The reason why Cartman hasn't gotten to them yet is that he still needs him. The biggest example is Kyle. Cartman hates with with a passion, but he still needs someone to rip on for his Sematic quips as demonstrated in "Smug Alert" Kenny practically dies all the time so he's good as Cartman states in "Cartmanland" I can't say the same thing about Stan though...........
Cartman needs Kyle and Stan because they are his antithesis the very opposite of who he his. If South Park ever ends it’s going to end with Cartman and Kyle being best friends because deep down they need others craziness.
You noticed in later episodes cartman keeps saying under his breath "I'll feed you to your parents" I only noticed cause of having the subtitles on. Also when Kenny says certain things if you have the subtitles on it actually tells you what he's saying instead of just *muffled voices*
Funny how even when he's about to casually reveal an extremely twisted and murderous revenge plan, Cartman still tells Chef that his chili is delicious.

1:48 - 1:55 you know.. that part doesn’t really shock me. Stan and Kyle have foiled cartman’s plans so many times, I kinda expected he’d be half-expecting them to try to stop him ANY TIME he comes up with some plan or scheme. But I never predicted he’d use it to his advantage and create a diversion plan COMPLETELY aware they’d try to stop cartman and warn Scott. But little did they know.. in doing so, they pretty much enabled cartman to enact his TRUE plan to ruin Scott’s life. The irony and the crazy twist of this was cartman WANTED them to try to sabatoge cartman’s plan for once so his TRUE plan could be put into motion. Looks like this time… Stan and Kyle, rather than saving the day and getting the better of cartman like usual, this time, they ended up being responsible for allowing cartman to win in one of the most insane, cruel, and just messed up ways possible. Ah, the irony of it all.

I watched this episode at college with my roommate Mike. I entered the college after five years at a community college, so I was five years older than my roommate. Unlike Mike, I was intimately familiar with classic South Park and knew how this episode ended. When they arrived at the carnival, I asked him "Do you really not know how this ends?" His response was "Uh...He eats the chili with the pubes in it?" I then realized I was about to witness someone's first reaction to it.
This clearly was the episode where everyone knew not to underestimate Cartman again. He maybe stupid and lazy but when he really puts his mind into something and is willing to accomplish it to the very end he’s actually an unstoppable genius
Not only did Cartman plan on having Scott's parents killed and make him eat them, he also timed everything so Scott would look pathetic in front of his favorite band in the world. Cartman completely destroyed him.

The best thing about this episode is that despite Cartman being a truly despicable character, we all felt at least a little bad seeing him be humiliated and manipulated several times by an older kid. At the end of the episode, just when it seems like Cartman will receive a super cruel joke played on him in front of the entire town, he completely shocks everyone by revealing he's playing a super cruel prank on Scott in front of the entire town...and Radiohead, lol.
Scott Tenorman is actually one of the most important characters of the show, before the episode Cartman was rude but still caring and rather normal, but after the episode he suddenly went to the psychopathic and diavolical kid we know. And he also revealed that Jack Tenorman (Scott's dad) was Cartman's real father and they're half-brothers.
the fact that he was fully prepared to eat pube chili just to go through with this revenge plot shows how much psychotic resolve cartman has, as if this whole episode wasn’t enough

I remember watching this entire episode live and being kinda pissed cuz I thought it was boring until the last 2 minutes, then it became one of the most classic episodes ever.

Cartman wasn't a great kid to begin with, his mom's shitty parenting assured that; but when you put all these circumstances together, you get the perfect storm. 1:20 We are led to believe that Cartman’s smile here is a facade.. but the plot twist is that no, it’s genuine. He made a truth look like a lie by using a truth. It’s a little scary how calculated his revenge plot was.
Years later, this is still one of the most shocking moments ( *IF NOT THE MOST* )in adult cartoon history, it's extremely rare to get something as brutal, cruel, heartless and shocking as this and yet making this funny with Radiohead members bashing Scott in the most painful moment in his life, crazy
It's amazing because for most of the episode Cartman's revenge schemes against Scott are all just lame, relatively harmless kid pranks. But when those fail, his final revenge plot is possibly the most evil thing you could possibly do to someone. He goes from childish brat to sadistic serial killer in the blink of an eye.

See that is where one must admit how amazing the writing is. This show can make a character kill a couple, ground up their remains, and cook it into a chili to feed to their orphaned child... and yet still have people feeling conflicted or even sympathetic to Cartman growing up to become a homeless alcoholic junkie.

This episode was the birth of the Eric Cartman we know and love. Before this he could be a bit of an ass and a douche but he never really did anything particularly horrible. But Scott Tennerman pushed him to such extremes that it birthed a monster.
I love this episode... I love how everyone thinks Cartman is going to eat the chili made by Scott with pubes in it but the whole story changed to a completely different direction at the end... I also love how Eric Cartman successfully did his revenge! Also with the part about the radio head.
I see where you're coming from but, that's not entirely true. The "You're Getting Old" episode with stan is pretty interesting. As well as "the list" episode with kyle. The "Butters Own Episode" Episode was really interesting, too, and that one was pretty messed up. Not as messed up as this one but, messed up.
@ no, he reflects what we really believe in but most have either to pull back for fear of being hunt down by the current powers or simply believe they are “better than that”. Cartman is the person we all wish to be, gets his way, says what’s in his heart, don’t take no from no one, I love him.
If you go further, Scott himself was also an unintentionally accomplice, since he sent his parents to their deaths. Cartman's plot's web is so deep and evil, the only think he hadn't planned on was how delicious would be Chef's chili.

The last 3 minutes are hands down the most dark and hilarious thing SP ever did. I can’t stop laughing every time I see this. It’s like Cartman keeps it at a 7 all the way up to this point, then he just hits 67 and breaks the crank off forever

Cartman confessed that Chef’s chili wasn’t planned, which implies he was totally, 100% down with eating Scott’s pubes if it meant getting the final laugh of making him eat his own parents remains. Which is EXTREMELY in character.. he’s done absolutely APPALLING stuff before to get what he’s wanted before.. so it makes sense. But the cherry on top of his plan was one added to the end, where Chef fell for Cartman’s naivety and entered in the contest too, and he realized that he could use Chef’s chili to escape from the one thing people could still hold over him even after getting sweet vengeance on Scott. Wow. He’s completely diabolical.
You'd think Scott would have noticed that his parents never came home after he sent them to Denkins' ranch, or that Barbrady would have told him that they were dead.
At that point it would've been too late anyways, Cartman already won by then. The whole grinding their bodies into ground meat for chili was icing on the cake.
Love this episode. This is when Cartman went from being a school bully to being a Machiavellian villain. Also for those who don't know, this ending is a nod towards Shakespeare's 'Titus Andronicus', albeit with a few details changed obviously lol.

I remember reading that "Scott Tenorman Must Die" was considered to be one of, if not the best South Park episodes ever made. I had seen a few seasons of the show but not a lot of the earlier ones, so I decided to see what the hype around this episode was. When I got to the end I had to get my friends help to pick my jaw up off the floor. This is THE defining South Park episode.

The best thing about this episode is that despite Cartman being a truly despicable character, we all felt at least a little bad seeing him be humiliated and manipulated several times by an older kid.
At the end of the episode, just when it seems like Cartman will receive a super cruel joke played on him in front of the entire town, he completely shocks everyone by revealing he's playing a super cruel prank on Scott in front of the entire town...and Radiohead, lol.

I see where you're coming from but, that's not entirely true. The "You're Getting Old" episode with stan is pretty interesting. As well as "the list" episode with kyle. The "Butters Own Episode" Episode was really interesting, too, and that one was pretty messed up. Not as messed up as this one but, messed up.

Cartman confessed that Chef’s chili wasn’t planned, which implies he was totally, 100% down with eating Scott’s pubes if it meant getting the final laugh of making him eat his own parents remains. Which is EXTREMELY in character.. he’s done absolutely APPALLING stuff before to get what he’s wanted before.. so it makes sense. But the cherry on top of his plan was one added to the end, where Chef fell for Cartman’s naivety and entered in the contest too, and he realized that he could use Chef’s chili to escape from the one thing people could still hold over him even after getting sweet vengeance on Scott.

Love this episode. This is when Cartman went from being a school bully to being a Machiavellian villain.
Also for those who don't know, this ending is a nod towards Shakespeare's 'Titus Andronicus', albeit with a few details changed obviously lol.

I remember reading that "Scott Tenorman Must Die" was considered to be one of, if not the best South Park episodes ever made. I had seen a few seasons of the show but not a lot of the earlier ones, so I decided to see what the hype around this episode was.
When I got to the end I had to get my friends help to pick my jaw up off the floor. This is THE defining South Park episode.
