The problem is you don't READ statistics. All you seem to defend yourselves against are your own brothers, and sisters. Black on black crime is more common than the "police brutality" you seem to always claim. Sorry, I grew up being straightforward. I don't lie to myself, or to others. Nor kiss anyone's butt!!

Kadeem hardisson is playing a fictional character and I think his role is just a filler to stretch the movie out and to make it seem more of a movie than a documentary.

This movie gives me chills. To think that our people have been doing the same things for generations is upsetting. It's a huge cycle. Overtime we uplift ourselves and break free of oppression for a hot second, the government infiltrates some type of problem into our communities to bring us back down. This has been going on for over 400 years.

    • @lorenzovonmatterhorn4756
      @lorenzovonmatterhorn4756 6 ปีที่แล้ว +13

That's why we need to unite and take it back. With morals how they did it. Many will call you ignorant or a lost cause. But they called them the same and look at them now.
Never doubt a small group of people can change the world, in fact it's all that ever has. -quote

Tbh they infiltrate our neighborhoods and communities us but they never bring us back down, we do that ourselves. Once we're truly disciplined ourselves to the enemy within, the outside distraction that we consider impossible to scale crumble before our very eyes into little more than stumbling blocks.

Hey man, that "white race for the wretched souls they are comment", that's just the assholes in power. That's not the average white person in America. Mostly it's Democrats and Liberals. They are your enemy homie. The fact that any black American in this day votes Democrat is bewildering to me. They literally think that all black people are lazy, stupid, and they need the white liberal saviors to hold their hands like children. And anyone who knows the actual history of the democrat party(being the confederates during the Civil War, the KKK, Jim crow laws, using the Civil rights act to destroy the black family and fatherhood, etc) will tell you they are not the friend to black Americans. But all Americans need to stand together and say enough, we all need to fix our shit. Cause our shit is fucked! All races in this country, and all religions need to stand together and work on bettering our communities and ourselves.

insanity23mike Maybe you are wrong about the Panthers of today like you and your friend were about the original Panther party, the Panthers of today are not bad, its just they get painted in a negative light just like the Panthers of before. Have you met all the New Panther party members? and if so were they messed up, if you seen a clip that was probably taken out of context, or heard a story through hearsay it does not make the whole group horrendous, that's like saying all Christians are bad because of the so-called holy crusades or the Catholic pedophiles or the extremist.

I met Black Panthers when I was a (white) boy in Los Angeles, better than a half-century ago now.
No, they were NOT racist. They were conscious! And revolutionary. Part of the history is that the Black Panthers gave aid to AIM, the Brown Berets, and the White Panthers. That was revolutionary solidarity!

Great film, very moving. I am a white ex- prison officer (UK), 20 years service in maximum security jails. My last 5 years were spent as Diversity Manager on top of my normal duties. During Black History Month each year we would facilitate a range of cultural celebrations for black prisoners. The most popular was always when we brought in the Moderator of the Black History Museum (Cambridge University) to teach black prisoners about their history - standing room only. This erasing of Black History from school curriculums is criminal !!

Panther, along with Posse really had a big effect on me. I wish this movie had more ways of being shared.

the struggles of the Natives and
    African Americans in North America.
The biggest thing I've learned from Malcolm X in terms of living in a corrupt society where it's politically divided is..,
Malcolm X teaches to never turn the other cheek in North, never turn the other cheek in the South or anywhere but carry yourself in a proud, honorable, and respectable way so not only you could have respect for yourself but for your fellow human beings..
Never give into the hate, the anger, or the violence that somebody
    throws in your direction..
but the same time I've learned..
    that any..one..
    puts their hand.. on you..,

A brilliant and very educational film. Its devastating to see how easy it is for 'the powers that should not be' to divide and conquer by means of governments/religions, politics, police brute force, bribery, corruption, drugs and war. Black or white we are all like pawns in a game of chess and there are evil forces playing games with us all. Whenever there is a 'movement' aimed at waking up, educating and empowering the people to fight oppression they have always moved in to crush and destroy it. The only thing they can't destroy is true unconditional love. I'm a 58 yr white female and it took me a long time to learn that drugs, alcohol, addictions, greed and envy destroys lives, we can destroy our own lives and that of others through those things. Freedom, creativity and most of all loyalty, compassion and unconditional love are the only things worth living for, fighting for and dying for. Fear gives sickness to the body, mind and soul. Hate is a cancer to the body, mind and soul. I'm not religious but I pray for peace and love to all and put out that intention. We are ONE no matter what our colour, place of birth or background, we need each other and we need to stick together. Together we are powerful divided we fall/fail. Until human kind realises that the bad we do to others will always come back on us in one form or another, no one can escape it, we all get our 'karma'. Love, compassion and respect has to start with ourselves. Sow the seeds of love, guard our thoughts as 'thoughts become things' so make them good and weed out the bad. Treat others as we would have them treat ourselves. Avoid alcohol and addictive substances especially if you are predisposed to addictive behaviour. Our bodies and minds are Gods temple only put good nutritious foods for the soul in there. Guard against brainwashing. Keep fit, keep healthy. Believe in yourselves, be kind to yourselves and to others. Collectively we are (a part of) God. Keep strong for yourselves, your families and communities. Love to you all from Wales.

This film helped to change my life in such a real and powerful way when I first watched it back in 2008 or 2009 and I was only about 14 or 15 years old! After I watched this, I genuinely became woke in a very real way and before being "woke" was trendy. I remember getting teased and poked fun at because I was so socially conscious. Then, Trayvon Martin got murdered and that's what woke everybody up.

Time has shown us that passive interjection is NOT the most effective way to conquer.

Au contraire, non-violent resistance wrested the Indian subcontinent from centuries of imperial rule. I'd say that was a pretty definitive statement of the power of Ghandi's idea and MLK rather agreed too.
