  • Hinglas Mata which is also famous as Nani Mandir is the most famous Hindu Shrine in Baluchistan. - It is situated in a mountain cave on the bank of the River Hingol, at the end of the Kheertar mountains, which are called the Kanraj in Baluchistan.
-According to the Hindu religion, when Lord Vishnu cut the body of Sati into 51 pieces so that Lord Shiva would stop his Tandava, the pieces were scattered across the Indian subcontinent, including in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh. But it is said that the head of Sati fell at Hinglaj -- and that's why this shrine is so important.
Most people in Baluchistan are Muslims. But the Balochi people have a liberal and tolerant spirit. The survival of this site is proof of their brave and generous attitude towards Hindu pilgrims.
