The truth about these budget brands is that just keep getting better with time. I've recently started collecting and carrying knives from a few of the different brands similar to civivi, and they are all shockingly good for the price. Especially when you get into some of the knife center exclusives that generally have upgraded blade steel and handle materials that add even more cool factor! They are definitely a guilty pleasure of mine, and have been spending more time in my pocket than my more expensive knives.
I’m finding the Kubey titanium to be killer. Especially the atlas. It’s 165 bucks not so cheap but not really expensive either but it’s like a $300 knife and better just judging from what I have .

I’ve got a BHQ exclusive elementum in OD green micarta and S35VN with a milled Ti clip from Civivi that you can get on Amazon for like 15 bucks. It’s one of my favorite less expensive knives.
I have many what you would call Budget knives and that's most of what I carry most of my expensive knives stay in a box 😆... I guess I'm afraid to scratch him or lose them but there are many awesome knives made by civivi...kizer and kuby... If you're not checking them out you're missing out 😉
10cr15 is Chinese VG 10. 0.1% more carbon than 9cr18. It is comparable, a tiny better edge retention at the price of some stainless and toughness. Not by much. Those 2 are widely used on kitchen knives (that I love)
Yeah, I love budget brands like, Civivi, CJRB, Artisan cutlery, etc. that offer so much value for the money. The same companies also offer premium stuff like milled Ti clips, premium handle materials and blade steel. Budget doesn’t also mean cheap.

I want to love civivi, but their heat treat is really bad. Did a really soft pry (changing interior bulbs in my truck) and the tip completely bent, then snapped as I bent it back. With that said, I own like 5 of them, because they have some beautiful Damascus knives for great prices... I'm just scared to use any of them now.
Knife steel doesn’t bend usually so that’s strange. It just snaps.. But their heat treat is fantastic. There is another channel that does heat treat testing and you’ll never see a bad one from WE (Civivi).

I love copper, especially rubbed one, like this one. I think I badly need Civivi Plethiros in rubbed copper - looks so awesome.

This came out awhile ago. They are great. I wish they would do them without liners though. Or at least recessed liners.
