My boy use to follow me when I vacuumed and meow at me until I vacuumed him. I had to make sure I got all of him or he would keep meowing until I did.

Our black cat, Duncan, is the most mellow, people-loving lap cat in existence. He's been with us 15 years, and has always been a gentle, cuddly love-muffin.
My boy cat (an actual sibling to my female cat) is so laid back, friendly and easygoing but when he REALLY wants something he works so hard to annoy me l eventually give in. He is usually thoughtful. At bedtime he aligns himself with the wall giving me plenty of room to rest. She sleeps on her sleepytime chair. They are both smart, gentle and lovable. You'd never think they started out as feral kittens on my porch.
Yeah i can believe that my feral pair were better than the 2 brought cats i have now and their twins i miss Murphy and Gracie😢

My old girl was treated rough for the first 2 years. She took 30 days to start making up to us. She's 10 now and owns us!
I have a calico cat. Like most calicos she's a female and very skittish (OCD). i bought her a tray, set on an angle, where she can do her claws. On one side it is a straight incline on the other it is wavy. She loves the straight side and will not touch the wavy side. At dinner time l have to follow her with her dish while she decides WHERE she will eat. She has different places, some of them hidden, where she hangs out.
Your calico cat sounds like she has quite the personality! It's interesting how particular she is about her scratching preferences and her dining spots. The fact that she has you following her around at dinner time until she finds the perfect spot is both amusing and endearing🐱🌈💕
I read back in 1962 that ALL calico cats are always FEMALE from a little booklet I ordered from PURINA CAT CHOW! However, I love all CATS no matter their "gender"! Hope I don't get in trouble for using "gender"...LOL! Your kitty sounds absolutely fantastic!!
My female Kitten is so sweet, playful & cleans our oldest Male Cat ( roughly 12-13yrs old ). She literally wraps her arms around his neck, so she can get under his chin &/or she’ll lay on his back while he’s laying down & clean the top of his head + his ears. It’s like she’s saying, “sit still, I’m almost done!” 😂 It cracks me up!
When she enters my room, her tails straight up & she does a little “meow meow” but it sounds like she’s saying it as if meow starts with an R. It’s like her way of saying hey, it’s me! She jumps on my back to get too my Cereal. If I go to sip something, she’ll push the cup down so she can get a lick &/or investigate. Never had a cat like her b4 💕

My cat "Sweetie" is skittish, independent, outgoing, avoidant, and spontaneous, She's a Tortie, so Female, and was a stray when we rescued her, so a traumatic history as a scrappy beggar.

It's not uncommon for rescue cats, especially those with a history of being strays, to exhibit a mix of skittishness and independence. It's wonderful that you've given her a safe and loving environment where she can express her outgoing and spontaneous side. I like to adopt senior cats, sadly I lost my previous cat to cancer in the middle of the year. But when I was emotionally ready I adopted a new 16 year old tortie.
My previous cat, Arthur totally scored high on every scale presented here.
But my new cat, Trixie is totally at the opposite end of the spectrum.
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Arthur. Losing a beloved pet is always hard, and it's wonderful that you gave him a loving home in his senior years. It's incredibly kind-hearted of you to adopt senior cats, who often get overlooked in shelters.
It's fascinating how different Trixie is from Arthur. Each cat truly has its own unique personality and way of expressing itself. @@Feline_Fanatics Thank you for your empathy. But trust me if you had known Arthur, hearing that news would have left you gutted. He was the friendliest cat you have ever met, and that's not just me saying that. Everyone who met him was amazed by how friendly he was, even strangers who only met him in passing.
Now I'm living with a sweet old lady cat who doesn't have a mean bone in her body.
This made me understand how extreme my sphynx cat is! He is super friendly, not afraid of anything, very spontaneus and basically act like a kitten in many ways even though he is 4 years old. When we got a dog he made him his best friend very quickly and they play so hard.
I'm still learning my cat's personality after just over 2 months of living with her .With me she is becoming confident ,outgoing ,vocal and often friendly .With the world in general she is skittish ,afraid of unknown people or loud noises ,quick to run and hide .She has a high energy / play drive so needs to be played with several times a day .I think it will be a while before her full personality is clear, since she's only a year old and still settling after a fairly traumatic past .

I have a new cat who is almost 5 months old. She is a tabby and I would describe her as fearless, playful and affectionate. She is a joy and I am so glad I adopted her!
My cats are always usually out and about with tails held high.
Killiah likes to chase the mop and hide in wait, lol, to attack it. He really believes the mop is an adversary. He also is very attentive when the fire trucks come pulsating down my block. He will either go to the window or stop at attention and listen until the noise descends.
My cat is on the skittish side but has grown more confident over time. He’s also laid back and that’s okay. He does greet me at the door and follow me around and likes to cuddle after mealtime.

She follows us around everywhere, but will bolt if something is unfamiliar or if she thinks we want to touch her. "Im going to follow you around, but you dont touch me"!.
Hungry cats are friendly cats
My two run when the vacuum comes on. But horns, sirens, loud music from neighbors they don’t pay attention. My girl is skittish if someone comes to visit. She runs. Her brother is the greeter. Every July 4th across the street fireworks go on that shoot above the houses across the street. Both go to the window and watch. Firecrackers set off by the kids around don’t phase either of them.
Mine spent every Independence Day in my bed. They were strictly indoor.
All 3 of my fixed male cats are very different from each other, I love that😻😺

My two have six big boxes they can jump into, a flat open box with their toys and two paper bags they like going into and crunching. They both like my pots and pans cupboard I call their cupboard condo.

Each of my Cats have the 5 Personality Types but this Categorizations helped me so much to see/lnow each of their Dominant Personality. Thank you for ❤- work for us Cat Lovers.
If I get some new furniture my cat rubs against it to put his scent on it. If possible he scratches it a bit, just to let it be a part of his house, and show us that it’s OK. As we got new bedroom closets he just needed a little tour inside them to check if it was OK. He still need a tour sometimes to see if all is in order, so we open the doors for him, where we lived before he could open them himself but these are new and harder doors. He’s a calm kitty and think he is the boss. We let him live in that faith, because he is amazing 😻
Very good video...however; I classify my "Baby Girl" as being a (LOVEY DOVEY KITTY-CAT)! She pulled a towel from the bathroom 3 days ago and made herself a little "nest" on the floor next to my bed! When I got up I almost stepped on her...she let me know she was there with her "mmrpp"! She's quite the CAT! Thank you for the great video!!!
Every single trait i was like yeah kennedy is a bit of both for example he is dominate tail held high but he sleeps in the corners sometimes on the back of the couch but mostly on a stool in my room

My cat is almost middle of the road in every trait.
I would say alot also depends on the cat age like my female cat used to be more on the skitish side but she is entering the senior phase at 11 years old and is more clingy and less nervous of new ppl while my male cat used to be a more dominant type getting in fights going to mark and patrole teritory outside now he is 14 and more laid back and he just sleeps alot

I have two recuse cats, and both are so diferent to each other. Koko is very much sacluded, she likes to hide in my wardrobe cupboard but enjoys getting fusses when i go up to her or in the night, shes very much an indoor cat too and not a fan of people. Remi seems to always hit the the middle spots of these trates he loved his sleep but also guve him a lazer dot and he zooms around xD He can also enjoy chasing his sister or zooming around the house.
ive recently seemee to of adopted a naughbours cat xD and boy is she a pocket rocket.
High in the friendly level. My girl loves my lap. She takes the morning and afternoon shift, her brother late afternoon and night shifts on my lap and sometimes both settle in my lap. They’re either near or on me and follow me sometimes. Every night my girl needs her cuddle session or she’ll paw on my bedroom door which is my space and her brother comes up for his night cuddle. When I do my bills by phone one or the other supervises and my boy is a big supervisor when I cook. Neither are coming in the door greeters.
My cat love to hunt me. So I entertain her by being a 'bad prey' like hiding with my leg sticking out, or visibly staring at her while I'm hiding 😅
My tortie is not a lap cat but likes to be near you.

We have several cats, 2 of which are twin Snowshoe Siamese females (they are a little over a year). Everyone gets along, most of the time. We also have 2 Corgis and 1 Pitty that the kitties all love. All of our furbabies are well adjusted and will show us their bellies for rubs.
Our furbabies are treated better than some people treat their children and I believe that is why they are so loving.
BTW, my twins give kisses like dogs do, and they kiss me on my lips and if I dare turn my head, they grab me with their nails, it only took a time or two for me to learn to hold still for the kisses. LOL

I have a ginger tom who is moderate skittish, highly friendly, moderately high dominant, moderate outgoing, and moderately high spontaneous. He is cuddly and crazy and does not have a hard time making new friends that are humans and dogs

I have had many cats but my bombay black is the biggest nightmare. She is obsessed with me, climbs onto my back and shoulders when she sees me grab my shoes to leave, she scraams and cres until i return... she also PEES on my bed, sofa, any is ok for her....she just wants to be on me 24/7.... any help is appreciated 😂
My kitty is so skittish I worry it’s my fault, any noise or movement worries her even after a year. Full of anxiety just like her owner 😖
My girl cat Koko love bites me (softly) and when I scream to pretend as if I had pain, she licks me to show her apologies 😘
My daughter has a cat that,is pacifist, he's a scaredy cat.
He will not fight, back, with any of the other cats,in the house.they all will walk up ,and belt him one.
Being rural in New Zealand, our cats enjoy being outdoors during good weather.
Judging by the amount of entrails we find inside, their hunting instinct is well satisfied. We also treat our cats like cats and not living dolls.
As for the rest, she is gregarious and he is not and we treat them accordingly.
Both love evening or morning cuddle time and seem generally happy.
