I've found the metal bats to be really good for melee weapons. They're like the hammers but a touch slower, yet more powerful. Mind you, it may come down to which weapon you're lucky enough to get the blueprints for so you can upgrade it. After the initial +4 upgrade, you have the option to upgrade to a variant with near double the damage. The machete is also a good option, though I haven't yet been lucky enough to score the blueprint for it. As for them blue metals.. They must be for later on or something.. I've just been stacking them up and they're mostly useless.. I've needed green metals more than anything.. Green metals, Iron scraps, hemp, cotton, I'm just starting to need leather now on floor 13. Though this could be different based on what blueprints you get.
I will say my personal opinion on a couple things, the iron is the community voted best base game weapon for the entirety of 1-40 so putting it in your top 3 is an understatement. But when you mentioned the firework launcher you forgot to mention that it cooks beasts that you shoot with it so it can help quickly increase the hp gained. And I don't think the rage move is worth using until tier 3 personally, but that's because it takes like half the weapon's durability and before tier 3 just doing normal shots would equate to more damage I'm pretty sure. Good guide though but yea just had to say a few things about those two weapons. Hammer is decent ish for this floor range but falls off in the 20s, machete is normally people's weapon of choice until 30s. But anyone who knows the power of the iron, just knows. Easiest way to climb the tower, it's a must have in the speedruns lol Any other critiques I have about the video would just be small stuff that doesn't matter though so gg

Btw, just thought I should point this out. When recording your videos, do you record them in 1080, or 4k? It's best to record them in 4k if you want better quality for your channel. Even though TH-cam will naturally downsize them if you're not making that giant corporation, bucketloads of money, but from what I hear at least, videos still look better if uploaded at 4k than they do if uploaded at 1080. Also, do you use an external device or the built in PS software to record videos? Also, is it PS4 or 5? If you use the built in software for recording, it's best to use the Sharefactory downloadable app on PS for uploading. Cuz it allows you to upload in 4k, whereas to the best of my knowledge, on PS5 at least, the system software only uploads up to 1080p.
@@grimg7514 No offense intended. I'm a bit of a quality junkie, it could be a bit smoother. But then I also use a 4k TV and monitor, so that likely makes a diff when viewing. Either way, it never hurts to tweak things; just save or remember the original settings so you can go back if things don't work out. The quality has improved since some of your 2020 vids. I was watching one of your older vids, and there was tons of artifacts and it just looked bad. Still, no offense intended. I'd still rather watch your videos than the ones where people sit there and play in awkward silence (even if they are better quality). Voiced makes such a big difference. But in general, unless you're strapped for hardware resources, it never hurts to maximize quality. Cuz in terms of maximizing views, likes, subs .etc; the crisper the quality, the more likely people will be to stay focused on it, as opposed to clickin the next thing. Usually I wouldn't say anything, but you seem alright, so I wish you the best with your TH-cam success.
Oh, and just a side note on the subs. When it comes to me. I'm only subbed to like, several people, and I've been on TH-cam for as long as it's been a thing. I may just sub to you anyways, cuz it seems like you don't put out a boatload of content on the regular. Main reason I generally don't is cuz I don't want to be absolutely flooded with notifications from dozens of people uploading hundreds of videos on the regular. But I initially stayed away from subscribing because when I played Everquest 2 for so many years, it was initially on monthly subscriptions, so the idea of 'subscribing' came with a sense of spending money. I found out a long time ago that it's not the same on TH-cam, but still never really got into it overall. Plus with almost every TH-camr out there begging for subs, it kinda blends with all the advertisements these companies are forcing on us. So I'm more likely to sub to someone like you that doesn't beg for subs in every video. Like, ya, you kinda do, but at the end though, for like 2 seconds, lol.. Half the video isn't, you desperately begging for subs XD.

But in this context it's when you can see smudgy chunks in parts of the video that don't move along with the rest of the video on the screen. If you look at some of your older videos, you may see what I mean. I'll have to watch your older vids later to catch what you mean by talking faster. I didn't notice it, but wasn't really paying attention to that since it's a game video and not a tutorial on how to do X thing in photoshop, or somesuch. Tbh, few things irritate me more than people that do tutorials for learning apps, and they drone on in slow motion describing only the most basic parts, while leaving out the important details. So basically I waste 10-60 mintues of my life, and learn nothing.. Funny thing though, that 2x speed thing seems to be catching on.. I just watched another video in which a guy described people using that as a time saving measure. But there's some people I can't watch on TH-cam without putting them down to half speed cuz they sound like a dang auctioneer.. Not you mind you, but some people. But yea, if you have any more questions about video, compression, editing .etc. I will try to help in any way I can. I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty good around the terminology. And anything I don't know, I can typically figure out, so long as it's not behind a paywall. Conversely, I primarily gamed on PC through most of my adult life, until I got an Xbox one, a few years back (5 or so). It's better for most games besides fighting and driving games. But I prefer to have my gaming system separate from my PC, so I can browse the web and do w.e else on my PC, without having to leave the game to do so, or minimize the game, risking having windows crash the game on me. Or have windows randomly stop my game to restart because it's being demanding about an update. Honestly, I've come to hate M$ as a company. That's why I got the PS5 instead of the series X. And I just heard they're releasing a windows 11.. Oh how I loathe to consider the ways they'll hyjack my PC with that little gem.. Of course I'll put off that update indefinitely if possible, but they'll probably force it on people at some point..
PS: do you need to run raids in order to get the TDM terminal to show you options for upgrading your freezer and such? I've been avoiding running that at this point because I don't want to get raided..
@@grimg7514 I figured it out, you have to run the initial raid thing in order to open up the other options on the TDM terminal. I didn't really want anything to do with the PVP stuff at this point in the game, cuz I don't need my crap gettin ganked/destroyed by some vengeful player, while I'm still trying to upgrade and build my character. So ya, that was frustrating for a while cuz I couldn't get better fighters, couldn't use better gear, upgrade anything.. I'm fine with games not shoving tutorials in our faces, but that's one thing they probably shoulda been more clear on, since, if you don't want to PVP at all, then you could get stuck, and even end up bailing the game because of it. It's funny though, so many games insist on forced tutorials that force you to follow a bossy NPC, or tell you how to 'press forward to make your character move forward', but then the odd games that don't have that level of tutorials, fail to explain game-changing stuff..
@@grimg7514 what are the potential detrements of getting attacked? Can they only steal your splith, or will anything actually get destroyed and require a costy rebuild? Cuz I hear there's like, 300ish floors, I've barely made it to 19. Frankly, if it comes down to pvp, I'll prob get raped worse than when I tried to headshot a jackal earlier with a 94 dmg sniper.. I actually headshotted him twice (which surprised me, since I was like 10 feet behind him), then he turned around and splattered me. I've got an available mission to kill a jackal, for ONE colored skull.. if I could kill that thing right now, I should get at least 50 of them skulls...
@@grimg7514 Ok, So I finally got my 405 dmg machetes and decided to get ballsy and try more raids. Thankfully I got lucky with a couple, but most people with enough splith worth taking, have buffed out lvl 120+ characters protecting their base.. Those things totally one shot me, even with 425 defense armor.. To be fair, they're prob equipped with 2000+ dmg weapons.. Predictable though in terms of PVP, especially PVP on a game this old. I'll need to attain at least rank 5-6 fighters before I can really compete.

The tdm is a great source of SPlithium though. As long as you don't carry too much, I don't think you'll get attacked much
