    Exactly my humor, buying a condo in a country that tightens the visa criteria for long-term residents every year...

    • @USARealityCheck
      @USARealityCheck 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      YES! My thoughts exactly. LTR and possibly kicked out after 10 years... maybe 5 years, if they decide to change the financial criteria midstream and one no longer qualifies. What nonsense. 😡

      Thailand has many visa options and is quite open in my opinion. In fact, buying property can open up some additional visa options. Thailand is also a country where money can fix almost any problem so I wouldn’t worry too much.

    Nice video. Thank you. I looked at your website, but couldn't find any way to sort properties by foreign quota and didn't find that information on the ads, either. Is there a way to just see condos you have listed that are foreign quota only? Thank you 🙂

    • @IndigoChiangmaiRealEstate
      @IndigoChiangmaiRealEstate  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Karen. Thanks for your message. Actually, most condos do still have foreigner quota available. It's best to check with us with individual listing because the information could change as foreigner quota can become available if for example, a foreign owner sells their condo to a Thai person. Hope this helps!

    You forgot to mention that once you open a bank account in Thailand that you have to deposit. From what I’ve heard that you will have a hard time withdrawing the money once you decide to leave Thailand and sell the condo.

    • @IndigoChiangmaiRealEstate

      When you sell the condo, you can show the sales agreement to the bank and they will transfer the funds to your overseas account.

    I'm an American living and working in Thailand. I have saved up about 2 million baht. Is that money useless when buying a condo? I mean, does all the money used to buy the condo need to come from my home country? If so, can I transfer my money to America and then back to my Thai bank account to get around that requirement?

    • @IndigoChiangmaiRealEstate
      @IndigoChiangmaiRealEstate  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, that would work. I’d suggest you talk to your bank too to confirm current requirements.

      I figured that budget is possible in bang saray, which is little south of pattaya. In fact they have even cheaper. But condo's in pattaya seem to be hard to resell. So I just switched to another place in the world.

    What is the point of buying property in Thailand, when the Thai government won't give you a permanent visa. And when you die the property will go to the Thai government or your Thai wife if you have one.

    • @somkit9102

      The point is that you own the place and you don't have to throw money away every month when renting.
