  • In this video, I do a quick review of the things we did to our Vigilante before ever running it. With what we found on the diffs, everyone should do the same to have the best experience out the box! Also just a few trigger pulls on it before our upcoming bash day!

    Thicker fluid in the front/ thinner in the rear will help it turn better during acceleration. If you drive and turn around without using the throttle then it’s okay but I don’t know many people that turn not using the throttle. It will plow with the heavier weight in the front, as I’m seeing in the video

      For a racing set up this would be better suited I believe... On a basher, I want my 2 rear tires spinning at the same rate. With thinner oils (Anything under 80K) I notice a "waddle walk" when trying to ride a wheelie and also inconsistent launches of ramps when not hitting it straight on.
      100K is what I normally put in my trucks but with the larger 5th scale, the owner wanted to put something heavier in the rear for the extra torque the truck has.
      Outside of racing, I never go thicker in front then rear because I don't like the way the trucks will turn with thicker oils in the front... thicker then, lets say, 100K.

      Right on, yeah it all depends on the persons driving, I love my 6s rigs with 60k front and 20k rear, and either 500k to 20M center for fast turns, big jumps, hard corners and all around fun.

      @NPCRC  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@WildBoyRC I would say we are the same on 6S trucks except the rear... that waddle walk has messed me up alot when trying to ride wheelies. With that thick in the center, it keeps the power more even F and R so it makes the diff oils more noticable if you get up on one wheel more then another in the rear... and if your at and angle on ramp launches... IMO

      @WildBoyRC หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@NPCRC hmm maybe you’re right with that waddle walk, I’ll check mine out this weekend and see how the wheelies are. Depending on the rig I think my built sledge is fine but I think my arrma fireteam does that a bit sometimes, we’ll see

      @@WildBoyRC I went to 100K in rear of my Notorious, Kaiju, Reeper and Kraton and i noticed a big difference over stock and my original 60K choice

    Is it just me, or upon acceleration, maybe intermittently, am i hearing your diffs? Great video.

    • @NPCRC
      @NPCRC  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The gears are metal. Justin called out a noise too in this video but it was the first run and to me, it sounded rotational... not intermittently or upon throttle only. We had it out 2 other times and still no diff issues, even after 2 bad wrecks.

    • @NPCRC
      @NPCRC  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So i don't see where they are adjustable myself but I also don't need them to be. But curious on how they are adjustable.... we looked but I don't see an adjustment option. Issue some had though are their packs are too fat and hit the middle brace support. Not sure if the adjustment you seen will help with that but, again, curious!

      If you keep doing it as a multiple times and it doesn't seem justified it's possible that you might have to shim the diff. Maybe it's sitting too far away from each other or maybe they're too tight
