    So once the client has selected the desired option, how do you make the "primary option" or whatever option they choose editable again? Thanks in advance.

    I recently run into a limitation of Revit modeling.
    I am using reference plane to cut taper 2x14 roof joist that is slope 2%.
    This 2% sloped reference line can be shown in building section or elevation on East or West.
    However it would not cut some of the floor joist 10ft beyond.
    So I think the issues was the reference plane does not have enough depth. So I apply propagated extend. I don't know exactly how deep it has propagated.
    And because reference plane is place on 2% angle. I am not able to See it from South North orientation.
    Do you have solution for that???

    Hello Jonathan, very good instruction, thank you!
    But I think, there is a little mistake. See 3:10 min.
    Quote: "and right now, you see by default, it's in the main model category"
    But the spot you're pointing in the status-bar, displays just the active design option.
    The only way to see, in which options sth. belongs, is to check in the Properties Palette.
    Do you agree?

    Thank you! Your explanation it's extremely clear!
    Can i ask you if is it possible have different schedule (walls, doors, windows, etc...) with the different design option?

    • @massimomele3646
      @massimomele3646 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    So if you decide to use design option 2 how do you make it part of your main model so it can the properly be edited?

    • @chelsflick
      @chelsflick 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +epond83 If you go back to the design options menu, the place where you originally created the option. Click on the one that you have chose. Under option there will be a button "Make primary" click that. Once you have done that go to the original option that the others are coming from and under option set click "accept primary". This will delete all of the other sets you have made and move the option you want into the main model. I hope this helps.

    How do you remove elements from a design option that you may have added by accident?

    • @SmarterArchitect
      @SmarterArchitect  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Rusty Hartman great question - edit the design option and then deselect elements to take out

    • @rustyhartman5927
      @rustyhartman5927 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried that but it wouldn't let me see deselect anything. My I was in the wrong mode.
