- I got this car back in october. I traded a 1967 austin healey sprite straight up for the El Camino. I have already started on the restoration. I have all the interior out, the front clip of the car off, the motor and transmission out, and i have painted the fire wall and the frame. The transmission I have sent off to get rebuilt and have a shift kit put in. The motor is being cleaned and I'm putting an aluminum intake on it.
I still have some body work to do, but thats for later this winter or the spring. When Its finished it will have a red interior and a shiny black paint job.
Right off---I started to cringe as one guy stood with his back to the garage door till the elco was at a point of smashing him before he moved. Hope he was a little more cautious after that, one slip of the foot off the brake & onto the throttle, sounds good though!
Nice beater with a heater... I would guess ur planning to rebuild it...?
65 elcamino with 80's Camaro wheels they just don't look right
