    I had thrown with 18,21,23,24 and 25 gram darts..The 23’s had always been my go-to, but I bit the bullet and went to the dark side , took a punt and got myself a set of 28 gram Shot Zen Kensho darts and they took my throwing to the next level in terms of repetitive accuracy. Hiked my averages into the mid 80’s.. Effortless to thrown, they have really cut down decisively on lateral drift.. I’m digging them a lot… 👍👍👍👍👍

      Great to hear that your standard has gone up. That being said I'm not a huge fan of anything Shot. Imo they're overmachined and the price is a bit shocking. But if they work well for someone that's all that matters 👍🏻

      I’ve thrown 23g for some time now but feel like I would like to feel a bit more weight to my dart I currently have the Ryan Searle heavy metal 23g so I decided to borrow my sons 27g dart and did like the feel of the extra weight so I’ve ordered some heavy metal 26g do you think moving from 23g to 26g will be a noticeable difference

      It could be just a one off with this set. Not that it's a huge issue but it's easy enough to fix with longer points.

    Dang, i was really looking forward to seeing what you were going to do for the intro, thats intresting to know about the point depth tho, atleast harrows isn't like unicorn tho who drill all their point hole depths to 8mm 😅 great review as always.👍

      Yeah, I was a bit surprised when I yanked out the point. I didn't expect 34mm points. The point was stuck in in here REALLY good too.

    Nice darts 🎯
    I used to race BMX bikes when I was younger. I had a few different bikes back then like Haro, Hutch and Redline. Even had landing gear forks on a GT. I knew some people who had a PK Ripper like in your video.

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nice! I was always the freestyle guy. I rode Redline way back in the day and then had a Haro Cozmo in the late 1990's. I was HUGE into bikes about a decade ago and got carried away with my collection. I think I had over 10 bikes at one point. I've got rid of everything except the PK and a Specialized P2 dirt jump bike that I upgraded and use to blast around the city here... i.ibb.co/dKGJgsY/knSZyak.jpg

    Worldwide; Great video. Those darts really look good with the black and red. I don't think I have ever seen the point hole drilled out that deep on any darts before; agree it's confusing why. Would 42mm points be a good choice for these? Thanks and keep the videos rolling.

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks Mike! Yeah, 43mm points would be great. You'd have about 34-35mm sticking out of the front of the barrel. Although I'd be curious to know if all Searle sets have a point hole drilled out that much. There's a chance I just got a weird one off set.

  • @greggsmith7388

    Great 180!
    I love the look of this entire set of darts. Black and red theme, skulls, carbon shafts, grippy, what’s not to like?
    Regarding the points, I would just use a specialty point and the flange would evenly install them. Does sound however like the points don’t want to come out. I’ve had only 1 set ever give me problems removing the points.
    Keep up the great reviews! I guess I would like you to do a review of these in the lightest weight.

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The only thing I'd be afraid of with using specialty points is it might be a bit sketchy with 32g barrels. I've never had a point break but that's asking for trouble. I think I'll review the 22g version sometime in the next couple months

    • @greggsmith7388
      @greggsmith7388 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@WorldwideDarts I don’t know if I agree. Specialty points typically have 5mm on the end to insert into the barrel which I believe is plenty. On the odd chance they did break they would need to be sent off for repair.

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I like the Loxley's way more. The grip on the Loxley darts is just about perfect for me. I think most people will find these darts a bit too grippy to be totally consistent with them.

    Hey WWD! Nice review and a good looking set of darts. The heaviest set of darts I have are 24 grams and I think those are heavy as my match darts are 21 grams. Using the 32 grams would make me have to get back into the gym and pressing 405 too, just so I could lift them into a throwing position (LOL!). Hope your recovery is quick so that you can get back to the bench press soon; keep the videos coming as I always look forward to them!

  • @jrgengraff-nielsen5771
    @jrgengraff-nielsen5771 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Length of the points? Do you always need to mount them all the way in to the bottom of the hole? Couldn´t you just mount them 4 or 5 mm in, and let them stay there so more length would be staying outside the barrel? Eventually with a bit of locktight if needed?

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've always bottomed out the points to ensure that all 3 are perfectly even and they stay in the barrel. I suppose you could only mount them in about 5 or 6mm but this point hole is definitely out of the ordinary

    Mr Worldwide, I live in a hot & humid climate, and my Gladiator 3+ board's wires are bending ever so slightly, but it messes with my OCD. You said the Blade 6 is very soft, would a board like that do better in the tropics? Do you have any recommendations? Thank you and big smiles from Indonesia.

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Are you rotating your board often? The G3 is a firm board and I imagine the humidity is making it swell a bit. The Blade 6 might be a good choice but make sure you're rotating it a lot... especially when it's new.

      I always find it a bit odd how little the commentators know about the players equipment. They seem to know everything else about a player but when it comes to their darts they get a lot of it wrong. Unless Harrows recently made him a custom 34g set I'm pretty sure he's playing with 32g

    Asking from germany...
    Why you cant order the darts directly in the Us?

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Great question. I'll give you the short answer. Here in the USA every dart shop sells their darts and dart supplies with MAP pricing. That stands for Minimum Advertised Price. That means all dart shops sell at the same price as to NOT undercut one another. The dart shops benefit from that selling practice but it screws the customer.
      MAP pricing is illegal in the UK and they can sell darts for whatever price they want. The Ryan Searle darts cost $83 here in the states. I can get them from Double Top Darts for $58 and that's BEFORE the discount code. Also remember that we DO NOT pay VAT tax here in the states. It's a huge difference. So I've been buying from the UK since early 2000's. This channel would not exist if it wasn't for UK dart shops and their affordable prices.
      Someone I know wrote an in depth article about it. Keep in mind this article is about 8 years old but a lot of the information still holds true. dartsinsider.blogspot.com/2018/03/darts-retail-in-us-savvy-business-model.html?m=1

    WWD, I don't think your set is a one off in terms of the point depth, I also have a set of 32g, and for the life of me I cant get the points out, so I'm assuming its because they're in there so deep. Do you have any tips to get them out? I've got the basic designa repointer, and I simply cant get the clamp on the point tight enough, when retracting the dart the point just slides out of the clamp without retracting from the dart. Also side note, I'd definitely buy that Loxley set off you if you still had them, these Harrows are my new match darts.

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I had a lot of trouble getting the point out. It took a HUGE effort to get the one point free. These points are lodged in there pretty good. I used to compete in grip strength events and have strong hands so if I struggled I can only imagine. I got rid of my Loxley's a long time ago. I rarely keep anything

    • @casey3436
      @casey3436 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@WorldwideDarts Thanks for the response, never in my life have I had to throw in the towel on repointing, but these just seem impossible! I may have to actually send them into a dart shop and have them professionally repointed. That's my only gripe with these. Other than that, I'm loving them.

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Do you have a vice that you can put the repointer in to get a bit extra leverage?

    • @casey3436
      @casey3436 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@WorldwideDarts I do, I even used it, my problem is that the part that clamps onto the point can't hold it tight enough. I cranked it as tight as I could, put the tool in the vice, and with strong force, I can twist the handle to retract the dart, but i can't separate the point from the barrel as the point just slides out of the clamp if you get what I'm saying. Those two little allen screws aren't strong enough to hold the point in place.
