Cheers mate👍. Really enjoyed that video…taking us back in time to another world. Loved stopping it and cross checking in google maps to see how much it’s all changed. Also pity we couldn’t go back & bring the ticket inspectors back to this time? Those guys were frightening & took no prisoners lol.😃👍💙(for Baxter’s buses)💙
This is fantastic a lot of childhood memories remember the garage in Gartlea, was the first garage in railway rd just along from Coatdyke Station, Thanks for the upload
Thanks for this, my father-in-law was a driver with Baxter's and latterly an Inspector during the early seventies. He would have loved this. My Mother in Law was also a clippie probably during the fifties early sixties.
Thanks for uploading this. My Grandpa was a bus driver on Baxter's buses...possibly late 50's and during the 60's. He sometimes drove the Kirkwood/kirkshaws/Old Monkland routes. Was trying so hard to see if I could recognise him driving any of the buses here but the cabs are too dark to see ! Amazing to see old Coarbridge and Airdrie too.
How many pupils went to Rochsolloch Primary. 7 buses? That's a lot. And why did we get rid of the trams. Madness. I lived in POlains 60 years ago so it was mainly Eastern Scottish for us, although I do recall a Baxters bus that also went to Longriggend and beyond.

Wow, poor grammar. Not only did you not capitalise EVERY word in the title, but you do not need a full stop in it.
