There is a difference between assumptions, facts and truths(realities).
Assumptions and facts always change but the truth remains true forever. "Perhaps there is no purpose" is an assumption, do you want to know the truth?
In life purpose is EVERYTHING. There is nothing in this life that was not made for a certain reason. For example, Michael Jordan was made for basketball, Michael Jackson was made to dance, Ronaldo was made to score goals, food was made to be eaten, cars were made to transport us etc This does not mean it can only do one thing but rather there is one good thing that comes naturally to it or him.
Just look around and you will see people who are SO good at what they do that they MUST have been born to do that.
So go find your purpose in life and live a fulfilled life. By the way, there is nothing wrong with having fun.

When I think of base jumping, I think of this video. One of the few videos that introduced myself to base jumping. Such as good vibe, epic video.
I realy love the sense of everyone having fun together. A lot of videos are with the focus on one person. It's so great to see a group of people having the time of their lives. I would do it myself if I didn't have a heart transplant lol. The video brings a smile to my face and the music does too

I don’t have a fear of heights, but i do have a fear of falling off the heights. So i was concerned for the people going down, even if i knew they had a parachute.

@Alexandre Morissette far too close for any respectable dive instructor to ever even suggest the sorts of shenanigans they are pulling off when they are basically doing low opening jumps alongside a large object which if god forbid their chute gets yanked towards the building it can go wrong VERY quickly.
Its why I will never understand "base jumping" in a cityscape. There are enough variables to consider in a jump to begin with but to add in the unpredictable gusts you get from around large structures, lots of hazards on the ground, etc.
Large buildings can create a vortex around their superstructure that can be incredibly dangerous but if you go toa place with ALOT of tall buildings in all those lovely straight roads you essentially are jumping down into very narrow artificial "canyons" which have winds and crosswinds that are incredibly strong.

Guys , For people thinking that this stuff is dangerous! It oviesly is. Everything in life is Dangerous. Driving , Swimming , eating , drinking , playing , traveling everything. Yet do we stop doing the most basic things in life ? No Without these stuff in our life's there is no fun . this is fun. The main reason people dont do these sort of stuff is not because there scared altough because they think the parachute wont open. DONT THINK JUST DO. You know. I've Seen people die by just falling down a 1feat jump. And i've also seen people Surviva 3 Stories Up! You never know what can happen. If you dont risk You never will know what can happen and you'll die without a reason to die. everyone has to die wheter you want it or not.

I've done a static line jump and a tandem skydive but would love to have achieved this level of jumps and skills. I salute you guys. Living the dream.
Static line jumps are great and the nice thing is they give you a reserve parachute. I don't think I could what these guys do!

Watched it in 2013...also,in 2020 .I got same feeling everytime.I was kid at that time now,i am also paraglider pilot.This video help me lot to relate my passion.Hope to jump from here and meet that amazing person.
This video was one of my favourite videos when I was a kid maybe aged 13, now I am 23 and I still get those thrills and nostaligia!!!
I dabbled in skydiving before I had kids. I met a few guys that did base and they're a different breed. If you talk to them they know this will be there end, no reserve, no room for error line twist ect. I had two jumps that would've been fatal if it were base, both were line overs that took what seemed like an eternity to fix.

+Dont Care I guess the main reason why skydiving is safer than BASE is due to altitude/time to solve malfunctions.

i really wish I could do this but my crippling fear of heights is just too much to overcome. Even while watching this video I have an overwhelming urge to crouch down every-time a shot of the view over the edge is shown!!! How the hell does anyone muster the courage to take that literal leap of faith?!?! But good on all you folks doing it and much respect! Live your life to the fullest!!!

The number 1 thing I wanna do before I die is base jump like this. I know it will never happen though because heights are my number one fear. If I somehow ever did work up the nerve to do it, I would wear a spiderman outfit before I did it so I could be spiderman lol
Big fear of mine too... But I feel like I'd conquer it more by jumping off of something big vs. jumping from a plane which is already suspended in the air.

I remember when i was a kid this video first came out, i thought it was the best video on the internet. And now that im older, (20) i still see this as one of the best but in different aspects. I really hope one day to be able to go one of these events and jump. For now its a dream, but after watching this video for years, it just looks more fun the more i watch

Accidents can happen in almost anything you do. Driving is statistically one of the most dangerous sane things you can do, but everyone does it. Don't let a few people having bad experiences with stuff ruin your desire to have fun.

I think this is beautiful. I love seeing people realy living and having fun doing it. Yeah this is considered dangerous, but living life on the safe side really resticts you from experiencing amazing things. I hope I can do this one day!

I watched this video two years ago and after watching it I have started to skydiving for base jumping.I have jumped 100 times and I think after completed 200 skydiving jumps I will start base jumping.

Due to the small shape of the tower below, it's very suitable for events like this base jump, where jumpers can perform any action freely without having to worry about colliding with the structure of the tower below

Wish me luck on my first ever jump (tandem skydive) next year, British summer time once i'm legal. I'm only 15 at the moment, but i have prepaid for all equipment and the lift!
