Beautiful analysis bro. I thought JJ vs Weili 1 was a draw honestly. Weili has a hell of a chin. Agree on the Nate Connor as well. Nunes vs Shevchenko 2 was a robbery and you are on point there. I think a lot of fans tend to forget the 2 knockdowns by McGregor in the first half of the round and instead remember the round for how it ended, and Goldberg saying what he did I think shows that and also probably skewed some perspectives of the people watching the PPV

The 1st round of Frankie vs Gray 2 was about as clear of a 10-7 as I’ve ever seen. I chalked it up back then to the judges being scared to give a 10-7 in a title fight but I dunno. I still say it’s 10-7 but the 1st round of their third fight I say was a 10-8
I rewatched Conor Diaz 2 a few weeks back and judging it as whole I have no doubt Conor won that war. Round 1 and 80% of round 2 Conor McGregor was simply in the matrix, there's no other way to put it. 3 Diaz, but he was not as dominant as was suggested in the video, 4 was Conor again, 5 Diaz. So I think round 2 was the decisive round, and that was the round Conor dropped Nate 2 or 3 times. Conor just won that fight.

One of the funniest moments in UFC history is Jon Jones getting a bad decision win over Dominick Reyes, promises him a rematch after the fight, and leaves the division
It was the right decision in hindsight seeing how Reyes lost the next two. I think jones would have beat him in a rematch but Reyes stock has fallen in the last 2 years
Gray Maynard has beaten Frankie 3 straight times! Those title fights should have been stopped in the first. Frankie got BLASTED! The fact that you got people calling for a 10-7 means Frankie was a death's door for the 1st round of both title fights. Crazy how a non finish can throw a man's career off a cliff.
Gray Maynard had heavy hands, but his finishing instincts were so poor. He'd frequently rock and hurt his opponents, but he just couldn't get them out of there.
1:30 that's actually what warrants a 10-8 in most cases either you were very close to finishing the fight with nothing too damaging being returned by the opponent or you completely dominated the entire round.
What about GSP vs Hendricks? It was razor thin and it's obvious how they looked who took more damage. If it's that razor thin I'd think damage would be a factor
Only need to look at round 1, where damage was not a factor for either fighter. In that round, GSP edged Hendricks in total sig strikes, sub attempts and successful take-downs. The other 4 rounds were a clear split. Close fight, but the right guy won.
Yup! McGregor was saved by the bell in R3 and R5 and did a lot of running away from Nate while looking at the clock to see when they will open the cage and let him go home.
It was not a good fight, but the result had legacy defining consequences. That fight enabled Amanda to establish herself as the WMMA GOAT, and had she lost it would have created a butterfly effect in the division as either what she accomplished would either not have happened, or came much later. Meanwhile Valentina was pretty much forced down a weight-class to establish her own title run getting stuck in 2nd place to Amanda. Plus IMO given how arrogant Amanda is, only makes the result sting when it shouldn't.

How has this channel only been around for 5 years?? I swear it's been longer. Happy birthday MMA On Point
Wait, when saying at the beginning, “the subject of this video isn’t robberies” or something along those lines, was that Lee Murray on the screen? If so, I see what you did there. Robbery. Lol. Love you guys.
7:44 😂
This is why we need more draws
Honestly the fact that people seriously debate this fight as a robbery kinda shows the average iq of mma fans.
I’d agree, massive Diaz fan but can’t truly say I think he won, close fight but I think Connor did enough to Win,was a great fight though regardless, shame we’ll never see the trilogy
Conor fans forever living in 2016, having to argue a close match in his favor because he hasn't won since then. Pathetic.
The only debatable round in that fight is the 5th, without that takedown at the very end I think we would have seen some 49-46 cards for McGregor
@@hardnewstakenharder Yeah, it’s not like it was included in the video or anything, sheesh! 🤣
It is rather wild how at a second look a fight can appear much different than the live version. As if the collective has an impact in the moment…
One of the funniest moments in UFC history is Jon Jones getting a bad decision win over Dominick Reyes, promises him a rematch after the fight, and leaves the division
It was the right decision in hindsight seeing how Reyes lost the next two. I think jones would have beat him in a rematch but Reyes stock has fallen in the last 2 years
Go watch how Jones performs in rematches. Reyes best chance was only going to be that night.
@@johnbutler7567 If you wanna look at it like that, Jones hasnt fought since then. Reyes would have atleast defended the belt
" what does the word effective even mean "
😂😂
Definitely thought Machida Shogun 1 would be on here.
4:22
It’s impossible to see that clip not used in a MMA on point video
Sorry but GSP vs Hendricks was not a robbery. GSP won 3-2
Wtf did you watch. Hendricks won almost every round.
@@The-fs5wn lol no he didn't. Unless by every round you man 2 of em.
@@The-fs5wn WTF did u watch, not a big MMA fan i take it
just seeing images of conor nate 2 gives me goosebumps
I still disagree with you all about GSP/Hendrix, and it makes me happy every time I see one of you cry about it.
1:30 that's actually what warrants a 10-8 in most cases either you were very close to finishing the fight with nothing too damaging being returned by the opponent or you completely dominated the entire round.
Khabib surprisingly didn't get that many 10-8 ufc is scared to give those out. Also there are 10-7s but I can't think of a fight that gives those.
Yeah Tommy
Johnny Hendricks vs GSP is the perfect example of how people used to think that "to be the champ, you have to beat the champ" was a real thing
SANTOS 1 2 3
If you’re ever wondering who will win a close decision, you can rest assured it will be the more marketable fighter.
Condit will forever be the real welterweight champion
I miss Carlos. He was so fun to watch
Was Bisping vs Hamill on a different type of video? I feel it belongs here.
Talking about ppv autopsy we didn't get one for UFC 277 can we expect one?
Hey guys where was the unfamiliar video for the recent PPV? And the stats of the PPV after?
The scoring criteria is confusing and hard to apply without a clear winner."
Is it though?
Needs an update: DDP v Strickland comes to mind
GSP won. Clearly too.
Yep and its just so annoying to hear MMA On Point say it was a robbery and most fans agree, um, no they don't and no it wasn't.
Yep. Georges 1,3,5
@@pt29999then don’t watch mma on point, simple, who you thought won is totally your opinion
This is exactly why we need a Conor-Diaz trilogy. Only Diaz high ass destroyed by weed brain cannot comprehend it
How is nobody talking about them showing Lee Murray when they mentioned robberies
Johanna Jedrzejczyk looking like Eric Stoltz in the movie "The Mask"
Yup! McGregor was saved by the bell in R3 and R5 and did a lot of running away from Nate while looking at the clock to see when they will open the cage and let him go home.
Daily dose of casual comments, thank you.
Champ should always get "lackluster" rounds...he's got the belt, he doesn't need to prove and fight for it...the challenger does.
I'll never understand arguing over a terrible fight, which is what Valentina vs Nunes 2 was.
True. It’s like arguing Derrick Lewis vs Francis Ngannou or Israel Adesanya vs Yoel Romero. I just wanna forget those terrible fights forever
Sees like a reasonable case for more fights being scored draws
