ) then got 3 piggy back penalties next 3 sets. from 50th to 60th minute.

@@turrafirmaguitarchannel Absolutely ridiculous, I couldnt believe the ref actually tried for a penalty try, but looking back, only 5 mins to go and they needed one. So, claiming ref was on NSW side is BS. That ref also ignored several infringements on NSW kickers, especially M Moses.
