ohhh it's funny the version of pretty u you watched isn't actually a "part switch", but i'm glad you watched it anyway because it's so so much fun!! such a good performance... i saw it live T^T so lovely.... they are such GOOFS and i adore them!! the actual part switch is a bit different (and also fun!!!). my favorite part switch they've done was oh my! so i'm excited to see if you reacted to that one in part 2 ^^ i was so excited to see that you reacted to these!!! they're some of my favorite seventeen videos... they have the best time goofing off in these. the best is what we (and svt) lovingly call "boonon".... when vernon and seungkwan switch!!! seungkwan being main rapper and vernon struggling to hit those high notes. they're so so funny and they do it a lot!! whew. thank you for reacting to these. like i said, i was really excited to see what you thought of them!!! it's fun to watch you enjoy the kind of content that simply makes you smile, and the part switch videos are so perfect for that. :D

Part Switch Vers. actually what made me love SVT so much more so I really appreciate it. They are such a hilarious bunch. 😂😂. Fun fact though, they actually did a lot of choreo changes with Adore U and with the song as well, it has a lot of versions. So, imagine the dedication that they did during Adore U era. I'd definitely recommend the left and right part switch!!! They totally clown each other the entire time. Even if you aren't sure who wore what costume in the original version, a lot of times you can figure out who is imitating who just based on the jokes

There are a lot of fandom inside jokes in the Don't Wanna Cry part switch, Seungkwan was imitating Vernon's teaser video for DWC where he was standing alone looking wistfully at a compass lol. And the whole DWC part switch is a throwback to their Mansae part switch : same set and similar intro and outro scene, so it's like a parody of a parody. Most of other jokes have been explained by other comments so I'm not gonna repeat them lol
Actually I watch DWC switched ver first before the real one and it's sounds really good. Then I discover their other songs
Over time, you'll notice some common themes in Seventeen's part switch versions: Seungkwan and Vernon taking each other's parts, people being lifted or carried switching with those who lift or carry them, and the rearing horse pose for lyrics that include the syllable 말 (mal).

Ngl i cried when Pretty U came on coz i was supposed to see them live finally after 4yrs of stanning them but the Ode To You in London got cancelled coz of stupid covid😭so yeah, i still havent moved on from that n this whole OTY setlist wouldve been what i wouldve seen in person🥲 like the “Seventeen Museum” was such a cute segment in the OTY setlist n i rlly wanted to see Oh My! Slow Mo vers in person (tbh any svt performance would do) but thanks a tonne, covid😭so yeah, pain is all i know😂
