Such a wonderful segment on a topic so touching and tender. It brought me to tears. Great stuff seeker! I wonder if he's planning to make the northern Pacific trip like his father.
This channel is my absolute favourite on TH-cam! It provides an insight into lives of different people from all over the world, and also into things that really matter. Laura, you're absolutely amazing! Keep doing what you do 😊👍🏻
He had two rowing partners. James Jones(1st partner) had to withdraw for health reasons. Erden Eruc replaced him. "Sons of the Pacific"(Louis’ documentary about his father) may cover more about partners.
Hello friends!! I want to thank you for bringing excellent content to TH-cam through all the "Seeker" Channels. Also, I came across Richard Hoggart's "The Uses of Literacy" and his perspective on the "scholarship boy", which made me wonder. Is there any countries or communities out there that implement a different type of educational system, one that perhaps does not focus on acquiring knowledge. I think that is a great topic you could explore! Keep up the Great Work.
I can relate so much with him as I lost my father aswell. The dream is somethin I experienced aswell. Too bad my father wasn't some sort of sportsman asI would be doing that too, like the bloke in the video, to honor him. My father liked food and drink too much so I guess I'm still doing the horing part :P...
exactly, him following his father in such a pointless and selfish enterprise, nobody asked the mother what he thought of it. perhaps it makes more sense for the kid that never knew his father, but the father? escapism of the worst kind, under the guise of adventure.
CosmicBlender no, the son should reevaluate his choices taking in account the choices his father did and the consequences of thise choices for him growing fatherless, wife a widow. does he want to repeat history? what kind of redemption is that. at least let the lesson be learnt, if the dad didnt, the son should.
I watch the program about Peter bird and how he filmed himself and was tracked by a vessel called the dingdong and was narrated by James mayson the actor.the end music was by a lady called Susan higbie and is for me the most beautiful peano music I've heard ever,no wonder I remember the program.
A lot of us Brits do; the vikings landed in masses, and then the normans invaded 300 yrs later (yes, vikings who landed in normandy) so we're basically a mix of germans, vikings or celts.
There is like 4-6 British accents. 1 for southern England, 1 for northern England, 1 for Welsh, 1 for Scottish, 1 for Northern Ireland. and you can further split this into west England and East England. and the same for Scotland and Wales.
We had some down our lane they left a suitcase full of shit with nappies thrown in the hedge . . . . Be sure they will take what ever isn't screwed down . . They love to trick people out of money . . .
We love this Seeker thank you. checkout www.greatpacificrace.com for more news about the Great Pacific Race ans how you can be on the start line for the next race in the summer of 2018.
Erden Eruç was present on this journey. Never are not granted. However, had it not been for that, we were to make the journey. Shame on you. Shame on you! Louis is a poor ego!

Thanks Kalin! I couldn't agree more! haha. We're working on a bunch of really cool, inspiring stories. Hope you'll spread the word! --Laura Ling
Kalin Pugh Yes, definitely an amazing channel!

That's why the news is so popular...They create chaos, because good news doesn't sell.

Holy crap, this channel blows my mind every video
Absolutely amazing. What an inspiration!
Why does it seem like his 'partner' is doing the lion's share of the work? lol
He had two rowing partners. James Jones(1st partner) had to withdraw for health reasons. Erden Eruc replaced him. "Sons of the Pacific"(Louis’ documentary about his father) may cover more about partners.
Probably because when he's rowing, he's not filming it?
Did he make it?
Crazy met this guy before his journey began. Very ambitious
Again this chanel bring us one more amazing video. I wish I could acomplish something like that one day
Wow... that was a beautiful story good on him 🙌🏼
Bet you two had fun.
Hope you will have a beautiful and lasting memory

Sorry for your loss. So God watch over your fathers soul in Jesus name amen
Glad to see such dedicated persons, real rangers, but why did you sailed without an outrigger and a sail?
That boat he is on is worth a fortune
Good work
Feel sorry for this guys mum !
exactly, him following his father in such a pointless and selfish enterprise, nobody asked the mother what he thought of it. perhaps it makes more sense for the kid that never knew his father, but the father? escapism of the worst kind, under the guise of adventure.
His mum would be selfish to hold him back from connecting to his father.
Well, depending on perspective, one person will always be selfish in this situation.

poor mommy
the glenlivet! good choice!
Whether or not one is alone or in pairs this is an incredible brave thing to do.
It must be awkward popping in that boat
It's not awkward when it's a good mate
I think you meant “pooping”! 💩😂
The Ocean is his Toilet 😂 and that’s food for whatever fish that comes across his poop

A man with a mission and it doesn't hurt anything or anyone.
What a story.
WOW incredibly amazing !
Inspirational!
He must have viking blood running through his veins.
A lot of us Brits do; the vikings landed in masses, and then the normans invaded 300 yrs later (yes, vikings who landed in normandy) so we're basically a mix of germans, vikings or celts.
Well, anyone could see that just by looking at him. Blue eyes, fair skin, and blonde hair. His ancestors certainly aren't from Africa.
What about the other guy he gets no credit? He put his life at risk too.
I need to do this too.
He loves his daddy. ❤️👍🏻
Thank you
I did the same thing but I went from los Angeles to Arica, Chile but I stayed by the the coast I didn't dared to loose sight of land
Touching.
They're "sit-down navigatours" who use the GPS (compass for the modern era) to travel to next visible terrestrial zone.
slower than a conventional cruise
there's a pun in the title
Better use sun screen, bub.
This man a mad lad
It's a good workout you know
Damn, one Bri-ish nutter. And I love it!
Taking my breath away within a minute.
Damn thats awesome.
This kind of boat doesn't sink
This is what a real British accent sounds like, not what you Americans think
*one of the real British accents.
Your comment reads like there's one 'real British accent'.
>Talks about how Americans generalize how British accents sound.
>Generalizes Americans.
Nice opinion m8. glad you shared your expertise on British Accents.

Cuz technically they are all part of Great Britan except Northern Ireland.
So he poops in the ocean right

Great video, inspiring story. But...you have a child? Find a safer way across the Pacific. Your kid needs you.

What drives them ? Narcissism ..?
