Very good review Help to decide - I’m currently using the. Cloud monster 2 I love cloud monster 2 but starting to feel them towards the end at about 200-250 not really counting but getting the eclipse next Thank you
I like the bouncy feeling of the Cloudstratus 3. Is the cloudmonster more bouncy? and then the Cloudsurfer even more bouncy, and then still the cloudeclipse? I'd love for you to review the Cloudstratus 3. I'm contemplating which to go for. I'm not really a runner. My main criteria is walking/jogging sometimes, to standing all day. Do you think the exaggerated rocker in the monster will irritate me more than normal? I'm used to the Asics Kayano's cushy soft feeling but I'm excited to try the Ons. Thanks! Love your review!!
I own the exact three pairs and totally agree with your rating, the Monster stopped being comfy at around 300kms, the surfer is my fave but started to squeak and now I love the eclipse. Soft withouth being too 'mushy', like so many of the other max cushion shoes. They really keep my legs fresh and roll easily. Love!
I got the On Cloud Eclipse and I'm loving them ! It is as fantastic as my Invincible 3, Gel-Nimbus 25 and a Mizuno Wave Sky 7. My question to you is wish ON shoes would you recommend that could be more fun to get next to pair it with the Eclipse : ON Cloud Stratus 4 or like a Cloud Surfer ? Thanks .
The Cloudsurfer is going to feel most similar to the Eclipse, just much more cushioned. I haven't ran in the current Cloudstratus but I feel like I'd still recommend the Surfer
@msl325 My bad. It is still on the Cloud Stratus 3 . I think I got it wrong because I kept checking the ON Cloud Flow 4 ...and I ended up getting the Cloud Stratus 3 instead of the Cloud Surfer. But now, with the next Surfer model coming soon, the current model is getting lots of good discounts on ON' s own website.
in your opinion is the cloud eclipse better for standing 11hrs a day because I have the cloud monster for about a year and there done so either getting the monster or eclipse
I have flat feet so need more arch support but also want a chusion shoe I currently wear brooks adrenaline gts 22 a lot of miles on them although I don’t run just a lot of threadmill walking which would you suggest would need support for my arch
I would guess any of the three. I have cloudmonster and those are the only shoes ever to keep the heel pain away when standing for long on hard floors. I’ve just got a pair of cloudsurfer and they seem to do the job too but i haven’t used them much yet. The latter have more toe room though, which is nice.
I loved my Cloudsurfer until it started to make squeaky sound (only 3 months into wearing the shoe and only used it for walking when travel overseas.) Called On Cloud's customer rep and none of the solutions they offer help in making the the squeaky sound disappear... very disappoint for the price I paid for the shoe
Cloud Eclipse is my first On shoes, and my golly!!! The comfort is crazy. I love my New Balance's but those are too squishy. Eclipse got the comfort and stability
Ive been trying yo find the cloud eclipse i uam wesrinv old hoka bondi 6 .i don't find the hoka bondi 8 or sndy as good now. They put yhe back high i feel digs in. Do i was told eclipse but cant find to try on. Im in canada. Any ideas running room doesn't
Hi mate. I need your help. I've used Cloudmonster and actually Cloudeclipse in size 9 usa (8,5 uk). I would like to buy a pair of Cloudsurfer ..... Listening to the testers on You Tube someone advice to size up half size in this model while others advice to take the same size. Which is yours opinion? Did you take the same size in Coudsurfer? What do you suggest me? 🙏 Thank you in advance. Cheers
I have both the cloudsurfer 7 and the Nimbus 25 as part of my easy day rotation. Am I truly missing something if I get another pair of cloudsurfers instead of the CloudEclipse?
@@RunningWithDusty hahaha i guess I should have said "I'm looking for new shoes to try to replace my Bondi 8" lol. They are great, especially for my plantar fasciitis. They just weren't the most durable. After trying on the Invincible 3 and feeling how comfortable they were, wanted to see what else was out there
The Eclipse will be most similar of the 3 to the Bondi with the Surfer being the most soft feeling. You might be fine in the Surfer, but that is the least supportive of the 3 and I would be concerned it might not address your plantar issues.. I'd personally go Eclipse. I think I would find the Invincible to be too squishy for standing/walking for 12 hrs
@@RunningWithDusty Thank you!! That makes a ton of sense. Since most people look for running shoes to actually run in, it's harder to harder to guage what would work best for my situation so really appreciate the feedback!
Take a medium file and file the holes in the midsole a little bit. As you wear them the inner surface gets worn smooth and begins to squeak. Usually it’s the last 3-4 under the heal.
Avoid the Cloudsurfer Trail. They are dangerous. I bought a pair in April 2024 and love them, they look cool, they are light, and they have fantastic cushioning for old knees. However, they are fatally flawed. I took them for a 16 mile trail run today, they have done about 200-250 miles and on inspecting the sole, I was shocked to find the lugs on the heel have completely worn down. I paid £150 in April, so if you extrapolate the cost versus longevity they are working out about 3x more expensive than my other brands (Saucony Peregrine, Adidas Terrex). i.e. to get the same distance over the life of the shoe I would need 3 pairs. Secondly, the lugs are very shallow and the grip is appalling. I have nearly come a cropper on simple moors trails a few times, slipping on rocks, slipping on wood, slipping on anything that isn't flat, dry and stable. I don't trust them and will retire them as a treadmill shoe. Unfortunately this means I will never buy On again, which is disappointing as I did love them upon purchase. Afraid they are style over substance, and I now view On as a fashion brand rather than a serious sports apparel brand.
Great video! Can't wait for the cloud eclipse to go on sale so I can pick up a pair!
Thanks!
i m crazy in love with my cloud eclipse ! best daily trainer I have ever had !

Great to hear!
Also glad I'm not out to lunch with my video 😂
How is the insole cushion of eclipse compare to surfer? I have been wearing my surfer and going for my second pair.

Cloud monster hyper ckming this year
@@charlesbukowski9752 I may or may not have seen and tried this shoe on. Not allowed to talk about it yet 🤫

Surfer is as ridiculously unstable as the Novablast 1?

for long walking and standing better on cloud eclipse / surfer or tilt?
Hello great video I have questions who is the best shoes for walking and every day use and I AM 98kg 😊
are the waterproof versions any good? I tried one and they're not comfy-- they're stiff.

Nope! Keep rocking the Cloudsurfer if you know it works for you
What is the difference between cloudsurfer and cloudsurfer Next?
@@JPE_DRAEB Cloudsurfer Next has a lower stack height and the midsole foam is firmer
Which Nike Invincible do you have? I'm torn between the Invincible 3s and the On Surfer/Eclipse for my 12hr nursing shifts
I have the Invincible 3 but haven't worn them in a long time. Have you considered the Hoka Bondi for your work shoe?

My oncloud is making squeaking noises
Every single pair I’ve ever owned quacked like a duck after 6 months. Still love them.

Just regularly clean the insides of the holes.
Cloud eclipse is good but it really wore down fast because of the thin soles

Super helpful! One question. What one would you think would be best for managing bad knees?
