    I too work a full time job but I write consistently after work pretty much everyday and including the weekends. If not writing, I’m usually doing some administrative stuff related to music licensing. Year after year my income from music royalties is on a steady incline because I stay consistent. And yes I still get rejections or asked to revise which at times is frustrating realistically, but I swallow my pride and just do what needs to be done instead of complaining.

    Well, I'm so glad that I'll be eligible to fully retire, from the government, in 3 years. And I already know that my pension will be enough to cover my bills, so whatever I make from sync licensing will be extra income. That will allow me to relax, focus, and do this right. No pressure!

    Once you submit your tracks to music libraries, are they exclusive for placement or can you use those tracks for something else if other opportunities come along?

    • @chriswilliamstunes1
      @chriswilliamstunes1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jovena26 You can use it for other opportunities; only if it is non-exclusive. However, be careful. Some non- exclusive libraries have “Perpetuity” clauses. That means; that your music stays in that library forever; and you wont be able to give it to another library exclusive.
      I would also be careful as to how many places that you put that track. It is easy to lose track of where everything is. Always keep a log and know where everything is snd what state it is in. I say this; because, if you have a track that is being used non- exclusive and you want to take it to a exclusive library; you need to mKe sure that you take it out of the other non exclusive libraries first. As I already stated; make sure those tracks are not in perpetuity. If they are; You won’t be able to commit them exclusive, anywhere else 👍
      Hope this helps. If not, Jesse will definitely be able to explain this to you

    Why no one is saying what library they submit music for. They are definitely holding information

    • @SyncMyMusic
      @SyncMyMusic  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Do you really expect producers to actively supply competition for themselves with the libraries they work with? No one has the obligation to work against their own self interests.

    Bruce is a professionnal sync producer but still needs to have a day job?

    • @SyncMyMusic
      @SyncMyMusic  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Bruce is currently in the beginning phase of his career by actively building up his catalogue with multiple Music Libraries. It takes time to build up one's royalties to the point where other sources of income aren't needed, but you gotta start where you're at.

      @@SyncMyMusic I agree. I started in 2014 and I just started at the end of 2018 receiving $10-$15 per month and its September 2019. Hopefully next year will be better especially because I never stopped distributing my music. Also it takes long to get paid because if a music supervisor uses your music immediately; you won't see the money until a year. After that year the residual income then comes in.
