Good to see you all together on different videos Joe, the 6 months warranty is a killer, any car can have a fault within 6 months even a brand new car, G3 have done a good job getting there name out there,
I just went to Vauxhall and bought a corsa vx line with my daughter, they were trying their best to sell me finance and every other option going, anyway we rejected but was shocked to see the £99 admin fee.
loving these podcasts , learn hell of a lot about car trading, I can't believe if a customer cannot pay for a car , or get a bank loan then save a bit longer , 😮 keep the boys coming with there wit and experience 😅👍🚘
The Finance Companies are doing their Anti-Money Laundering checks - that is why they want the extra information from you. There are severe fines for breaching AML.
What about when you sue the dealer awarded payment only to find that afternoon when returning from court dealer closed only to find now trading under a different name from same premises.
The problem is there are chancers. But there are also more money launderers and drug dealers that set up car dealerships via companies house etc so they can look all legit and everything but ultimately couldn't care less because they're not proper car dealers they are money launderers and drug dealers. But they just look the part and take people's money. That's why people don't like buying cars from. Huddersfield, Bradford, Birmingham etc and the real car dealers all get tarred with the same dodgy, chancer brush.
As a suggestion why not invite a customer on the podcast? They may have had a good experience with another dealer or a bad one, I would certainly be up for it myself. I have an interesting story to tell too!
People moan about car dealers making money .. People don’t moan a gas man charges you £2000 labour to change a boiler . The goverment makes 70% tax out of every gallon of you buy , spend £70 a week on fuel , £3500 a year . And that’s about £2500 a year indirect tax … Car dealers work hard to sell the public a decent car ! And they are second hand / used cars … With thousand of moving parts !
I’m not sure bleating poverty will help you gents, I’m sure you are all making a nice living, good on you, absolutely great. But you can’t say you simply don’t want the finance commission when one dealer says it’s made up half of his profit in the last 6 months, HALF, or in other words it’s added 100 % to his profit made on the car. Or have I lost my marbles? As for this video, with no context given at the start are we to assume you are talking about adding a fee to a car, (touted at £500) if I get my finance anywhere other than you? So the fee is to supplement your lost commission on the finance? Brilliant, so I want to pay cash and you want to charge me lost commission too? Or is the £500 to offset the legal advantages the consumer has by buying on finance? Interesting, thanks.
These dealers should approach China EV manufacturers to become part of their UK network. Strike now while it’s early. Forget the used market and let used cars be purely C2C
Dealers have had it too good for far too long and the tables have turned RIGHTFULLY in the consumers favour. Its years of hiding so many commision fees and the current DCA's that the consumers are rightfully claiming for. Dealers call adimin fees as that or deposits both are horrendous charges that should not be part of a consumer deal. Im not sure what you all are complaining about really?? It is years and years of underhand deaaler/finance relations around fees and commision that has brought all this to a head. If dealers dont offer PCP/HP them dealers will go under imo. Auto Trader rule the car industry on both price and margins. I like watching your channels but currently its like every customer is bad lol
Dealers have had it so good with around 3% net margins. That’s £300 on a £10,000 car! Warranting 10 years old cars for 6-12 months. Dealers hid nothing. The cost of borrowing and monthly payments were clearly laid out. Dealers followed the process that the finance companies set and the FCA regulated. Nobody forced anybody to take car finance. Consumers have a personal loan application button on their bank apps. They could have got a bank loan instead where they would also have payed back more than they borrowed.. Joe thanks for providing such great content and spending £1000’s producing it.
@@ChopsGarage A bit of perspective from a viewer and consumer. Recently when I have watched videos from you guys, you just seem very quick to occuse the consumer of "stiffing" you. I appreciate this happens, and quite wrongly; however as consumers, we too are stiffed by dealers. Not necessarily by yourself, but it does come across as though all customers are the bad guys from yourself. Either way, love the content from you all.
@@thegreat_cornholio Many thanks! As regards being stuffed by dealers I very rarely get proper examples. It tends to come across more as urban legend more than hard cases. Those I do hear tend to be unfair expectations of full vehicle restoration for 75 percent off new.
To make it a profitable job so that we can still provide the service that motorists want. For the record, we don’t charge an admin fee and I don’t need to sell a car to you, in fact I’d rather not, you seem really entitled like we should beg to sell a car to you 😂
You can now show your support and buy our guests a coffee 👍

Brilliant 👏
Are you familiar with Harley Trent lads? would be another good addition to your podcasts I would think.
Cheers, Tony.
I'm with James I don't and won't do finance, too much hassle. I tell them to get a loan or I'll take a credit card payment.
I don’t mind paying an admin fee if to sort my own finance, I have done for the last 2 cars…. but £500 !
How far away is joe sat

I wouldn’t buy a car from a dealer that charges an admin fee, you either want to work for the profit on my sale or you don’t
We do enough work as it is, I'm not going to 'work' to get someone to buy it. If it takes work, it aint worth it
