  • The first leg of our latest trip away is 3 nights at Foxhills Campsite (Adult Only) in Weybourne, North Norfolk. 18 Large pitches, grass and hard standing on this quirky site. The area is stunning, with heathland, beaches, little village pub and tea rooms and right next door to a military museum. Fabulous!
    Join us as we show you around the site and the area. Deffo coming back to this one.

    Just had our first trip to Foxhills, will not be the last, as you have said, superb site and quiet too. Had a CL pitch (Pigeon) with own water supply. The Ship Inn in Weybourne does quality food, (and nice beer), dined there twice, enjoyed it so much the first visit!
    Thanks for the introduction to this site Dave and Helen.

    Thanks for this 👍. I’m from Spalding so these videos you’ve done recently are great for a relatively short journey. One useful bit of info that would help me when you do your detailed analysis of the site would be to know what amperage the electrics are. Very few sites seem to quote it, and for us, 16amp is important as I don’t want to be juggling between kettle and water heater to avoid tripping the electrics etc. cheers

    • @HelenandDave
      @HelenandDave  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi Robin, thanks so much, we're glad that you fined the video's useful and yes, we will make a point wherever we can of highlighting the EHU rating. We always aim to go with 16amp but sometimes, especially in the summer months, the setting/outlook can sway us to accept a 10amp EHU point. Best wishes to you and your family for a Merry Christmas. Cheers, Helen & Dave.

    I was about to say Weybourne has an active aerodrome which is used for target practice using lasers. I didn't think you would be able to use your Drone. Also North Repps Aerodrome is near. Regular flight path for tourist flights from Norwich. We normally use Woodhill Park.

    Great video guys, the site looks very quaint and quiet but absolutely love the Hercs going over the site as a reference point. As I mentioned before it's our first year caravaning but for 48 of my 56 years I have spent an awful lot of time with my camera at the end of runways both military and civil so hearing Hercs all night is a big plus for me. And as I'm ex army the proximity to Mucklebrough is a bonus.

    You mention the pitches being named after birds, I good chance I feel to ask all campers to park as far away from hedges as possible during the nesting season. Having witnessed birds deserting nests on more than one occasion through people parking too close it seems something that gets overlooked by owners and campers alike.

It has a bar and restaurant (see link below). We really like North Norfolk though I have a playlist with all Norfolk sites we have visited, that might be worth a look. Poppylands and Deers Glade also really nice oh and Old Brick Kilns near Fakenham and also Two Mills at North Walsham. See what I mean?
